I agree with u ivansie, Panama's coach is on the ball. Lets hope Beenie can anticipate his tactics and out manouver him.

I say T&T 2-1 Pan or T&T 2-0 Pan if we keep our focus and intensity right down to the very last second of the game on Saturday!

Go Warriors Go!!

Highlights of the game were show on TV6 so there were definitely cameras at the game. So our players can definitely review themselves in action to see their shortcomings and where they need to improve. The TTFF or Beenie could go to TV6 to obtain recording or at least highlights of the game if they were slack enough not to record the game for themselves!

Ah gorn

You said "Overall, good defensive performance. Need someone to generate attack from the midfield though.

Any sugestions ??"

I suggest Latapy!

He  should take a leaf out of Yorke's book (can't believe I am saying this!) and come back to strenghten T&T's midfield options.

Come on Latas, please don't wait until it is too late, show some patriotism! Yorke has show that he can put past grievences to one side in the sake of helping to maximise T&T chances of reaching Germany and so can you!!  :-\

I've just read that the T&T football team's name has now been changed from 'Soca Warriors' to 'The Warriors'! Is this true is this official? I read this on the PoisonUK website, check link below! Also read that T&T team will be lauching their own website, not sure why they don't link up with this website that is already established and being visited regularly by many?!

What you folks think bout that? Check link below. Flex any comments?

Here's another scenario I am willing to challenge any woman too!

We have sex.
We have a 100m race.
If I win we have sex again.
If I lose the above theroy has been proven correct!

I am willing to bet that no matter how many times we have sex that I will beat the woman in the 100m dash even if she is a professional athete!

So come on Women bring it on!!  ;D

Maybe we should have two main boards one for general topics including football and anything  else and another for strictly football topics where non-football topics will be moved to the general board and other boards as appropriate to the topic!

I believe Gally is considering lending a hand! I found this article below:-

 Let's rescue our beloved football
« on: Today at 03:45:53 AM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On March 21 I attended my first Sportsman and Sportswoman Awards ceremony hosted by the new organisers, First Citizens Bank. The evening was a gala one which I enjoyed, sitting in comfort at Queen's Hall, in the company of my wife.

The event caused me to wonder about football's chances of winning this award for a second time because it has been more than 30 years since I copped the title of Sportsman of the Year 1974 after my nomination as most valuable player in the Concacaf World Cup qualifying tournament in Haiti in which Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras competed. Trinidad and Tobago was also denied the opportunity of going to the World Cup finals in Germany then.

When I saw there were no nominees for football, I became even more concerned and couldn't help but ask Dave Lamy, a member of the FCB Sports Foundation panel, "Why weren't there any nominees for football, male and female?'' He answered, "Gally, there hasn't been any for the last two years.''

His answer made me realise the extent of the fragmentation of Trinidad and Tobago's football. I sat there wondering what magic can I pull out of my bag of tricks to bring this game back to where we were in 1989, so at least we can have a serious competitor for the beautiful new award displayed that night.

I couldn't believe, though, that during addresses delivered by Terry Young Sing, chairman of the FCB Sports Foundation and Roger Boynes, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, not a word or a good wish was mentioned in terms of the Trinidad and Tobago World Cup football team even though we are currently in contention for a place in the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.

Thanks to Lystra Lewis's contribution to sports the FCB Sports Foundation panel decided to honour her by donating the Lystra Lewis Award for sportsmanship and luckily football won that night for the empathy displayed by young Matthew Ramirez of St Augustine Senior Comprehensive to his defeated opponent in an Intercol final.

The time is now for those people who say they really like this game and care about the future of football to come together and rescue this beautiful game so we could produce the high quality of players we had in days gone by. In the interim there could be a system where all the leagues nominate their player of the year and an independent panel could select a nominee for player of the year to the FCB Foundation. Football is the most popular sport in T&T and should have a nominee every year in this prestigious event.

I wish to congratulate Candice Scott and George Bovell III for their magnificent achievements, and the FCB Sports Foundation for maintaining the high standard of this award ceremony. Let us hope next year football's chances will be better.

Everald "Gally'' Cummings

Former national coach

I say we should welcome Gally back even if we win against CR to day by some miracle and Lord knows I am parying like 10 pundit! :-[

Football / I see that BSC is saying "NOTHING BUT A VICTORY TODAY"
« on: March 30, 2005, 11:55:13 AM »
This leads me to believe that he did not read the post I made yesterday.

If we try to trash CR by playing all out attack we will most likely lose this game by another large margin as we did in Guatemala.

BSC has to realise that we are the least prepared team in Hex and non pf our strikers are in form at present. We should be playing ALL our games not to conecede for the full 90 minutes!! We need to man mark and shake up Wanchope and the other CR strikers as well! But the trick is if we doh concede we cyah lose!! We can frustrate these teams who expect a sure 3 points aginst T&T. With some patients we can steal a goal or two on the counter and kill the game thereafter.

If BSC goes for a big win against a faster and better prepared team like CR they will kill us in our own back yard.

Lord put ah hand as ah know you can do miracles. Please let BSC's call for a big win be but a stratergy to trick our opponents and we will in fact be playing a tight and defensive game with the main aim of not to concede any goals!! Agin the logic goes If we don't concede we cyah lorse!

I hope BSC is on the same page as I am!!

This I pray, Amen!

Tomorrow we are at home and we need to play NOT to lose!!!

I have total faith in your strategy, so far yuh making dem other teams believe that all games against T&T is ah sureity 3 points. Boy Bertille yuh really fooling them fellas so far but you I and these drugs I just took know otherwise!! Anyway Berille my partner, I am hoping I would not need to take any more of these mind bending drugs after the game tomorrow.
So please Bertille, give we a draw at least nah partner cause we are at home and have home advantage and a decent showing will possibly save this monkey's from irrevisible depression or total insanity!

As ah said ah have total faith in you, we have them all fellas fooled so far, but dey dohknow what will hit dem as our master plan unfolds.

After tomorrow the world will know what BSC stands for "Best Soccer Coach" rather than
"Bull Shit Coach" as many have been rumourring!

I am hoping that the world will start seeing the truth after the unparelleled standard of T&T football after the game tomorrow and I don't want to be disappointed and have to overdose after game tomorrow so help me out eh Bertille!

I will be staisfied with a 0-0 result and at least 1 point on the board, that will be good enough to keep me off these mind bending drugs and get me thru the next 24 hours or so!

Thanks in advance Bertille.

Gorn fuh now to de temple of soca to pray like 10 pundit!!

When would we see the TTFF making that sort of stance?! Its easy to tell which countries are serious about grabbing their opportunity to qualify for the World Cup!

Won't they make more money with an evening match to off-set the lighting cost, seeing that more folks will be able to attend after work?! Plus we foreign-based should perform better as they will be less likely to bun in the mid-day sun before the 90 minutes is up!

14547
I agree but I will lay the blame for this at the feet of his unpatriotic Trini parents! It was their duty to instil in their son his Trini idenity so that he won't be lost for the rest of his adult life. Looks like the parents are just as lost as Kerron!

Palos, it looks like yuh voted Yes for St Clair to be replaced now, same as me?!  ;)

14549
I believe  Kerron's parents are to blame! They are obviously not patriotic Trinis and so haven't instilled that important trait in their son!  Sad but maybe Ato might be able to have a talk with Kerron's parents who are the major ones making his decisions at 19!

Ah gorn
