Ok, true it is on the Sundeland forum site, but it doesn't look good. They usually have fans who go to watch the team in training, so they get to see stuff and report on it on the site long before official news releases come out.

Will Keane be reluctant to release him for TT WC games?
-
:frustrated: :frustrated: :frustrated:

He may be reluctant, but FIFA Rule say he have to go if he was called and want to go. If I am not mistaken.

Will Keane be reluctant to release him for TT WC games?
If he can't play for Sunderland how would he be fit enough to play for T&T?releasing him will not make a difference/get him better, the thing will be would T&T be calling players like that and leaving fit, strong, young players by the wayside, would they base their selections on sympathy or ability or availability or experience/inexperience or loyalty or any combination of these.
I might be wrong but i don't think Keane can stop him if he is in shape and gets called.

no that is correct coops, FIFA trumps keane. ....so who knows, Sun might keep him listed as 'injured' to prevent him playing in the TnT matches to allow him a chance to rest and recuperate fully.
-
Anybody know the extent of the injury and actually what the injury is?

Sunderland boss Roy Keane has decided not to risk Carlos Edwards in today's reserves run-out but he has handed a chance to another former Manchester United team-mate.
Quinton Fortune has the chance to force his way into Keane's plans in a game against Bradford City today after several weeks on trial, and the Sunderland manager has played him in his less favoured position in midfield to put him to the test.

Trinidad and Tobago international Edwards was expected to return from his broken leg at the Academy of Light this lunchtime, but Keane has decided not to play him on a heavy pitch.
New addition Phil Bardsley also misses the clash, although he will be in full training today, but 19-year-old Jean-Yves M'voto M'voto, a recent signing from Paris St Germain, has also lined up against the League Two outfit's second string.
