HOSTESS BRANDS TO WIND DOWN COMPANY AFTER BCTGM UNION STRIKE CRIPPLES OPERATIONS

Friday, November 16, 2012 at 7:00AM

Irving, TX – November 16, 2012 – Hostess Brands Inc. today announced that it is winding down operations and has filed a motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court seeking permission to close its business and sell its assets, including its iconic brands and facilities. Bakery operations have been suspended at all plants. Delivery of products will continue and Hostess Brands retail stores will remain open for several days in order to sell already-baked products.

sad to see all those people loose there jobs.. Union can be good and Union can be bad. I have been is U.S steel worker for about 16 years now and I tell you every contract is war... Hope all theese people can lift there head up and go at it again somewhere else.... its always sad to see peopl loose there Jobs ,  My company laid off 4000 ppl in the last 3 tears ,Unemployment might be nice but companies gets comfortable with a smaller staff and employees are never call back.... Just Monday we loose two employees who been with the company for over 26 years....

I looking to import some goodie from Kiss. It's practically the same as twinkie only better tasting. ;D

I agree...twinkies a bit too sweet and dry for my taste 
Are kiss cakes available in the US?...I can't recall ever seeing them in the groceries...
