On soccernet.com, it says they aren't starting Messi. I guess because of the yellow card. Thierry Henry and Eto'o got this though. I love their assist-goal celebration. SALUTE!!!

« on: April 03, 2009, 09:21:33 AM »
real talk, I dont think that football should be that big a deal as to ruin your life because of a loss. Treating football like that is unhealthy. Football is just a game and while its ok to be pissed off when you lose, I don't think that you necessarily have to be. Its not a rule anywhere that becaus eyou lose you gotta be pissed off and ready to cut somebody.
As far as the partying, I dont think any of this isht should be the motivation for the players as far as football. Just cause people wanna buy them drinks and give dem wine, that should not be motivation for them to win. We suppose to be their fans no matter what. Now, they need to be able to take responsibility of how they play and motivatin themselves to not play a whole bunch of tooz. Cause that performance against the US was just horrible.

Football / Re: Views on T&T v USA game.
« on: April 02, 2009, 09:34:25 AM »
As a group, i think our passes were definitely poor. Sometimes I thought we could have kept a low to the ground pass, but instead we turn it over with the long air balls. There was little pressure on the ball when the US had it. Also, the support for the players with the ball was pretty poor, which contributed to the poor passes. I feel like we had trouble handling the ball as well. many times we would recieve a pass, and the ball would bounce in a random direction(usually towards an american player).

Lord, father in heaven, knower of every hair on meh head (lol)..
I pray today that you bless the Soca warriors today in the match against the US. Give them the ability to score goals, but above all, prevent them. Allow our defense to be solid, and give us that one blessed bounce where the ball winds up in the back of the US net. Allow our players to leave the pitch without a red card nor injury, and allow this game to make us stronger and improve our team chemistry, so that no matter this result, we will be strong enough to take on the rest of the competition with success. Thank you lord, in your holy name, amen.

I'll probably get cuss for dis, but I wouldn't mind a tie against the US on US soil. I mean, yea, we should go for a win, but unless we pull some bs like the el salvador game, I'll be satisfied with a tie.

A true footballer will be the only one that understands what a loud cheering crowd does to your confidence....some of dem just come to lime and drink...I  agree with you Peter.....MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!!!!!!

best girls in the stadium does real lift my confidence :D
lol.. I can understand. But then do you cheer for the team or fuh dem?

I guess in the end, its just noise that the supporters should be making.

Why can't we have this problem with defenders? We have a bunch of pretty good strikers, but it seems the defense is not up to par.

baseball? MUTHA FUGGEN BASEBALL? that shit is so f**kin boring. COme the hell on. You sit there for an hour and watch mu fuggas stand around until the ball is hit. to be qualified as a sport, fat mutha f**kas can't be equally as good as fit ppl. Yea, its discriminitory, but the same lazy f**k that sits down eatin chips and watchin tv all day shouldn't be able to be a beast just from the jump.... thats just my thoughts though.

But real talk, I just be sittin on the couch watching the game, and Im always ready to sleep, cause there is all this, walk around home plate. Swing the bat. Look at the sideline. Chew gum. Spit, dust off your shoes. Wonder if your gettin punani tonight. Then the occasional hit the ball, and get on base so you can do the same thing as you wait for the next player on your team to do the same, or your out so the other team can do that bullshit.

His scolarship will be different from our footballers because he is a US citizen also ,Have you seen his scolarship, then why think it is crap, have you tried calling the university officials to get thier side.  Do you know foreign athletes get a different scholarship to a US athlete.

there is not any difference between the scholarships foreign students athletes receive and those that US citizens receive. Scholarships are issued either full or partial. Now full scholarships will include the direct cost of attendance. Tuition, room and board plus fees. So any athlete who does not have tuition, room and board and fees paid for is receiving a partial scholarship. The decision on what type of scholarship full or partial an athlete receives is solely that of the coach and is based on their budget. What some coaches do is supplement their budget by having athletes apply for scholarships and aid outside of their dept and it is there where the requirements may stipulate that the applicant be a US citizen.
From what i see, the scholarships tend to be more restrictive for foreign students
