i born & grow up in 80's in san-do and i remember all the lil phases we pass through. the cross colours-karl kani phase. the malcom x hoody phases. the adidas slippers phases. but through all ah dat we never wanted to be no killers. i leave trini in 2000 and the change from then till now is so drastic. men wearing uptowns on the beach, everybody wearing a damm shirt & a jacket like they name usher. man in party wearing shades whole night. everybody have a doo rag an ah fitted hat. if we going to blame bet, mtv, and the internet ok, but what happen to the parents? i remember i used to have to hide my naughty ny nature tape cause it had cussin on it. i coulda never tie up my head with a bandana an go in my grand mother house. come on folks no matter what the influences these youths have today, if the parents was strong and would open their eyes to the fact that alot of these youth only want to get "jiggy fly" and not work for a livin then they might just see where they going wrong. my father raise me by he self and he work shift so it had plenty time when he wasnt home but he set a good example, so we can't blame the single parent home. parents need in trini today need to take interest in their kids future. wat yuh do in school today, leh meh check yuh homework, where yuh goin an lime, wat yuh listen to , why yuh dressing like such ah tun, why yuh talkin like ah damm yardie. it always used to have 1 or 2 men who was tryin to be yardie, but now it seem like is only 1 or 2 men tryin to be trini.
