Ah know nuff man go cuss for dis one but ah doh care. Growing up ah listened to The Police, ah had posters, teeshirts de works and one thing ah always said is if the every got back together and did a tour dat it wouldn't have any amount ah money in de world dat would stop me from going.......Finally after 2 decades of waiting it finally happened, The POLICE :wavetowel: :wavetowel: :wavetowel: :wavetowel: :wavetowel: :wavetowel: :wavetowel: :wavetowel: are coming to Toronto on the 27th July and tickets go on sale this Saturday 17th. By hook or by crook ah going to get 2 really fricking good tickets and carry me blasted camera and PDA to tape de ass out of that show.
Anyway just wanted to see who on de forum will want to attend just incase ah get me hands on some extras

I recorded some of stings show once and it worked fine. I converted everything to mp3 and de sound was really good. So ah going to try it again and see what ah get. Presales tickets are out today at 12 noon

No worries Daddyo, I've followed this band during the 80's and to be honest I just wanted to see them live. They could play sh*t for all I care but to see Copeland and Summers back at it again is enough for me. I've seen sting a few times already and I think he's the sh*ts but to see them all together was a long time dream for me. Not to mention all my friends that followed the music, I will be the only one that would have seem them live! But at $225 + tax my wife would kill me :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :beermug: :beermug: :beermug: :beermug: :beermug: :beermug: :beermug:

Yeah I was reading moment ago that Sting's son was the opening act cool though :beermug: :beermug: :beermug:
It was also announced that the opening act for the North American leg of the tour would be Fiction Plane, a pop-rock band from England featuring lead singer Joe Sumner, the son of Sting.

thing is that these fellas doh have anything that they've worked on recently. probably they could do some of sting's material. maybe they will get some more "guest" musicians - people they have worked with in their post-police careers. with those ticket prices people need a good show.

I only hate de fact dat he went back to his Jazz roots and his music doh have de edge it used to have. PPL still buy his albums, I stopped collecting them.

Ah doh think they have any band now-ah-days dat could even come reach de heights dat the Police had and still have. AH remember watching Police preform at Err....A Rock war (ah think dat is what it was) and dem men real get on and it had bands like Steel Pulse and Third World and all dem dey. Ah think dat really solidify de kinda understanding dat music is universal and yu jus have to listen to de heights dat ppl pushing.

So many artists stick with what made dem famous to begin with.
The truly gifted tries different things and take risks.
Prince, Michael Jackson (i eh talking about his face changes) and Sting are examples.
