Title: TTFA or TTFF. Which is legally the administration?
Post by: kentsoulman on October 13, 2007, 04:16:47 AM
If elections for TTFF are every 4 years, how come its taken 5 years and 2 months since the last one? (sept 02)

Also, heres one for you bar room lawyers...... TTFA is the recognised appointed football administration organisation. It is still in existence. TTFF is a limited company. Who suddenly decided to allow TTFF to take over from TTFA? TTFA is a non profit organisation. TTFF has shareholders/directors. Does this mean that profits/dividends  are being paid? Why did FIFA choose to recognise TTFF when TTFA was still in existence?

If somebody could figure out how to be elected to TTFA, they could legally oppose TTFF for their right to represent football.

Now, I'm not being cynical here, but is it possible, if you have the right connections in FIFA and everybody in T&T scared of you, to form a company and say "from today, we are running football", take profits from the company and organise elections that you can control, and have no public accountability?

 ;D ;D ;D

The devil is in the detail.
Jack just have TTFA rubber stamping the "company" TTFF.
Somebody should look at the TTFA constitution and the zones recognised by it and whether they still exist and have functioning committees.
You'll probably see that they just meet "on paper to rubber stamp.
When next I'm home I'll pose the question to an ex pres of TTFA

VFFOTT meets to disband TTFF
T&T Guardian

The Veteran Footballers Foundation of Trinidad and Tobago (VFFOTT) membership will meet with Football Clubs and Stakeholders on Sunday from 10:30 am at the Paragon Sports Club, Cocorite, located near to the Westshore Medical Centre.

The VFFOTT stakeholders meeting will focus on immediate action with respect to the removal of recognition of the T&T Football Federation (TTFF) as the governing btody for football in T&T. Selby Browne, VFFOTT vice-president confirmed, the Football Stakeholders include: players, administrators, coaches, referees, trainers, managers, team owners, league operators, sponsors and team supporters, who will also discuss issues associated with the structure, administration, organization, operation and management of football in the country.

Browne also indicated the documents to be reviewed include the following:
*The T&T Football Association (TTFA), incorporated by an Act of Parliament, Number 17, 1982, which empowers all clubs to run their Football Association after the history of an unincorporated association of individual Clubs that dates back to 1908.

*The TTFF, registered in 2006, as an Individual Trader in the name of Sole Trader, Oliver Camps, approved upon application dated April 4, 2006.

The submission was made to the Parliament in 2009, Act No. 18 of 2009, to have the TTFF, incorporated to replace the TTFA. This action was never approved and lapsed in 2010 when Parliament was prorogued. VFFOTT and football Stakeholders will therefore join in open dialogue and cooperation, to return the highest standard of football, administration, operation and management to our common goal to- "Move Football Forward in Trinidad and Tobago”.

VFFOTT always been active... these things take time. When I was home for Carnival I walk across to a VFFOTT function in the Plex in Barataria. Brendon Batson and Football Supporter was some of the guest speakers.
Better late than never and these older heads finally wake up. Jack had them under serious manners for 30 years. If they succeed they will effectively remove power from the zonal heads and place it back in the clubs, players and referees associations!  :beermug:

VFFOTT: TTFF acting illegally.
T&T Express Reports.

The Veteran Footballers Foundation of Trinidad and Tobago (VFFOTT) is threatening the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) for what it claims are "illegal" operations.

By media release on Monday, VFFOTT vice-president Selby Browne questioned the legal standing of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF), as well as the financial support of Government for the Federation.

"Why (have) successive Governments been paying millions of taxpayers' dollars to this illegal TTFF, when the legal body to govern football in Trinidad and Tobago, incorporated by Parliament with Act 17 of 1982, is the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA)?" the release asked.

VFFOTT also stated that "enough is enough", according to the release, and revealed that the Foundation has already written letters to the Ministry of Sport and the T&T Olympic Committee (TTOC), as well as the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), CONCACAF and FIFA to query those bodies' recognition of the TTFF.

The Foundation says things can no longer continue to be "business as usual with the TTFF" and has threatened legal action to prevent further activity by the Federation.

Is now they coming at the 99th hour with this half hearted bullshit? After so much damage is done?

