Title: Damarcus Beasley
Post by: Tenorsaw on November 02, 2005, 12:03:18 AM
De man turn up Stam and have him rafing he shirt.  Stam all on he bamcy after Beasley give him ah quick drag.  Ref send off Stam for that foul.  Beasley really coming along well, and he looks especially good in the Champions League; he continuing where he left off from last year.  Adu should follow the example and go to a Dutch team, cause they real good at grooming talent, before they get snapped up by a bigger club.  Ah really think Beasley is the best winger in Concacaf.  He really coming along nicely.

no stopping speed and quickness
and his close control getting good as well

We you have speed all you have to do is a lil body shake and push and leave out your man.

Al beasley have to do now is develop a wicked cross and shot and he will rake in the goals and assist

he does remind me of Evans Wise

You probably mean dark-skinned, slim and having a big head. they might look similar now but as a youth Beasley was much more of a team player than Wise.

I remember back in March 2001 there was a youth qualifying series in the COE in Tunapuna and the US was playing (The tournament where Marvin Lee (RIP) sustained his tragic injury). At the time Beasley had been rated as the most talent player in his age-group from a previous tournament (U-16) I believe.

So I went expecting to see a young Maradona or Pele, real tricks and such, expecting to see Evans Wise basically.

His game was very different. He was clearly the best player there yet with every touch he had one intention: pass the ball and get others involved. He had ample opportunities to rip men but didn't even try. Sometimes he woould use his first touch to take him past a man but generally he was trying to orchestrate the entire team's attacking play from out on the wing, not just his own.

Anyone see the performance of two youngsters for PSV>  Ibrahim Affelay and Ismali Aisatti  I believe 19 and 17 years old. They played with real composure against some unbelievable midfielders. Truly two players to watch.

This is the same Beasley who get put in school for 90 mins vs Jabloteh 2 yrs ago.

Skill for skill, he not better than some of our players, its the system surrounding him that lends to his strengths.

He can cause havoc vs any CONCACAF team, but agasint Jabloteh, they embarass him all night.

I seriously have to disagree with yuh on that one dey my friend.  Maybe Jabloteh did their home work that day and made his life miserable on that day but I seriously doubt that they can stop him two years later.  He has matured even more since that time and I think right now is more deadly than any other us player and this statement was already made by JDB so I have somebody else who think so.

the man could mash up the rest of concacaf but not jabloteh?
jabloteh that good? beenie should select more of their players.
beasley a very good player, both ends of the field and appears to have a good head attitude.  i personally think O'brien when healthy is the best US player.

i watching beaz since he join the chicago fire. man have man skills, speed, and vision. he is probably de best from the US team right now. he made many of their goals in WCQ.

anybody remember his older brother, Jamar Beasley? he was once the youngs player to sign an MLS contract. he get tie up with liming and drink though from chilling with paul pierce and NBA players. he playing in de US indoor league now. sometimes with the USL Div. 1.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Jamar Beasley (born October 11, 1979 in Fort Wayne, Indiana) is an American soccer player who currently plays for the Kansas City Comets of the Major Indoor Soccer League. A promising young player who had at one point trained with A.C. Milan, but due to an excessive nightlife washed out of Major League Soccer, is currently enjoying a comeback in indoor soccer.

Beasley began his professional career in 1998, as a member Major League Soccer's Project-40, directly out of high school (South Side High School in Fort Wayne). At the time he was the youngest player to sign with MLS, a record since broken many times over. Appeared at the World Youth Championship in Nigeria with the U20 United States national team, but has enjoyed more success with the US Futsal Team than with the full-age Men's national team.

In Boston, however, Beasley's career to a backseat to his nightlife (and friendship with Boston Celtics Bruce Bowen and Paul Pierce); Beasley partied so heavily he would even attend Revolution practices drunk, embarking on a vicious cycle: the more he drank the less playing time he got, the less he played the less seriously he took practices and the more he drank. [1]

Jamar's brother, DaMarcus Beasley, has enjoyed much more success than his sibling, and currently plays for PSV Eindhoven of the Dutch Eredivisie.

Steamers aquire Jamar Beasley
10/25/05 - Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) St. Louis Steamers
ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Steamers Chief Executive Officer Michael Hetelson announced today that the Steamers have acquired forward Jamar Beasley and the playing rights to Mauricio Salles de Alencar from the California Cougars in exchange for forward Anthony Maher and the playing rights to Brad Davis.

Beasley, 26, played for the Kansas City Comets the previous two seasons, amassing 83 points (53 goals, 30 assists) along with 227 shots in 61 games played. He was awarded the 2003-04 Major Indoor Soccer League's Rookie of the Year, collecting 46 points (31 goals, 15 assists). California selected Beasley in the second round, seventh overall in the 2005 Cleveland Force, Kansas City Comets Dispersal Draft.

"We are getting a young, exciting player with a lot of speed," said Steamers head coach Omid Namazi. "Jamar has played at a very high level outside of the MISL and he has the ability to turn around games on his own. We are very excited to have him."

He appeared in 25 games for the Comets last season, recording 37 points (22 goals, 15 assists). He missed 14 games due to injuries and time abroad in Chinese Taipei with the U.S. National Futsal Team.

The native of Ft. Wayne, IN, began his professional career in 1998, when he signed with Major League Soccer directly out of high school. In four MLS seasons with the New England Revolution and Chicago Fire, Beasley scored seven goals and 22 points in 59 regular season games. At the time of his signing, he was the youngest player in MLS history. He also spent time in Italy with Serie "C" club Puteolana and also trained with Italian power AC Milan in 1998.

The 5'-10'', 180-pound forward recently participated in several friendly outdoor matches that have been held by several MISL clubs.

Beasley, whose younger brother DaMarcus currently stars with the U.S. National Team and PSV Eindhoven of the Dutch First Division, had a standout performance at the 2002 World Cup and was instrumental in helping the U.S. National Team qualify for the 2006 World Cup. He played four and a half seasons with the Chicago Fire of the MLS. A 1998 Parade Magazine All-American, DeMarcus was hailed as one of American soccer's future stars in the April 13, 1998 issue of Sports Illustrated.

DaMarcus Beasley is a great player...but I think that we had talent as good as him but they were not developed or they just didn't get a break to go and play somewhere else...

One game doh mean nuttin', especially since Jabloteh went and get turn up in de second leg in Chicago. Beasley is very good...and he really improving too...the man game is continually developing and that is the mark of his potential greatness....unlike Donovan who looks to have stagnated. But they both young and go be pepper for some years...but I give Beasley de edge

Donovan stagnated because he have no ambition. He wasting time trying to be the superstar in the MLS. He need to go the europe where the competition will force him to improve. The same is true for Freddie Adu.

Beasley is a boss.

Beasley played good.
I agree with observer  Ibrahim Affelay and Ismali Aisatti did very well too.
They were even on Ramadan playing with an empty stomach!!
But the winner is Guus Hiddink for only using 3 defenders and giving Ismali that role.
Look what is happening with Australia the man is a hell of a coach, PSV also has the best scout in the world  thats why Chelsea likes to work with PSV ( they're paying part of Alex(defender) salary)
The scouts name is Piet de Visser and there was some fuss going on since press also had spot him on  Roman's boat. It is truely amazing the players he has brought to PSV and will soon to Chelsea.
Especially from Brazil.
