Title: Stokely Vale's destiny in their hands.

The weekly round up
Friday, 16 November, 2007.

Stokely Vale's destiny in their hands.

The results on the penultimate matchday did not alter the standings at the top nor bottom of the League significantly. Defending champions Stokely Vale who remain atop by a slim one point margin, are in charge of their destiny with one game remaining. If Vale wins, the title belongs to them for the second year running. However, if they don't get full points, and Charlotteville Unifiers do, then the title goes to Charlotteville for the second time in three years.

Should Unifiers fail to take full points, then the title would return to Stokley Vale. This will also open the door for St. Clair's Coaching School to take the runner-up position. They would be required to earn full points from their two remaining fixtures. Castara Goal City has an outside chance to climb into the runner-up position. It would depend on slip-ups by both Charlotteville Unifiers and St. Clair's Coaching School, and Goal City being able to take maximum points from their remaining matches.

As the anticipation builds, this final weekend promises to test the nerves and credentials of the "big four", with so much at stake.

In other football news, a Tobago representative team will play host to the Guyana National team in a friendly encounter. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, 21 November, 2007, at the Dwight Yorke Stadium. The Tobago team should be announced soon, and would get together on Monday and Tuesday to prepare for a stern examination by the Guyanese.

Matchday # 12

*  Charlotteville Unifiers scored a slender 1-0 win over Earlbrokes with Siyani Thomas scoring the winner.
*  A Steven Walters screamer was all Roxborough Lakers would need to defeat the lowly Mt. Grace United for  their sixth consecutive League win.
*  Stokely Vale rallied behind goals from Michael Carrington, Curtis Job and Adrian Morrison to propel them to a 3-1 victory over Pepsi Hills United. Nigel Alexander gave Hills United the early lead, and Carrington provided the leveller before the half ended. Job scored the winner and Morrison notch the insurance in the second half to seal Hills United fate.
*  St. Clair's Coaching School demolished Mason Hall P.Y.C. 4-0. Keon Price scored a brace, while Vernon Wilson and Junior Noel added one apiece.
