Whitley nets Petrotrin double, Tobago holds Jabloteh

Discarded Trinidad and Tobago World Cup midfielder Aurtis Whitley registered a second half double to guide United Petrotrin 3-0 over bottom of the table Police FC.
Whitley netted goals in the 56th and 64th minutes following a goalless first half against the Lawmen at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium on Saturday.
Kennedy Hinkson made it 3-0 in the 88th minutes giving the Oilmen maximum points in their Round Two Match Day Six encounter.
United Petrotrin remained seventh on the standings but are now with 20 points, three points behind sixth positioned Defence Force—who were on a bye—as the fight for Big Six spots get tighter.
And at a more central venue, San Juan Jabloteh were limited to a 1-1 score against ninth positioned Tobago United at the Ato Boldon Stadium.
Hector Sam’s 34th minute strike gave Jabloteh a 1-0 advantage which was held for 44 minutes, that’s when Kayode Mc Kinnon levelled the scores 1-1.
Jabloteh (now 28 points) moved up one spot on the standings via their one point, switching positions with Ma Pau SC(27 points) for third.
Joe Public(28 points) remain at the top despite not playing their scheduled match against tenth positioned FC SouthEnd on Saturday due to a no-show by the match referee.
Caledonia AIA of Morvant Laventille who suffered a 4-2 defeat on Friday against Ma Pau SC remains second with 28 points, behind Joe Public and ahead of San Juan Jabloteh by way of goals difference.
W Connection are fifth on the standings with 26 points following Friday’s 3-0 victory against eight positioned St Ann’s Rangers.
The rest of the standings are as follows; Defence Force sixth with 23 points, United Petrotrin seventh with 20 points, St Ann’s Rangers eight with 14 points, Tobago United gradually climbing with 11 points in ninth, FC SouthEnd with 10 points in tenth and Police FC struggling the worst with only 9 points in eleventh.

With all the sh!t hounds latas pickin tuh fill the midfield position, even an unfit whitley better than them!! clyde leon, who cyar string two passes together! could he come close tuh whitley in aught?? spann ? does he even belong in the same sentence with whitley? LOUD fackin stttuuueeeppppsssssssss.
latas want ah fackin bullpistle on his back tuh wake up and realize he doing real shyte just like the columbian.
right now it have ah bunch ah blasted labourers on the team making we look poor poor! when we have good skilled player who could make ah positive differance.
WHITLEY , ROBERTS , JAMES, SANCHO, AVERY, JAGGY, SEALY, HYLAND, PELTIER, CYD, jack told the man " russell pick who yuh wants" so there's no unavailable players, but since latas came aboard he didn't even consider some of these guys or remotely mention them in his comments, only hyland got ah call up for the last two games and he didn't even feature.
i still don't get the clyde leon inclusion when hyland and whitley could play the defensive mid role better , plus that's hyland's natrual position. i'm sorry but that clyde leon guy is real shyte with ah capital S, and i just don't know what pancho and latas see in this guy!

Although I will not be as emphatic as JC, it would be nice if Whitley could have played mid-field for us. Like I have been saying all along our mid is struggling. If our mid field play was like ELsal mid field play, all yuh would be booking for SA. Mid-field is our achilles heal.
