TEAM NEW GENERATION PRESS RELEASE

TEAM NEW GENERATION HOPE TO BRING RENEWED ENERGY, IDEAS TO TFA
The highly anticipated Tobago Football Association elections will take place on Wednesday 27th May. While it remains the island’s most popular sport, many have voiced their displeasure with the current state of football affairs. One person who is hoping to change this is Mr. Arlon James, who has decided to put himself up for President of the TFA. “Tobago’s football product is at a crossroads,” Mr. Arlon James stated. “We need to figure out how to bring the association, the on-field football product, sponsors, fans and general interest back to football in Tobago.”Mr. James is the head of a slate of candidates who call themselves ‘Team New Generation’.
Mr. Richard Goddard, on the slate as the 1st Vice President contender, supported Mr. James’ sentiments about the current state of football on the island. “There’s a serious gap as it pertains to youth development. We need to catch up, invest, re-invest, learn and teach the game. We need to love watching our children grow up on the field and in front of our eyes. We need to realise us adults have a major role to play per the growth of our children, villages and society though football.”
The other members of the slate who are contesting the elections are Mr. Davide Sonnylal (2nd Vice President), Ms. Nickema Williams (Secretary of Administration) and Mr. Jeremy Roberts (Secretary of Operations).
