Well well wim...cyah hide behind playing barbados and other caribbean teams anymore can you?...the truth reveals itself
Alyuh men good yes...I know men was just waiting for the team to lose a game so they could start back the nonsense...this was a FRIENDLY...the purpose of which is to see the strengths AND weaknesses of the team. Everybody on this forum should bt now be aware that this is by no means a FULL STRENGTH Trinidad & Tobago team and therefore will struggle with the stronger opposition. In my honest opinion it is still too soon to start readying the lynch mob for Wim since even beenie struggle with the team...recall last Gold Cup??

good talk  ;)

Now, why don't you guys take a look at what might have gone wrong in the team last night:

http://www.teletica.com/archivo/td7/nac/2007/02/04/15987.htm

I Tiempo = First Half
II Tiempo = Second Half

dat girl look like destra oui... ;D from what i saw, as i stated before the defenders are the reason we lost, and also some very bad decisions by williams, the rest of the team playing good ball but de back which i stated many moons ago has been impotent...

doh knowbout the destra tind lol......... i agree with you doh the defenders really need some work (mayb playin and training together soem more will help alot) we have time.... and jan played abit shaky as well and needs to hold the ball more instead of just tryin to push it away...... we have a good group here its just for them to mesh more together and buck up on defense......

Football / Re: Haiti wins Caribbean soccer title
« on: January 25, 2007, 05:16:20 PM »
Though ah love T&T and do feel the rest of the Caribbean not in our league if it came down to their best vs our best, ah find we using this 'dey beat we B/C/whatever team' excuse too much. If T&T supposed to be the kings of Caribbean football, we should ah clean up reguardless. The Jamaicans is just the same from their messageboard...'we woulda, we coulda, we shoulda if only dis an dat had happen. Apparently, both T&T and Jamaica have the highest quality and best organised leagues in the Caribbean, and according to a Jamaican poster in another thread, their league is innundated with foreign scouts due to the shear abundance of talent on show. If this is the case should'nt Jamaica have breezed into the Digicel by merely lacing up their boots and T&T third string should have cruised home.

Instead of diminishing Hati's achievement by continually saying..."congrats on yuh win, but". Let us just admit that the gap in class is not as wide as we think. I for one see nothing negative at all from this Digicel. We got a reality check as did our other Caribbean brethren, namely Jamaica (overconfidence), Cuba (Is the FIFA ranking actually a true representation of ability?), Martinique (apparently thought they were one of the best prepared teams) and Barbados (Seemed to focus soley on beating T&T). We gone get an even bigger one come Panama, Costa rica and the Gold Cup. Hati did what we did not...learn from our mistakes. At least we now know our Talent pool is not as sparse as we think and also these fellas can step it up if required.

At the end of the day Hati won, we lost. They proved they were the better team on the day. Lets move on, give them they props and concentrate on giving a good showing at the Gold Cup. At least we have some immediate focus....what Jamaica got? We can preach we're the best day in day out but its performance and results that matter most.

well said  :applause:
they were just the better team on that night and props are due just hope that we learn from our mistakes and grow from them .....again congrats to HAITI .....and T&T as well for showing that there is hope in our football hopefully time is on our side on our road ahead!

One step at a time. Lets focus on Digicel Cup. There is a bunch of talent out there that needs playing time. We need them to gel from early. Then we need to move on to Gold Cup and have a good showing there. And most importanlty, Dominate the Minnows. The when time comes for WC Qual. we would see if we have it together.  If we handle our business I dont see why not. This year we cannot finish in the playoff spot, we may not be that lucky.

i agree one step at a time dominate one cometiton at a time. give the nw players a chance to prove themsleves and work together as a team and we will see what we';re working with

Football / Re: Boyz out front in 2010 race
« on: December 10, 2006, 04:57:51 PM »
This has nothing to do with the TTFF.  It does not matter who is in charge, the collective T&T mentality is too short-sighted and too self-centered and too full of talk and no action. The money only comes if there is light at the end of the tunnel. It pervades all aspect of T&T development...not just sport.

i agree with this we onl get on theband agon when something good happens we need to see the potential of people befor ehand and realsie what it can do for them and us as a country.
the government, ngo's and praivate businesses should really be a part of all sports inthe country and really put the needed financial support. also ttff needs to get their act together andstop thinkin about htemsleves and what money they can put into thier pockets and think about all out sports men and women. these are their livelihoods that we are taking so very lightl and its a real shame
its their nine to five; their bread and butter
