Title: Basketball in Trinidad and Tobago
Post by: big dawg on April 24, 2006, 04:41:25 PM
Can anyone (locally based) care to give an update on the current status of Basketball in Trinidad and Tobago. Any information about the  players, teams, the league, the Association or any details about Basketball in general would be appreciated.

I'm hoping that the sport didn't die-off with the success of the warriors..

Well the league opened on Sunday at the Jean Pierre Complex.

It has been running successfully for a few years now. Or maybe more than a few years. Alot of teams are getting sponsored and there are alot of mini leagues popping up all over the country.

My brother plays for a secon division team that's how I know when the league opened. But any other info you will have to get from someone who actually plays and is a vital part of the league. I might talk to him about it later.

But anyway the league is big and there is even a female league and secondary school league both male and female teams battke it out.
