It is clear to see that Carlos abscence is down to Roy Keene and nothing more,Keene had already stated his intentions long before the English season started.Trinidad is now at the mercy of the English managers to which our footballers are attached to.Lets hope that the home based boys that have been playing for us over the last year does the business for us.Keene even made sure that Yorke did not make
himself available with a fractured cheekbone.I have seen several players play with similar injury;the next week,Yorke had this so called injury about 5 or six weeks ago,Keene also made sure that Jones were not going to play in these matches by delaying Jones exploratary operation for about six weeks.Had that operation been done a couple days after the damage who knows how quick he would have recovered. We would continue to suffer this kind of past colonial behaviour by our past masters because these people do not care about us crossing that barrier which could make us their equal on the field of sport.I do hope the boys who are going to do battle see it this way
and play with their heart and souls.Let Keene know that we know he is a selfish ignorant Irishman and hopefully if we get into the Hex we would let FIFA deal with him.

man that is a dumb post.  :-[

why would jones's exploratory operation be delayed? how would that benefit keane or sunderland? surely they too want him back playing as soon as possible. my understanding is that they had to let the swelling go down first, and hopefully they could avoid having to operate at all because even an exploratory takes weeks to recover, i know as i've had it done myself. i'm not a doctor but i'm not an idiot either, come on, think about it.

as for edwards, he really looks to be lacking in confidence. against liverpool he was unwilling to do the things that made him the player he was just over a year ago, ie; shoot at the fist sign of an opportunity, run at defenders and get early crosses in. it's a reall shame, i hope he gets it back soon, he's a top fella and i want to see him succeed.  :'(

Oh yes and Yorkie was fabulous, battling so hard in midfield for the team, nearly scored late on too.

Yorke deserve a lot, a lot of plaudits for his workrate and industriousness ever since he take that midfield role....running all over the field, setting plays, pelting blade, doing a setta grunt work for 90 mins, and with class. Watch him good in the World Cup games too...regardless of de past yuh can't say he never gave his ALL for T&T.

Big up to Sunderland's new general

Onwards to the EPL Sunderland

Sunderland.....................WE WANT AH GOOOOOAAALLLL!!!!
or how many it takes to get a win ;)

7,000 for an away game,
is that a record Gretzky?

no mate, we had a premier league relegation battle with man city a few years ago on the last day of the season and had 15000 in manchester.

also 6 years ago in a promotion game we went to swindon trying to get back into the prem and had about 12000 there, we took over 3 sides of their ground  ;D

FA cup semi finals and finals, and play off games get the best away following though, you sell as many tickets as the club can get. you get half the ground, so at wembley it would be a following of 50000.

only manchester united have historically had better away support than sunderland, we have huge pottential to get back to where we were 50 years ago when we used to win championships, we now have the right people running the club to do it and i think that was one of the reasons carlos chose to play for us.

i though you boys were laid back and chilled.... ;D

don't worry about some bull shit in an english paper.

join us in our charge back to the big time where we belong, we've got 7000 going to the AWAY game at sheffield on saturday to see us move into a play off spot on our way to a top 2 automatic promotion possition.

"ooh, aah, we're gannin up y'knar..."  :beermug:

Yuh yaping to much SUPA..... I rather Carlos be on his way up than his way down. Who else except Watford who really wanted him. ? No one made an official bid, all was rumours and speculations.

And what if Sunderland does make it into the Premiership what will you say then ?

Its not like Man U or Arsenal wanted him and he turn them down to go to Sunderland.

No other team made an official big, none, Newcastle was not interested. He is Premiership quality, however only Sunderland stepped up...

I am happy for Carlos, I hope he can take Sunderland up......

Ah promise not tuh come back on dis thread, but when some punk like you Sam dis de order ah have tuh fire. Doh be ah f*****g ass and show it on de forum nah, we entitled 2 our opinion, just like any other individual. So what if dey make it back tuh de EPL, Luton, Birmingham and other teams cud make it 2, it is all possibilities a** hole, read we f*****g posts and dem before yuh jump in de mix, and open up yuh c*** nah. We will always support Carlos doh matter what team he go 2, but ah will also show meh disappointment of him not going tuh de EPL. You know all de teams dat made official offers fuh Carlos, ah guess yuh is ah f*****g agent. HIGHLY BLESSED.

::)  :rotfl: you really don't know much about the history of the club he's just signed for do you?

no offence intended mate.
