Ehy...talking bout the seats and the blue colour.
When they did this yrs ago I used to say the same thing.
But I talk to a man who was part of that renovation...the logic behind it is...
You make the assumption that the stadium will be filled.
The home crowd (supposed) to wear red, in some instances white. Therefore you use a contrasting colour to help those looking for seats identify them easily. It is to see at a glance empty spots and for officials, fire officers etc to move the crowd into empty spaces with little effort.
When yuh think about it...makes sense. White seats would have shown the effects of wear and tear readily, black would have absorbed heat, yellow etc were not visually appealing. Blue was the neutral colour chosen.
All were aggrieved about the red seats until this explaination was given.

I feel we need speed to beat these guys, speed on the wings and fast ball movement, basically how we started against them in the first game.
I know we cud use Tinto on the right but what bout Colin Samuel on the other side (I eh know who we have to play left wing who cud win a track meet). Jamaica ran them ragged in the second half of their game.
Hope the strikers bring their shooting boots this game too. If we score in the first 10-15 mins this game cud be a blow out. If not, it cud be tight.
I say we start with speedy wingers play Carlos as a overlapping wing-back at least in the first half. Tire out dey rass, and then poison dem with Cornell in bout the 60th min so. Dey eh go have time to roll round on the ground if we runnin pass dem.

THE club has received a request from the Trinidad & Tobago Football Federation for the services of Silvio Spann for their upcoming World Cup qualifier against El Salvador on Wednesday, 12 August.
This means he will be setting off the previous Sunday for the game in Trinidad, following our Blue Square Premier opener against Eastbourne Borough.
Also tomorrow, the FAW are set to announce their U21 squad for the UEFA qualifier against Hungary, which will be staged at the Racecourse on 12 August.
Obviously these games clash with our BSP visit to Tamworth (11 Aug), which might be the subject of a request to postpone the fixture, should we have three players called-up for international duty and the manager feels it necessary to do so.

Why do you guys continue to state when subs should come on? Then why have 7 men on the bench? That sounds so uneducated about the sport it's not even funny. Subs are used in games situations my friends not on how yuh feel before the game. A coach might think about bringing on a player at certain times prior to the game based on specific situations but it almost never works that way due to different scenarios in the games. It looks really amateurist to suggest subs....steups....

Silvio Spann has been a better player than Daryl Roberts all through the years at all levels. I doh mind the inclusion of Roberts in the squad and yes he being treated unfairly by not getting a small invite in the off-season. But doh bring down Spann to prove your point because Roberts has not done anything either to be considered a regular for the national team.
Spann played very well in our last 2 games running his heart out in midfield alongside 30+ men in Trent Noel and Dwight Yorke. He was the only one required to run box to box while Tinto was left with a more attacking role while Trent was required to do the tackling and Dwight was supposed to play the Pirlo role and conserve his energy to convert defence to attack and keep the side organised. Spann did well and brought the additional threat of excellent set pieces.

First they went and organize WC Qualification games on FIFA Friendly dates. Which means clubs do not have to release players until 72 hours before the game. Then if that was not bad enough, they now schedule WC Qualification games on none FIFA dates. So clubs (according to FIFA law) are not obliged to release players at all.

Indecisiveness can be defined to satisfy any need. Maybe it’s a pleasant task to have so many superstars from which to choose, of maybe the ideal quality team seems difficult to recognize just yet. We shall all have to await the final choice of players before trying to anticipate any expectation. I hope that its not too long in coming. My mind keeps coming back to one Ian Cox, who was enthusiastically brought from England to wear this country’s national team shirt. After a match or two, he decided that he is no longer interested. When our team made it to Germany, he regained his enthusiasm and was actually brought back to the squad by Leo Beenhaker.
My recollection is that one English/Trini may have played portion of a friendly in the lead up to the tournament, nothing else. At the end of it, the giant English resident may have enjoyed the Government’s monetary gift of one million dollars and probably a national award for spending his valuable time in this country. He has never been heard of again, and who knows, he may be starring in the English over forty indoor tournament played in the midlands. Let us hope that Bobby Zamora and Floyd Samuels will at least demonstrate their passion and talent when they put on T&T’s national shirt.

After watching Glen play yesterday ah must say the man deserves ah chance on that field on Wednesday...he's scored in almost all the warm up games he's played for us but....he didn't score but not for lack of shots on target and running at men...good saves by the keeper kept him off the score sheet...but he looking like he getting back to form and fitness....What's this I read that Samuel didn't get he passport so he may not be able to play ???...Is that fuh real ???

Swansea midfield is not as good as a T&T midfield in my opinion...
Yea Stern does not do that much hustling but at least he is willing to die for the shirt by comign her 100% focused and ready to give his all... and he scores for us too... After watching Glen play yesterday ah must say the man deserves ah chance on that field on Wednesday...he's scored in almost all the warm up games he's played for us but....he didn't score but not for lack of shots on target and running at men...good saves by the keeper kept him off the score sheet...but he looking like he getting back to form and fitness....What's this I read that Samuel didn't get he passport so he may not be able to play ???...Is that fuh real ???

