21 Questions with Steve Sealy Jr.
T&T Express

1. What quality do you like most in women?
I truly admire sophisticated women.

2. Your happiest moment?
My happiest moment was beating cancer.

3. Your secret fear?
My secret fear is the lack of ability to become successful.

4. Which living person do you admire most?
There are two individuals, my mother (Judith Sealy) and Wayne Fredericks. My mother is by far the strongest / most caring / loving (the list goes on) person that I have ever met in my life. Mummy I love you. And Wayne Fredericks... by the grace of God and a tremendous amount of faith our paths crossed and I am forever thankful for all you’ve done for me medically but most of all for your friendship. Brothers for life.

5. What quality do you value most in your friends both male or female?
Can I say two qualities? They would be LOVE and LOYALTY. I’ve been betrayed before by someone I loved like a sibling and it’s definitely the most hurtful feeling.

6. What is your greatest extravagance?
If I had the financial capability it would be a Bugati, but at the moment I can’t say that I have a true extravagance.

7. The place you would like to visit before you die?
India and Egypt.

8. What is your favorite journey?
My battle with cancer was the most rewarding and at the same time difficult journey I have ever had to undertake. Because I was so close to dying I truly learned a lot about my inner strength and myself and I absolutely believe there is no challenge that I cannot overcome.

9. What advice will you give people wishing to enter your field?
My advice would be, surround yourself with positive individuals who believe in you. Even if it at times they have to criticise you it will always be constructive. It is not the easiest field to get involved in but with the right people surrounding and supporting you the sky is always the limit.

10. What is your current state of mind?
Focused and confident.

11. What is the trait you most deplore in others?
I deplore people that aren’t genuine.

12. What is your greatest joy?
Being able to play football again at a competitive level.

13. What is your biggest turn on in a woman?
Confidence.

14. What is your guilty pleasure?
If I want to be politically correct I would say curry chicken, but honestly anyone who truly knows me will know what my true guilty pleasure is….

15. What is your lowest depth of misery?
My lowest depth was the initial diagnosis of cancer and the fear of not being able to live a fulfilling life and achieve my dreams..

16. What is your pet peeve?
Ignorance.

17. What do you get complimented most about?
I get a lot of compliments about my smile.

18. When was the last time you cried?
I’m not telling.

19. What was the first thing you did this morning?
Prayed and thanked God for life.

20. What do you consider your most cherished virtue?
My kindheartedness.

21. If you had one personal wish (which you alone can benefit from hence world peace etc not applicable)?
To have health, strength and success follow me.

Stevie, Tiger Fitzpatrick & Brent Sancho have a fete team called VF International. Players include Darren Lewis, Mike McComie, Leonson Lewis plus many others. Think they're unbeaten in about 25 games! Play by National Stadium on sundays. Won the Tobago beach football championship. Usually lime at Frankies on Ariapita sunday eves. Have a section at sundays Pan Semi Finals. Also now have a Ladies team.
Very well organised and great to lime with!!

Ok, played against those guys last time I was in Trinidad. I was wondering if he was playing pro league now or something when he said "at a competitive level".
