Haven't gotten to see too too much but the defense of what I did see looked horrible. They looked unorganized, uncomfortable with the ball, and had some horrible marking. Every corner at least one person was wide open.

The offense looked pretty good though and you can tell we've got some talented kids, they were just indecisive with the ball. They need more experience as a team.

Should our association be speaking out and demanding some form of apology or repercussion from the Mexican team?

We know CONCACAF is trash and probably won't do anything so maybe we need to take the initial step and force them to speak on it?

Rumour has it that he has matured a lot. He was released by Connection and then Central for playing fete match and minor league football. Graham Rix was really frustrated by him and could never understand how a guy with so much talent would prefer to play minor league than focus on being a professional.

It's good to see that he persevered. I remember his last words to me when he left Central. He said "Mr Harrison, I'm gonna straighten myself out and come back to Central" I heard he was thinking about doing just that this season, so, BallPest...the door is always open!!

I think you've lost him.

I think we can't afford him lol

Lol, yea...I think his price tag just got a little too big for us but it's good to see him turn it around. Great story Supporter.

So I was at a bar in Manhattan with about 100 Mexicans and just me repping and mannnn I thought I was gonna have to celebrate in the hospital the way them boys looked at me when we tied up at the end and I stood up dancing in their faces.

Anyway, hands down the best game I've ever watched from the Soca Warriors.

Even though 2 of the goals were off turnovers, it was great to see the midfield push forward and have momentum in that 2nd half. Once we went down 2-0 you can see we started really pressing and that's when we were playing our best.

Cummings was great!

The thing I think we all said we wanted was for J. Jones to cross the ball in better.  Well there you go.

KJ....Oh boy.... KJ is like that kid in high school who don't try and teachers hate him cuz they know he is smart and he shows glimpse of brilliance but the majority of the time he lazy and just wants to do the bare minimum.  I'm not even mad at the Own Goal but that giveaway was unacceptable. Not the pass itself, but the body language and the lack of hustle afterwards.  If you give up a ball you better be sprinting back to try and prevent the counter. THAT MAN AIN'T EVEN WALK! HE stood there.  But then he goes and puts all kind of pressure and hits it off the cross bar and then holds the ball well and gets two assists and a goal.  I dunno what do say bout this man....

Phillips gotta come out for those crosses.  There was one cross where the Mexican player just mistimed it but had an open header from about 3-4 yards from the goal.  That can't be an option!!! He started to go out there and punch them at the end of the game but he needs to punch harder or grab them.  Great reaction save on the goal line from that header though. A lot of keepers would have bobbled that.

Defense has to stop ball watching.  Maybe cuz we were playing the younger guys and resting Cyrus and others but we've been really good this tourney with winning the ball in the air until last night. Gotta get back to how we were playing.

Even though secretly I wanted to play CR (Bad from as of late and Panama is playing pretty well and DIRTY as hell) I am proud of these boys and will be cheering my heart out at METLife.  One thing the Soca Warriors haven't done is played a full 90 min game with that much heart and passion and boy did they last night.  Proud day for us and all the Caribbean Teams moving forward.   :beermug:

Win or lose, I would love to see more momentum and attacks coming from the midfield.  Honestly, I rather have CR as an opponent because Panama play DIRTY. That game will be full of cards, knocks, and even if we won can have a player or two knocked up pretty badly for the Semi Final game.

Either or, I hope we get to see some of the younger players show what they've got and we put on a good show.

Thanks! Do you know if I should just buy tickets in the 100 section and see if I can just move over to 121/126 or should I look specifically at 121/126?

Quarterfinals Section at Metlife Stadium

So there was a thread and now I can't find it.  Any information bout a tailgate/lime before the game on Sunday?  Also, can we get a section for all of us to sit & cheer our boys on? Wanted to buy my tickets soon.

Best player so far for me is a tie between Kenwyne Jones and Joevin Jones

Bateau has also been excellent....on both sides of the ball.

It's Joevin, not even close.  I think 2 of our goals have come off a free kick that he set up. Then he scored a goal himself and his speed on the outside opens up the middle. He just needs to work on getting those crosses in. He's really been great this tourney & this season too in MLS

I agree that Joevin has been outstanding...which is why it's a tie.  But people on here really overlook KJ.

I can guarantee you....the opposition doesn't.

I feel you but it's hard to measure impact on performance if it's indirect. Back lines focusing on KJ to free up others does help & boy has been working his ass off more than usual. But you can't really show what was gained from it. With the goal and opportunities set up from JJ, you can.

Soooo yea....don't mind me, I'm just trying to figure out what section we're gonna be in and if we're tailgating. I live in Brooklyn and got my car so I can bring some stuff if y'all need me to. Gonna be a fun day no matter who we play.

We should not be conceding any goals to a team that is down to 10 men. That is highly disappointing.

We need to make up for it by scoring at least 2 more goals and not conceding any more goals.
It was a well deserved goal tbh

I think FRG got a red card.. Chels, confirm?

Yea, it was their captain Marvin Torvic. 2 yellow cards.

Don't know what greener pastures he could find but he needs to play and I don't know how much playing time he's going to get with that new guy Waston in there.
With them being in CCL he may find a good amount of playing time.

I've been getting soccer fans at work coming up to me today and asking about this. Sh*t is embarrassing. Did they really not get prize money?!

I understand why the coach went to twitter and I appreciate him putting the TTFA on blast because someone has to! If no one wants to take accountability then nothing will change.  And this is from a coach that's working for FREE. I think he genuinely cares about the girls and giving them a chance to do something they haven't done in the 23 years.

However, I still feel a way about it. It's embarrassing. We're supposed to be one of the powerhouses and yet we're being looked at now like a damn third world country.   It's discouraging to the players, the prospect players, the people, and others.

Carlyle Mitchell - Vancouver Whitecaps
Cordell Cato - San Jose Earthquakes
Kevan George - Columbus Crew
Nicholas Walker - FC Dallas
Kevin Molino - Orlando City (2015)

Trinis have played in the MLS all through the years, however, it's not easy to get in.

I guess you can throw Nick DeLeon and Shaenon Williams if we're not talking about capped Trinis.  I think Molino and Cato have the brightest future as far as the list goes.  Both are LOVED by the fans and club and while Molino plays a more important roll and will get a ton of learning experience playing with the likes of KaKa, I think the MLS is soon to start reaching out to more Caribbean players. The combine earlier this year was a good start.

TRANSFER NEWS: Jamal Jack has joined Guyana's Alpha United on a 6 month loan deal. Alpha United will compete in the Concacaf Champions League group stage starting with a clash against Olimpia of Honduras on Tuesday 5th August at 8 pm

Will be a good move for for Alpha during their CCL run. I doubt he'd be playing tomorrow?

Very nice, and very well done.  I'm happy that he seems to have landed on his feet and in a good situation.  I can't help but to think that his laid back personality may have contributed to some of his his issues in Philadelphia.  Wishing him and the team the best at Miedz
It was more of him being forced to play in the wrong position. Fans and coaches wanted him to produce more and be the stereotypical fast Caribbean player (Yes, that's a stereotype to MLS fans) Glad to see him doing well.

Molino is playing hot right now! Great ball handling and off the ball movements. Finishing his chances too.
It'll be great next year when Orlando City plays in the MLS and he gets better competition. Might be the guy we really look at to lead us to 2018.

He never got to play his natural position in Philly. I feel like he'll be put on a team somewhere else in the MLS even for depth purposes.

He's already been contacted by some NASL teams according to rumors.
