Football / Re: Xavi: Scholes the world's best midfielder

Xavi being waaaaaaaaay overly gracious!!
Not really, although he has not won a lot of individual awards his consistency as a player outlasts many who rise to prominence and begin to falter after a few seasons. That alone in my and many others opinion makes him a candidate for such a title.

Keeping an eye on that Bon Accord team. They have a good squad this year Irvine is turning out to be a deadly marksman. Its a pity that Carrington is playing mostly as GK this season though, he is a very talented Attacking Mid or Winger. Saw him come out and take a free kick from about 35 yds out in that same final and he hit the top of the bar almost had the GK beat. Great job to the Bon Accord Staff , coaches and players also to coach Terry who coaches these boys in the Phoenix youth teams.

The game/s Yorke didn't play in, for the ban he served, can anyone remind me how the team looked. But then again that was under Maturana so we cyar really fault the team. Yorke is old but he wasn't the only player showings signs of fatigue, thing is if your looking for a players faults your always gonna highlight whatever mistakes they make and he did make some but he also made some crucial plays. Fact is Latas is the coach he have the experience not yall and if Yorke telling him what to do then maybe he not ready to be coach. Yorke has his ups and downs as being part of the team and in Latas eyes the ups outweigh the downs.

Football / Re: Football in Tobago makes no sense
« on: April 23, 2009, 09:50:20 PM »
Boy I does hardly post, in fact i does just read and get meh kicks but this one hitting close to home (and ah mean real close).

Men talking bout this game like if it have some players on the national side that never kick a ball in DYS. But the fact remains that on a number of occasions (and I'll stand to be corrected if I am wrong) at some point of all of these fellars careers they would have either played or trained in the stadium. I mean we have had national training camps in bago before, so what, the grass an air in bago so foreign steups.

And as far as benefits, there may be none as far as anyone can tell but then again we will have to actually play a game to know now won't we.

Look and many of my friends and family pay for our plane/boat tickets travel to Trini and watch games at extra cost, and hoss is more than the cost a gas or taxi fare, and we support our team. So don't we deserve to have a game in Tobago too, eh.

I believe games should be rotated throughout TnT but while all you have to consider gas or a transport for a game anywhere in Trinidad. Any Tobagonian would have to find the added boat or airfare and 10 to 1 you will still find a crew of us there.

Anyhow one never knows which way it will go in the land of lies, half truths and innuendos. So if it plays in DYS I will be there making noise all the way. YES WIN, DRAW or LOOSE.

..I'll add meh 2cents .Stern never had to ask Dwight to take the penalty just as he did not have to ask him when he took the penalty against Mexico or any other penalty he has ever taken for TnT .No orders from DE bench were disobeyed or anything like that . As a senior player and TnT leading goal scorer Dwight gives him the respeck on the pitch .If Dwight did not want him to take it he would have said something.
andre baptistie is a full grown idiot to start de rumour about Stern convince Dwight to take the penalty .Ignorance tuh de highest degree bout 'friendship cost us 3 pts '...pure garbage by a wanna be journalist who is nothing but a lil PUNK .

 :applause:

This is why I usually only read and never post.

I mean c'mon first off is Stern, what yall expect this has been his m.o. since moving to Europe he has his moments, but cheeese and bread allyuh could cry the fella dong. Yuh know if he get a goal or 2 or 3 in de next game he go be the best ting since dey invent batty wipe. But what really tears it is that a lot of allyuh does always find a way to blame me boy Dwight. I mean the fella was already the bigger man by the admitance of some perceived wrong doing, which in my book shows a lot of character something a lot of ppl in TnT know nothing of. That is the sign of a true leader but for years and I mean years the public of TnT seem to revel in this fella misgivings, wether he cyar pronounce a word right "Nathuraly" or he responsible for Latas Hiatus I mean the man is ttfootball scapegoat or wha.

Look ah know we all hurtin from that loss but c'mon cry down we players who already would be on a low is just a negative vibes dread. Look lets look to the next games and see what we can do, not forgeting the lessons our players would hopefully have learned. Who knows this loss might actually turn out to be a good thing in that it may kill any possibility of complacency arising within the ranks. Yuh coulda imagine what would have happened if we did win 5 - 0 every team woulda come at we all out and man might a start playing some slack ball you know de usuall pre Madonna mentality.

