Boulahrouz leaves squad after family tragedy
Defender Khalid Boulahrouz has left the Holland camp following the death of his prematurely-born baby daughter.
The 26-year-old left training on yesterday to travel to the hospital to be with his wife, who was admitted after suffering complications with the pregnancy.
It is not known whether Boulahrouz - who spent last season on loan at Sevilla - will take part in any more games in Austria and Switzerland, and the Oranje have cancelled a press conference which had been scheduled for this afternoon.
Coach Marco van Basten said that Boulahrouz would remain a part of the squad for the rest of the finals.
Jumbie's comment - Handle your business boss, you're family need you in times like this - be strong. The rest of your family will take care of business on the field.

Boulahrouz ready for Russia game
Khalid Boulahrouz is available for the Netherlands' Euro 2008 quarter-final against Russia after the death of his prematurely-born baby daughter Anissa.
The defender, who played in all three of his side's Group C victories, left the Dutch camp on Wednesday after his wife, Sabia, was hospitalised.
Boulahrouz returned to training on Thursday and should start in Basel.
"He told me, 'I am a football player and I am available on Saturday'," said Netherlands coach Marco van Basten.
"Khalid indicated early on Thursday that he had given the events a special place. He thanked the players and staff and wants to move on.
"Khalid is experiencing a dreadful time but he reacted like an adult and wanted the squad to focus on the quarter-final with Russia."
After enduring a disappointing season on loan from Chelsea at Sevilla, Boulahrouz was a surprise inclusion in Marco van Basten's final squad for the tournament.
But he has excelled in Austria and Switzerland, helping shore up a defence that has conceded only one goal to date.
"Players and staff of the Dutch team are upset by the death of Anissa, the daughter of Khalid Boulahrouz and his wife Sabia, who was born prematurely," the Dutch Football Federation said in a statement.
Sabia was at the finals with the other players' partners and girlfriends.
Dutch captain and goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, one of several players to visit the hospital, added: "His family is not here, so we felt we should be there for him.
"Khalid is a very strong person and has reacted really well."

Correct. As long as you don't concede early their defense will keep you in the game. Even if you concede they still have a tendency to leave the door a crack open. Too much firepower on the Oranje sideline and should they continue to enjoy the quality in midfield that they have thus far...well, just cue the fat lady.

Oh is de same team alright.
But yuh have to check de 2 teams involved.
Oranje playin a fast counter attackin game. In de first 2 games, especially de game against France, de result could have been vastly different had the opposition taken their chances.
Russia too plays a fast counter attacking game. They just play it better dan de Dutch. De Russians are also man for man athletically superior to their counterparts on the Dutch team. Which is why the players I mentioned that didn't get picked (barring Seedorf..he was missed for other reasons) in the Russia vs Holland thread were so seriously missed.
In essence, De Dutch got beaten at their own game....BADLY too. It wasn't even close.

sad to hear bout de baby, but glad holland lorse today.
-
Look the list the man call out oui!
No Seedorf
No Babel
No Royston Drenthe
No Romeo Castelen
No Andwele Slory
No David Mendes Da Silva
I've been a fan for over 20 yrs now and this seems to be the biggest problem with the dutch.
