Lyndon “Chubby” Andrews got the only goal of the match as Joe Public moved to a two-point lead in the T&T Pro League Senior Division standings,in the game against North East Stars yesterday. The Eastern Lions went into the match at the Sangre Grande Recreation Ground, trailing Juan Jabloteh by one point. The San Juan club had won on Saturday. But Andrews scored the decisive goal in the 69th minute to silence the “Grande” crowd in an evenly contested match. The Eastern Lions now have 41 ponts, two more than Jabloteh, while Stars, who had won their last two matches, remains on 37 points.

Baptiste nets Jabloteh winner.

On Saturday night, previous leaders San Juan Jabloteh ended a two- match winless streak with a less than impressive 1-0 triumph over Starworld Strikers, in the second match of a double- header at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar. National midfielder Kerry Baptiste converted a penalty in the 81st minute for Jabloteh, after his team-mate and fellow national player, Anthony Wolfe, had squandered a handful of chances.

In the night’s first match at Malabar, striker Akudu Goodridge scored a goal and made another, as Defence Force stunned fifth placed Neal & Massy Caledonia AIA 2-1. Goodridge opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time on a sluggish surface. The burly Goodridge later won the ball from AIA defender Radanfah Abu Bakr on the right corner and whipped in a pinpoint cross that was met by the head of midfielder Ronald “Sharky” St Louis, who smartly glanced it into the far corner in the 55th minute. Second-half substitute Conrad Smith got AIA back into the match when he volleyed in his first of the season off a Kareem Joseph feed, but Defence Force held out for the win.

A hat-trick from St Benedict’s College student Matthew Bartholomew propelled defending league champions W Connection to a 7-0 thrashing of United Petrotrin, at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva. Bartholomew got his goals in the 12th, 27th and 64th minutes, while William De Oliveira (20th), George Isaac (32nd), Hughton Hector (79th) and team captain Earl Jean (84th) had one each in the demolition.

Sounds like he doesn't fit into J.Public's plans...if I were him, I'd be glad to be released to a smaller team where he'd be more likely to get playing time and possibly even be a leader.......that would help his fitness, form & sharpness....and possibly allow him to be seen........

Kudu was on fire some years ago for defense force they send him back to Rangers where he was scoring goal like peas as soon as they hear Rangers heading to the Pro League  they call him back I believe he had the potential to be a top class striker

I actually think Hardest will be better off going to a bigger club.  His talents will be best utilized playing alongside top strikers who can finish his pin-point accurate passes.  Joe Public's lack of quality is holding him back.  He should go Real Madrid to realize his true potential.
