I myself don't know where he ended up,the last thing i know he had a business on the Mall that burned down, yes i must say a very exciting player,
I don't know if you remember Evans Friday,Junior Phillip,Steve(Dark Horse)Pierre, they all played at some time.
Coops can you remember some of these names? : Dave denoon,Hamil Smith,Sue,"baby boy" goalkeeper,"blood" goalkeeper,"Shines"goalkeeper, furgus julien, salim, andre francis, sparrow"coach", cassimy brothers and bernard julien to name a few.
That savannah bread very good players till this day.
Breds you bring back some real good memories for me here with those names,i played with and against or coached all those guys at some time in Carenage League or different clubs that they were on,i must say good players came from that area.
Junior Phillip has a different last name and is now a cop.Evans Friday i remember broke his leg back then but, was still able to play after that, spent many, many years in carenage but he is originally from saparia one of my associates also good player very quick on the wing.Carenage united in those days.

This thread change into something else now.

Earl 'Spiderman' Carter - Started the campaign as our #1 in goal.  Was real agile boy he used to love to fly.  Lost the starting spot to Maurice later on.

Earl Carter wow.............haven't heard bout him since i was in primary school...i completely forgot about this man as part of de strike squad...where is he??

Saw him ln Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn at least 5 years ago.  Doh wanna start another topic within the other topics in this thread, but Gally shoulda never bench de man.
off the topic."spiderman" Was confident in himself and knew all along he was the #1
shirt from since that game against the u.s in el camino college ground in los angeles, but there was a fallout  between him and coach cummings"i think his mouth has alot to do with him being benched"but, he was always better than maurice. One wonders, turn back the hands of time who will gally start in goal nov.19th 1989? i am sure he thinks about this at times.

I find it real funny with everyone and de issue on Stern, doh get me wrong de man does real purge BUT check de last stage of we qualifiers (only the ones Stern score in)....

04-Jun-2005 PORT OF SPAIN (Trinidad and Tobago) Trinidad and Tobago - Panama 2:0 (1:0) Stern score winning goal
03-Sep-2005 PORT OF SPAIN (Trinidad and Tobago) Trinidad and Tobago - Guatemala 3:2 (0:1) Stern score 2 goals
08-Oct-2005 PANAMA CITY (Panama) Panama - Trinidad and Tobago 0:1 (0:0) Stern score the winning goal
12-Oct-2005 PORT OF SPAIN (Trinidad and Tobago) Trinidad and Tobago - Mexico 2:1 (1:1) Stern score both goals

So, 4 out of de 10 games we play he win it for we or had a part in winning it for we.

now ah not trying to back de man but lewwee get off he case nah. When de man score we all saying he's ah boss but he ain't score in de world cup and he is ah shit snake. Real top players in de world I bet never score ah goal in de life of de world cup. Lewwee say for instance that Terry never clear that goal off de line and it score (and we win de game cause momentum on we side) den Stern is ah hero???

Yes as ah socawarrior I woulda more dan like tuh see Latas play on de biggest stage, but remember we use tuh say "In Beenie we trust"

Ppl say they see game live and de was dere but dat doh make u ah coach cause if dat was de case den send yuh application tuh TTFA right away cause we looking fuh yuh tuh take we tuh 2010.

All in all what Wim say I agree I ain't no analyst or anything but tuh me he talking sense. I agree with rippin lewwee look at de future and not de past, we cah change nothing dat happen in de world cup so it was ah coulda shoulda thing (playing Latas and Scottie).

Lewwee drink  :beermug: :beermug: and look tuh brighter things in de future of T&T football

You sound like you're speaking straight from the heart  in de last part of your post :beermug:

I've been reading some of the posts that have been put up since the world cup in response to the career choices of some of our footballers with interest and i would like to say the following.

As supporters, I think we get carried away sometimes. I'm not saying I agree with everything everyone of our players do, but consider this:

Anyman who has to pick up and leave his friends, family and everything he knows for a job opportunity that may or may not come out well is faced with a hard choice. So is one faced with having to choose between his career and his religious beliefs. So is one who considers himself as employed beneath his value, and underpaid,

Ideally we all want to be the best we can be, but are we all willing to make the sacrifices necessary to do so? Its easy for us to say, he should go there and he should do that, but we sit safely in our armchairs while we say it...
Also, If a doctor chooses to bring his 'expertise' to Trinidad instead of some big clinic in England, we would congratulate him. So why if a man choose to stay in the PFL we have to get on? Why are we so?

There are many factors that go into a decision to ply one's trade somewhere but at the end of the day, there are a lot of emotional factors as well. We should remember that these guys are human beings before being footballers. As such, their decisions are also human ones. They may not always be the best objectively speaking, but they are theirs.

Just my $0.02

Joseph Hill, the lead singer for the seminal Jamaican roots reggae group Culture and a man once hailed as a "founding fathers of black consciousness," has died unexpectedly while on tour in Europe.

Hill, 57, was with the group in Berlin when he fell ill suddenly on Saturday morning and died, according to his daughter, Andrea. The Jamaica Gleaner newspaper said he died from liver failure.

Hill spent 27 years at the helm of Culture, regarded as one of reggae's fundamental bands.

"He was truly among the greats when it comes to reggae music. The music has lost a stalwart," reggae singer Ken Boothe told the Jamaican Star newspaper.

"Culture made a great contribution to the development of reggae music."

Hill's music career began in 1972 when he joined the Soul Defenders as a percussionist.

However, he became most famous with Culture, originally called the African Disciples. The group consisted of Hill, Albert Walker and Kenneth Dayes, who left the group in the 1990s and was replaced by Telford Nelson.

Two Sevens Clash, released in 1976, was Culture's most influential record, gaining wide popularity in Jamaica and Britain. The album was a collection of songs written in repudiation of the Jamaican government's state of emergency called that year.

Hill wrote Culture's most famous songs, including Natty Never Get Weary, I'm Not Ashamed, This Train, International Herb and Two Sevens Clash.

Radio Jamaica has called Hill "one of the founding fathers of black consciousness."

Culture released 26 albums of original material, most recently  World Peace in 2003.

Culture toured extensively in Africa, Japan, Israel, Britain and Northern Europe.

After Hill's death, the group said on its website that it has cancelled the rest of the European tour. However, the statement said Culture "may perform future concerts with Joseph's son Kenyatta standing in on lead vocals as a tribute to his father."

If you don't get it taken care of the condition will most likely degenerate and you'll end up worse off so just leaving it as-is is NOT an option.

But it is definitely a good idea to get another opinion as to what kind of surgery you'll need though.

boy ah worried and scared. going to see 2 more doctors within a couple
of weeks. lets see what happens then. :(

59
boss yuh have a good chair at the office? meh back went out a few months back. the first thing ah change was meh chair at the office - no more problems after that.
at this point no chair can do anything now nah. recent x-rays show a torn

yuh should get 2 more opinions before you decide to do something critical like that.
what u do to end up in that situation btw?

boy i eh know nah but it started as a very mild pain.after working around the house or in the park playing ball is pressure at night plenty ice for about an hour or so. I am having a second opinion in palm beach soon a premier Dr.in south florida or go back to my home state of los angeles, california.to have it done if i will approve of it(surgery).
