Soca Star Kees Dieffenthaller was robbed while on Ariapita Avenue on Friday night.
 
Looptt understands the Kes the Band front man and a friend were walking a female companion to her car after performing at Aria last night when they were accosted by two men.
 
The men, wearing ski masks and brandishing guns, robbed the trio of cash and cellphones before making their escape.
 
The three reported the incident to the police.

The hat helped them to identify Kes so why would they want to take his hat?
The hat will come in useful to id Kes again in the future if they don't get caught by the police and want to try the same criminal stunt on Kes and his friends again.

The reason why criminals are so bold in T&T is that they believed that they won't be caught and punished severely for their evil deeds. The PPG Ministers are not setting a good example to the general public either and yet expect the public to ignore reality and vote them back into power come the next general elections.
