Anyone know the official rules of what song can be eligible for road march. I was doing a little research on the song Famalay and it was a song created by Skinny, it was his idea, he wrote most of it and Bunji added a line or 2. Machel did not write any part of it. Skinny seeked out Machel and Bunji to do the colab after being in the studio. So if this is eligible, anyone from any country can do a song, have 2 trinis on it and they could win road march? Don't get me wrong, this is a bess song and if it wins, deserves it, although I may prefer Savannah grass. I just want to understand the rules.

The following article answers your question:
Is Famalay eligible for Road March? TUCO releases the rules

Thanks Tallman.

SAVANNAH GRASS! #1 Soca song right now and only been released about a month

:beermug:

If there was no Soca Mafia, this would be road march! The only other real contender right now is Famalay!

Football / Re: Joevin Jones Thread

None issue, just media trying to create unnecessary hype. This would be handled internally and I don't think Joevin has anything to worry about. If he plays tomorrow, then he was given the go ahead by Sounders to play.

But why didn't the GM just refute the story and say they gave him permission to leave? The "personal reasons" thing sound jokey.

Well the GM priority is the Sounders, so I am sure he wanted Joevin to stay for the 2 rivalry games, but I am sensing Jones told them he wanted to go help his national team, hence the "personal reasons" remake and they allowed him to leave. I hardly think Joevin "walked out" on the team.

It would be tough for JA to win that game with the US having the home advantage and Refs on their side. Won't be surprise if it's close at the end, the US gets a penalty for the go ahead goal  :D

Maybe the team need some prayers and a miracle to get 3pts today!  :praying:

In that case.....invoke the memory of our gone but never forgotten sister Joanne "Weary" Charles.

Here you go...

We pray that we get 3 points in de nombre de Jesus

Hope she's smiling and saying "Co-Sign" to this!

Sounders defender Joevin as early Fullback of the Year.
SoundersFC.com Staff

Seattle Sounders left back Joevin Jones has been in the form of his life recently and is showing no signs of stopping.

As we head into Week 11 of the MLS season, MLSSoccer.com’s Armchair Analyst Matt Doyle has crowned Jones the Fullback of the Year so far. The Trinidadian international is second in the league in assists with five and has been as instrumental a part of the Sounders’ offense as he has defensively, shutting down opposing attackers with a 1-v-1 skill that few of his counterparts can rival.

“Jones has been the brightest light in an otherwise sluggish start to the season for Seattle,” wrote Doyle. “He gets forward with abandon, has become an above average defender, and his five assists are one behind the league leaders. By my (unofficial) count, no defender's ever had more than eight in a season.”

You can check out the full award list and Best XI here.

I sense we are either well on the way to a Joann Charles Foundation or memorial fund because that $400 TT figure will be eclipsed ... :applause:

What happens next?

I think the rest would go towards the annual Christmas food drive, which should be in her name.

Weary had shared her WC story with me..here's the intro which I think summed up her life as we knew it...still sad about this news  :(

"WEARY1969 IN GERMANY

A songwriter said that Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me. I agree the second best thing was going to Germany to support the Soca Warriors"

Wow, just wow!  :o Never knew she was sick, I had to do a double take when I saw the thread. I was happy to meet up with her on one of visits back home and she was one of the 1st to message me back in the day when I just joined. She will definitely be missed! RIP Weary and condolences to the family  :(  :'(

We can get back into this game if we keep moving the ball and get an early goal!
