Beckham Wants Henry In Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham says he would love Thierry Henry to join the Bernabeu outfit.
The Frenchman has just 18 months left on his Arsenal contract and has been linked with a move to Barcelona.
"It would be amazing if Thierry Henry joined Madrid - he is one of the best strikers in the world," said Beckham.
"Maybe he will stay at Arsenal and maybe he won’t.
"But just imagine what would happen if he went to Barcelona with Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto’o."

I would love to see all a dem play bredder. But it ain't happening. Unless Xavi is Makalele, then Barca will get licks with this team. Behind them is four defenders and no defensive midfielder. It go be the second coming of the present Real Madrid. Even Pareira say one of the "magical quintet" have to sit dong for Brazil. In today's football, it too risky to play without SOLID DEFENSIVE anchor men.

Yeah dat is true. However, Robinho is extremely talented, but has not yet shown de world, what he can do at that level. In my opinion, Henry has done so already.

Barca has a very good attack not only because of their individual brilliance, but because of the chemistry that the attacking players have with eachother coming forward.....
In my opinion adding another big fish to the pond, could have adverse effects on overall team chemistry.
If Henry were to go to Barca, it would be interesting to see if Rijkaard could put him in there in a way so as not to break up that chemistry that they have going forward...

It would be interesting to see if Rijkaard would change his philosophy a bit if Henry comes in by playing E'too and Henry together up front. Personally, I don't think he will. My feeling is that Henry will play the left where Ronaldinho plays now, and Ronaldinho will move to a central position ala his position for Brazil, leaving Deco, Guily and Messi to fight for pick. If he plays all of them, then he have more belly than I thought, because this leaves only Xavi to hold de fort. Remember, after that it only have four outfield players left- either 1 more defensive midfielder (Van Bommel) and 3 defenders, or 4 straight defenders.

Henri is not a "rotation" player...........he is a mainstay, such as Ronnie, Eto, Deco for eg.

Even Ronaldinho gets rested sometimes man
you forget the weekend when he was rested and Barca still blaze a side. Can't remember the game, he came back in midweek and real get on in the CL a few weeks ago.
The schedules are crowded enough to rotate everyone and keep them happy man.
And I don't think Henry would upset the chemistry. He isn't a man who necessarily needs the ball at his feet all the time to be effective a la Figo, Zidane, Beckham, Robinho. Although he has dribbling skills he isn't dependent on it to make an impact.
He could just be a deadly poacher around the goal like Eto, firing bullet once he gets the ball.
Robinho can't do that,neither can Figo, which is why Real has run into trouble recently.
Real just tries to force ppl on the field regardless of position. In Barca there would be a place alongside Eto for Henri, when necessary, and when it isn't he could be rotated.
Remember how successful Owen was at Real scoring in limited time?
Henry could play that kind of role, Robinho can't
