You are doing wonders with this site Tallman. Although I do not sign on I'm here everyday and I really appreciate the comments and all else. I just want to offer a little observation. Do you think that the info   on these foreign players be placed on a more dedication area? In that way we may be able to track the progress of individual players along the course of a season and also how their teams are doing. In fact the caption can be the same as you have "Trinis in Action". That does not mean that we will not be able to make comments, but just tha tit will not be connected as it now is. Like I said it's just an obsevation and suggestion. Nothing is cast in stone.
Continue to big up yourselves at "Socawarriors.net" and wherever others are over the world. As for me I'm foreign and longing to come home at least for some sunshine.

This is truly a great assessment of Yorke. I think it is the best I've read about him in a very long while. He has proven, by his responses, to be intelligent both on and off the field. T&T should be very proud to have him as an "ambassador" of sorts. If only the young and upcoming can take this page out of his long list they are in for great things. We love you Yorkeee. I look forward to seeing you kick some butt in the upcoming season. I trust that at the end of it all we WILL see you lift that trophy once more. It really ain't no 'fairytale'. It is for real.

Go on to greatness brother it is yours to take hold of.

In Latas written script after the game against England he said he thought he could have made a contribution. I guess he knew what could have happened once he was on the field, tired legs or not. I have no hangups with Beenie man but I thought it was an insult to have chosen to bring him on for just 20 minutes or so. An insult to bot hLatas and teh country. No doubt he dreamt of this as anyone else and as T&T's most celebrated player, and his vast knowledge and insight into the game of soccer, he knew what he had to do. The instant difference he made to the game is more than ample proof that the result in this and any other match may have been different. I am however still very proud of the guys. They did better than expected by many.

That's a very interesting article. There are some positives on our behalf that speak tonloads on the weay the world is now seeing us. The "mighty" Americans who for ages have looked on us with pride and arrogance are now looking at us as an example to gain that "Trinidad & Tobago-style love and admiration". They have finally realized that they are in need of something vital for world acceptance. I do not think that they will ever look on us again as being easy. This goes to show how much more than we can see that the Soca Warriors have progressed. The word that comes to mind is "enchanting:" Do not worry about that 'island music' crap. They are looking for comparisons which are just not there. As the writer suggested, or rather questioned and I say a loud yes to the yare "Chopped Liver".
Do not let those things un-nerve you to make you swear. They have been belittled by the intensity and unity of a nation at the height of not just success but on the brink of greta things.
Stay cool peeps. Stay cool and watch how they have crumbled. We will now beat the crap out of them on the field of play. Is true Trini style soca soccer with "island music" t ospur us on.

Most definitely NO! He is not a liability. In light of the formation employed against very creditable opponents it is virtually impossible to expect him do much. He is totally crowded out most times. If on the other hand Glen had scored from the very magnificient header from John I wonder what would have been said. It is my gut feeling that with some company up front we will see an explosive Stern John. I would think that if...IF... Latas is played it could give more depth into any defence break down of opposing teams. Well it's only Paraguay remaining so it is time to throw everything at them. Stern can do it. I'm sure.

Let me put it this way. I work in an office of only white Canadian folks 2 of whom have a  knowledge of the game. But because of the fever I helped to create they are all backing T&T to do great things. That's in my corner. I can only imagine what has happened worldwide. As for actual state of T&T soccer, it has grown by strides which the years ahead will reveal. Respect, admiration, insight into the passion and heart of players who have the will and determination to get results, are just some things that come to mind. Most of all I hope it has to some extent done some for the nation at home as we struggle to build a society of like passion and strength. The world is going to be visiting us now. The world is going to be interested in scouting for our players on regular basis.
Beaten but certaily by no means disgraced. But wait...PARAGUAY WATCH OUT. The Warriors are not yet done. You will feel the wrath of it all. "de vengeance of moko is about to fall".

These guys played with hearts about two [2] feet wide. What a galant perfromence!!! ANd to have done that with ten men was even the more appreciative. It seemd that the game's intensity grew beyond the expected when John was sent off. That intensity was in the warriors favor however. They just played to the next level.
What a game! I can just imagine how it was at home.  I saw it at the "8-Rinks" in Vancouver B.C. and the fever, the atmosphere of expectation of a result in our favor and not to mention the constant rhythm banging on iron and pulsating drums was just an awesome experience.
Thanks warriors. I look forward to England.

real good one dey Palos! real good. listen i see the man play ball in he hey day...he was just bad dread. i eh dat old is that ah following ball since ah real small. and doh mind the north/south ting. those were the big days of football in T&T. whether it was college or big league it brought out the best. it was real competition especially since them northern guys thought dey was d best ting.  Nice one dey Palos.

I think it is very biased statement to seemingly accuse the ref of bad judgements because he is from Aus. The "Warriors" admittedly did not play to standard. Whart was expected from them did not come to life. I firmly believe that even the players themselves wil ladmit to that. They should have capitalsed on the time wasting of the "Bah" team by doing their on speedy attacks. The yhave more than the ability to do that. The skill of tghe individual players when combined as a team as we saw against Mexico can break any barrier down. They did not do anything of teh sort. They just did not try. It was not only Latas who did not show. The defence was there but thinking about the beach it seems.

About the game itself I thought that the long ball did not do it for them. This was clear from the very beginning of the game. Anytime the one touch was implemented the penetration began. Listen we saw that they actually crowded John and Latas and Yorke. Three, sometimes four men at a time. That leaves two of our team free. Bah played a very poor and distressing game. No life whatsoever. NONE. No emotion. NO skill. Nothing. They do not deserve to be in the world cup at all. Not now. Not ever. The Warriors have to show up and play. A game is 90 minutes. 90 Minutes. NO extra time on Wednesday. 90 minutes.

Nuff said.. GO WARRIORS!!!