Why they wait until Jack gone to start this,Jack/Camps are the men who made these changes, both of them gone.We have been operateing under that label for a number of years and no one said anything,we made WC finals,we hosted and went to a number of WC's and tournaments under that label, how we going about disbanding that?i am no lawyer just asking.

Coop's de major thing with the TTFF vs TTFA

The TTFF has a separate constitution and voting is in the hands of the zonal heads and them 6 alone. Thats why the cabal can have secret elections that you only find out about long after. This is how Camps stayed in power. Jack bought and owned the Zonal heads. Even trying to take over as a zonal head was difficult as president and Keith Look Loy found out last year.

However for the TTFA the votes used to be in the hands of every single registered club. I believe the referees association and the schools league had a vote too.

In short VFFOTT wants to disband the TTFF which is a private company registered under the name of Oliver Camps and return to the TTFA and put the power back in the hands of the people.

Yuh iz a man doh talk by de seat ah yuh pants and I actually never knew the difference between the two, if this is in fact the case, yeah, forward ever backward never, what a waste of a footballing talent and legacy with an incredibly bankrupt admin; shudder to think of where we could have been on the at least regional scale.  But the usual end to such a discourse is "who say beers"

I understand all that but what i'm asking is,isn't the same people who runs the TTFA runs the TTFF?or one is the people (clubs) and the other our Football administrators. Was Jack/Camps ever in control or in charge of the TTFA?
What i'm really getting at is who will be in the TTFA offices when the TTFF is disbanded, which administration will be running our Football, will there be changes in the personel that comprise our administration,i agree with disbanding the TTFF now i'm starting to look at after that is done.

If TTFF get disbanded. We just get a new set a people. It have plenty former ball players and capable people who stay away for football becuase of Jack and company. It have Selby, Tansley, Steve David. And all those who oppose the present regime. I want to say you, but I would prefer you take it easy.

VFFOTT again states: “It cannot be business as usual with the TTFF”
VFFOTT Secretariat

Mr. Selby Browne, Vice President of the Veteran Footballers Foundation of Trinidad and Tobago (VFFOTT) says the sole legal body to run football in this Republic is the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association, established by an Act of the Parliament - Act 17 of 1982.

Based on information that the TTFF plans to hold an election under their Constitution on November 11th 2012, along with the sad state of football and the  poor treatment to footballers in this Republic, VFFOTT has written to the TTFF calling for an urgent meeting between representatives of the TTFF and VFFOTT within seven (7) days, at a Port of Spain venue, date and time, convenient to the TTFF, in the interest of putting football right in Trinidad and Tobago.

Failing such a meeting, VFFOTT will take the action necessary to restore football to its pristine status, after the steep  plunge and will  do what’s right to  place due recognition to the major asset of the football family, the present footballers and the generations to come.

VFFOTT also calls on the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Mrs. Kamla Persad Bissessar to have the Government of this Republic  recognize the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago with specific reference to Act 17 of 1982, as well as ensure payment is made to the National Footballers of World Cup 2006, as ordered by the Court, for a contract they entered into with Austin Jack Warner, her Minister of National Security.

VFFOTT will hold a Footballers Stakeholders Convention on Sunday 4th November 2012 at the Barataria Sportplex, Barataria at 10.30 am, at which a Trinidad and Tobago Football Executive Committee would be elected.

VFFOTT is committed to working along with the new Trinidad and Tobago Football Executive Committee to  ensure  the  refocusing,  restructuring and the proper development of football with focus on the quality of the game, the footballers and administration of integrity, says VFFOTT, Vice President, Mr. Selby Browne.

Mr. Selby Browne confirmed,  VFFOTT has an excellent response from football stakeholders, including clubs registered under the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association, (TTFA)  Footballers, Coaches, Trainers, Sponsors and Fans, interested in joining with VFFOTT  to work together on a return of football in Trinidad and Tobago to its glory days of global recognition and respect.

I do not know who is worst, Central FC, the 06 Warriors or VFFOTT.

Wake me up when anyone actually listens to these Imbeciles.

If they want the TTFF, they need to get in touch with Warner.
