Post by: trinbago on January 17, 2007, 07:17:42 PM
For all those who heard commentary, went to the game or read reports and now able to get an idea of his play over the 3 matches.

Hardest did his part effectively alongside Theobald.  Theobald had perfect passes throughout the game - even more so than in the previous game.  Hardest finally stepped up his game and made a contribution.  Tinto is still looking like a promising talent.

Good result.  GO T&T!!

for anyone who knows Kerwyn his performances are no surprise.  The man is a phenom long time.

What is left to be seen is how he handles LONG TERM COMITTMENT to the National Team.  Will he remain in the mix or fold up and quit after the coach give him a buff?  Will he show up to scheduled practices, or fall off again to play ball in the quarry?  At 28, is he ready to be a leader, or is he still the classic "misunderstood victim prima dona"?

So as a man who knows Hardest as a player for many years, I will reserve my comment for a year or so to see if he really has changed, or if he will run true to form and find a reason to quit sometime soon.

A little above average, but nothing spectacular.

Y'all right, he need to work on fitness, so he could be a little more intense...and some more composure which will help his decision making.

Saw him over the last 3 games, a few things struck out.

He uses his body very well to protect the ball, especially being very left footed which results in him getting fouled a lot

But because of the fittness the energy he uses to protect the ball to move away from his marker is followed by a poor pass most of the time, in his mind he knows what he is trying to do but the execution not right there yet.

Not the best defensively but i guess that is a given with a creative mid.

Would like to see him get into full fittness, where we could see some better passes. He trying to thread plenty but it not there yet. The talent is obvious but his history has given him a short rope with the supporting public.

I find the options in this thread Disrespectful.

LATAPY is the BOSS

and on his absolute worst day, with alcho in he system, 2 a pack of cigarette in he lungs and now come from jamming ting in a party he woulda outclass any performance done by Jemmot in this digicel cup.

Forget this potential and coulda be better.

HE IS NOT

Long live the legend

......LATAPY......

Can anyone please tell me what were the criterias used to make Latapy the G.O.A.T? It fascinating reading that there is not another player who posess/ed the ability of Latapy. I mean there has to someone else....right?

didn't see the martinique game but i caught the barbados and haiti games... now i personally didn't find he played badly in either game...in fact i think he is a big one, who needs to fully settle into his role and stay involved for the whole game... that's the only ting i had a complaint about how he faded out of the game... otherwise he looks a solid playmaker, i didn't mind the couple wayward passes as for the most part i could see he was looking for that killer pass thus showing me HE IS D REL PLAYMAKER...

right now this brodda is Trinidad's response to Riquelme... and we all know what Roman can do when on song so i say he has to be a part of future squads....

but btw...that freekick wasn't anything special...

Tallman, yuh nearly kill me with laugh dey.  :rotfl:

As a young player Jemmot was always muuuuch better than his peers.  The man always stood out and he was called "the next Latapy" from young.  The downfall was (is?) big-playeritis and bad attitude.  When I said "phenom" I mean to say he was immensely talented from young.  There is no way I am saying that he is a phenom now.  No way.

In the Haiti game Hardest hit Glasgolw a pass between two defenders on Glassglow foot. Glasglow control wasn't bess and when he finally control it he flick to number 11. That pass by Hardest was a killer pass. Not the first one I saw from him either. He had one in the Bimshire game too. It obvious the man have nuff talent but his lack of fitness is killing his game. He does make a good play and then rest for bout minutes after that.

A talented man could easier get fit than a fit man get talent.

The qestion is now when should his lack of fitness cost him his place on the squad. Cause men comparing him to Latas and Latas get a small sweat in the World Cup because lack of fitness.
