Title: Favorite Laker Pt Guard of all time
Post by: 100% Barataria on May 20, 2009, 03:24:13 PM
This is for the Laker fans primarily as I can't imagine a laker hater having a favorite laker pt guard, but if you do/did pls comment.  Most would say Magic I imagine, for me it was as well, but immediately after Magic it was Van Exel, loved this youth game, imagine LA suffered w/talent like Van Exel, Eddie Jones, Elden Campbell and others, well we know why.  Fisher has the rings to prove it, but he comes in after Nick for me and not b/c we share the same 1st name  ;D

Not a Laker fan, but they are one of the 5 or 6 teams I have some mild affection for.

Nick the Quick was really a showman.  I remember his performance in the last Laker-Celtics game ever in the old Boston Garden.

Irvin "Magic" Johnson for ever and ever and ever, was named to NBA all time startin 5 case closed.

We {Lakers} were rebuilding during the Van Exel period and remember this, the laker franchise rebuilds very quickly unlike most teams in the NBA and to add for your info. the club {lakers} is rated among the best in the league's history.

Around this time of year playoff basketball is something residents are use to in Los Angeles, entertainment in and around the city, bars, private homes, restaurants, etc,etc in other words basketball is life in L.A.
