But isn't that the norm in the entertainment industry? Use what is hot to stay on top.

On that basis...
Justin Bieber is using Soca, his song "Sorry" took him to the top...

Yes!!! Justin Bieber is using Soca, his song "Sorry" makes him STAY on the top... The goal is to be on top all the time, or as much as possible. That is all the record companies care about.

Norm to mix music but generally people give credit. Vegas is right in that the way Drake has gone about it does not benefit dancehall at all. When you have the stature in the industry that Drake has putting "feat....." actually creates interest and curiosity about the artists featured and the genre that they belong to as well. So Kyla and Wyz Kid will gain added fans along the way because of their names being attached to one dance. Popcaan and Beenie Man won't net anything and dancehall sees no benefit. Can't give Vegas wrong for sticking up for dancehall.

Vegas is ignorant..
Drake is using a rudimentary calypso beat that goes back to my father generation..
These men from yard does bawl dancehall for everything ...