In the past we remember the administrative error that took place with Colin Samel's call up being sent to Glenroy Samuel. Now that the U20's are so closely associated with the team (as we are clearly looking towards 2014, we cannot have a situation where there are more than two players with the same name on the team.
This is all part of the TTFF effort to smooth out communication between staff and players.
Forthwith, with the arrival of JLloyd Samuel on the NT setup, and Glenroy Samuel being a promising prospect for 2014, Colin Samuel will have to take a back seat.
In a similar manner, with the country's all time goalscorer being Stern John, and Elton John being a promising prospect, the odd man out is Avery John.
Please be advised that we also have our quotas of Edwards, Daniels, Williams and Thomas.
Any players not already in the national team setup sporting these surnames are advised to apply for membership from 2015 onwards.

Is only central defense that slow really (as with most teams). Edwards' on both wings have very good speed and if he (Latas) play a side like I anticipate Yorke will be pegged to help on Carlos side and Noel will help on Aklie side. I don't think defense will be the main issue, I think is focus/ concentration for 90 minutes. If everyone focus on they mission and latas sub Yorke when he bun we go be aiight. Dan if Latas put Skilla on the left then yes Aklie done for, however if he use the lineup he used against CR with Noel playing an LCM type role, then Aklie will be safe. Allyuh eh realize in the games where Aklie looked the worst is where Skilla left him for dead? Apart from that in the last 3 that Skilla started he was very timid going forward and Maturana at the time was pushing Aklie up further to try and nudge Skilla higher into the offensive part of the field. Aklie is a LM by trade fella, so he not all there as a defender but he have many good attributes and he has a good amount of speed. Watch him when he is in position and see what happens. In the same game against US that he get lambaste for he settled in the second half and shut down 3 out of 4 attempts that were made on his side. Plenty people eh go notice that because he is dey whippin boy. Lawrence sell we in da game, Wolfe sell we in da game (but he not a defender so he gets a bligh), Aklie sell one and is like he get blame for all. And let me remind you again HE IS NOT A DEFENDER!!!! So why allyuh constantly itchin to cry dong de man when he was not given the necessary help in his zone. Watch the US game again and see how many times he was in his zone but being sucked inside and Skilla was nowhere to be seen. Once he got sucked in, here comes Hejduk with free reign to cross, wey f**kin Skilla?!!! I eh sayin he improve in any way defensively (although he might have, I not in the practices to know) but I have confidence Latas will not place him in that same situation again and instead he will have midfield help which will allow him opportunities to go into the offense and make a few crosses because he can do that very well.

Now I work for a company called Clear Channel and I'm responsible for ensuring all their motorised ad panels in the London area are going up and down
I'm here on holiday for the next three weeks. I flew down on Sunday, same flight as the players, but they were up front in business and I was in the rear with the cattle so I didn't really get a chance to speak to any them
I read the ad about collecting tickets from HC/ML before 1pm but I'm still organising friends and family. Some of them are going to have to try and get an hour or two off work, so the upshot is I don't know exactly how many tickets I'm going to need until maybe 5.00 pm, so that's why I'm hoping we can just turn up and pay cash at the gate

midfield gone after the subs...we need a POSSESSION/DISTRIBUTION midfielder (if you get my drift). Too much ah one touch which causing us to lose the ball. We needed to CONTROL the game since we playing on we OWN ground, and leading so early. Lots of work to do, but good game btw....can't be mad over a frigging win!!!!

For the rest of the Hex, we will have them guys for less than 5 days for preparation. All them teams in the same predicament. We had over 3 weeks to prepare for this game and look at that performance. The EPL start last week, how much time them men will get off to come and play the rest of games. 3 to 4 days max.

boy o boy. 3 points are 3 points. However, those are by far the worse 2 teams in the Hex and it showed. However, I must focus on the 2 players with Premiership experience - Carlos Edwards and Jones. Carlos Edwards is simply atrocious as a winger. The amount of poor corners, shots spooned in the crowd, crosses the keeper just wrap up. He simply cannot bring in a proper cross. Absolutely no end product. I have been watching him for years - he may be better off as wing back. Jones also has regressed terribly. He simply has no striker instincts. That 1 on 1 would have sealed the game. Glen should be a starter on this team as he is the only one that can cause trouble on his own. Jones is also of limited usefulness because there is no flank play (see Carlos) that can make use of his prowess in the air. Points but poor display

Men saying the defence porous. Actually this game the defence (defenders) were organized, for the most part played as though they knew where each other was, played higher up the field and most time had a nice straight line in the back going on, no one man keeping men onside and stupidness.
What was porous is the midfield.....which IMO, has always been the problem with our team.

Was looking for a glass bottle to pelt the mudda c**ts who was screaming at people to sit down whenever TT was attacking. nah, if you want to score with your feet - actually, if you want to score period - you have to be in a good position, and most times KJ was woefully out of position.
