We did one earlier this year but that had some dance/soca tunes in it As for pure hiphop...none yet. We (NastyJag Soundcrew) will be doing up separate parang, chutney and a soca/dancehall mixtapes soon. The hip hop one will be in the works soon.

(shout out frm artist) mi partner does go crazy putting dem facking drops onthe cd and messing it up.. we have a nice vincy mix when I get time I go send on.. we also jes did a rick ross mix..(not my style of music but dats what dey wanted to do)..

Dey had two. One is from mi son (i will drop dat anyday) and de other was from mi bredrin Big Drew, and dat was by mistake. Unless it fits u won't hear any drops (beginning, somewhere in the middle and the end). A few sound effects but not overbearing. BTW give yuh youth ah bless up dey for listening and his comments.

I think this is the most remixed song for T&T Carnival 2013.
Yours is about the 10th "Differentology" remix I have heard but it is different from all the others that I have heard.

It may help the artist concerned to get their name out to a wider music market but it does nothing to help promote actual Soca music to that market/audience.

Socapro, I agree somewhat. From what I've experienced it has allowed for some international ears to be a bit more accepting of a different version of 'soca'. It may not be as ideal as we would like but it has had some effect. This is me speaking from my experience in Vancouver, BC.

Richard, good mix and continue what you doing. I find the socalled House Music is that version of some of the soca. i have listen to some South African and Angolan House music and you would swear that the music was Trini/WI. There is a guy on Utube called Mafie Zouker, who does wonderful zouk mix to pop song. But keep on mixixng the soca you will get the right formula and you will beecome a super star.
