Pres close gap on Naparima.
By: Mervyn Stewart (Express).

Two late goals by Akeem Marshall and Derwin Lee gave Presentation College a 2-0 win over hosts Moruga Composite in South Zone BG T&T Secondary Schools Football League action yesterday at the Moruga Recreation Ground.
Moruga pressed relentlessly throughout the match, but good defence work by Keon Francis and Jerrelle Lum Kin, backed by good goalkeeping by Terrence Ramsaroop, kept the scoresheet blank.
"Pres" (16 points) are now five points behind leaders Naparima College, who were on a bye yesterday.
Princes Town moved up to 14 points but remained in third position following a 3-1 win over Fyzabad Composite. And at Mahaica Oval, Vessigny Secondary edged struggling St Benedict's College 1-0 to go above them into fifth in the standings.

The St Anthony's College strikers finally found their shooting boots to record their third victory of the season in nine encounters, when they overpowered Trinity College 3-0 in BG T&T Secondary Schools Football League North Zone action yesterday.
Second-half strikes by Kevon Villaroel, Duane James and Jonathan Glenn at the "Tigers'" Westmoorings lair gave them not only full points, but the first time they have won a match by more than a single goal.
The trend for St Anthony's thus far has been to squander chances laid upon a silver platter. And they have been punished for it, with two losses and four draws to show.
If the first half of the encounter was any indication, the pro-Tigers crowd would have been anticipating more of the same yesterday.
Midfielders Mykhael Bain, Jerry Goddard and Villaroel were guilty of improvidence, throwing away golden opportunities to send their team ahead. Their other major obstacle proved to be Trinity custodian Zane Coker.
Coker held Bain's bicycle kick after 22 minutes and three minutes later, Goddard hit over from point-blank range after Justin Highley eluded the goalkeeper.
Trinity's Kyle Texeira nodded a James' effort off the line in the 36th, while Trinity's best chance of the half was volleyed wide by Vikern Hunte in the 40th.
The resumption saw more of the same, but the Tigers played so deep in the Trinity half it seemed unlikely-except from the odd counterattack-the visitors could cause an upset.
Nicholas Hernandez hit wide of the vulnerable St Anthony's College goal seconds after the resumption and within the next ten minutes, Villaroel, James and half-time substitute Qian Grosvenor were thwarted by Coker.
Villaroel finally broke the deadlock in the 60th, collecting from Grosvenor and planting past Coker into the far post.
The Tigers began to smell blood and intensified the hunt and that paid off in the 79th, when Grosvenor brought the ball in the area and played a short pass for James to slot home.
Glenn, who returned to the St Anthony's line-up after injury kept him out for most of this season, banged in the third item in the 81st, after Coker initially blocked Villaroel's shot, then Glenn's first attempt. The victory places the Tigers within two points of Fatima, who were on a bye, in the race for second spot.
Also in the North, unbeaten Mucurapo got their seventh victory in eight matches with a 3-1 beating of St Mary's College at St Mary's ground, while QRC got past Malick 1-0 at their St Clair Avenue home ground.
St Augustine slam Malabar 3-0.
By: Roger Seepersad (Express).

St Augustine hammered Malabar 3-0 at Warren Street, St Augustine yesterday to stay on top the East Zone in the British Gas Secondary Schools Football League.
Daniel Joseph continued his great form, scoring in the ninth minute to put early pressure on the Malabar defence. Malabar keeper Zwade James was slow in coming off his line as Joseph dragged the ball around him, scoring from close range.
Malabar did not have many chances to score, their best opportunity coming from a free kick floated in by Jevon Gentle late in the first half. The ball drifted wide, not troubling St Augustine Keeper Joel Johnson, who had little work to do throughout the game.
St Augustine scored twice in the second half with strikes from Ryan O'Neil in the 69th and Elton John in the 74th minute.
O'Neil's goal resulted from a free kick which he struck low and hard to beat James.
A mix-up in the Malabar back line resulted in an easy goal for O'Neil which sealed the one-sided victory.
In another East Zone fixture, El Dorado struck late to salvage a point as they drew with Hillview College at El Dorado ground.
After an early goal by Leonado Reyes in the second minute, Hillview had to settle for the draw as they did not take full advantage of their chances, Leonado Reyes missing a penalty that could have sealed their victory.
San Juan also emerged victorious against Toco, defeating them 4-1 in San Juan to remain second in the East Zone.