Anyhow T&T forever

Leweh keep up the Good vibes

Jokes / Penis wants a raise
« on: October 28, 2006, 12:18:51 AM »
THE PENIS WANTS A RAISE

I, the Penis, hereby request a raise in salary for the following reasons.

  I do physical labor.
  I work at great depths.
I plunge head first into everything I do.
I do not get weekends, or public holidays off.
I work in a damp environment.
I work in a dark workplace that has poor ventilation.
  I work in high temperatures.
My work exposes me to contagious diseases.

 THE RESPONSE:

    Dear Penis:
After assessing your request, and considering the arguments you have raised, the administration rejects your request for the following reasons:

You do not work 8 straight hours.
You fall asleep after brief work periods.
You do not always follow orders of the management team.
You do not stay in your designated area and are often seen visiting         other locations.
 You do not take initiative.
You need to be pressured and stimulated in order to start working.
You leave the workplace rather messy at the end of your shift.
You don't always observe necessary safety requirements, such as wearing
 the correct protective clothing.
You will retire well before you are 65.
You are unable to work double shifts.
You sometimes leave your designated work area before you have  completed the assigned task.
And if that were NOT ALL, you have been seen constantly entering and
exiting the workplace carrying two suspicious looking bags.

                                                             Sincerely, The Management

hey great article brother hope the youths who have intentions/aspirations of going to the next level add this to the files.

A lot of talented players from tnt dont make it sometimes because coaches out side like to see what your doing when you dont have the ball at your feet.

so thats an important factor to note the TTFF via the PFL and all our other leagues  should also attempt to have a net work like this put into place

All in all great read :beermug:

Football / Re: Whim's biggest challenge
« on: July 13, 2006, 09:02:47 AM »
He biggest challenge go be de dotishness dat does pass for sports journalism in T&T.

Is jes a matter of time before Andre Baptiste start repeatedly playin de Nakhid interview accusin Wim of bein a racist.

Den yuh go have de usual suspects like de one's who was on he radio show de oddah day talkin bout Wim never coach nobody and dey eh givin local coaches no opportunity....conveniently bypassin Anton Corneal birthplace in de process in addition to dem own failure when dem had dem opportunity wit de national team.

He biggest challenge go be all de insecure, bad mind, neurotic, and xenophobic ex footballers, local coaches and supporters who go be out to spread de message of de "white man" and how he still keepin de "black man" down.

ent?

double ent ??

I don't believe that many of us could put it much better than you did

a lot of people went around singing "win lose or draw I am a fighter"

well we draw 1 and lost 2 and all the fakers and posers show they true colors is alright to be hurt but what does it solve taking it out on the team
now is the time for all of us to show that true warrior spirit that captivated the world usa and most of these so called better teams could not even attain such a feat

GREAT post and well done to all the true warriors

VIBES IT UP

fellas this man is a real fooljus like all the others definitely Latas would have brought so,ething different to the game but remember not only would his endurance be a slight problem but the recooperation period between games of such high intensity may not have been enough

all of these so called coaches on here making comments would have known that and thats only one of the problems Leo would have had to deal with none the less we've made our intentions known what matters now is the follow through 2010

2006 World Cup - Germany / PROUD REGARDLESS
« on: June 15, 2006, 02:32:19 PM »
regardless ah wha all these wagonist like vibze etc come here and post on we board ah proud

a year a go some people was hoping we could ah make it in the hex for 2010 but then the bring the beenie man

and wid his tactical know how he used the resources available and led this small twin island state to our first world cup ever

a lot of people said we wouldnt be here, according to one commentator "tnt is a side written off more times than de mexican debt" and another "we expect england to tear this team apart"

yet today what i witnessed infact what the whole world witnessed were the soca warriors playing their hearts out and shuting down england at every turn Owen,Lampard, Beckam all turned out to be almost ineffective

it was Glen,Stern,Yorke and all the other guys who stole the show with a world class coach at the helm (one who i hope we can afford to keep)

regardless of what all these other a$$ h@les say

I AM A SOCA WARRIOR WETHER WE WIN OR LOSE I AM A FIGHTER
THE DREAM IS STILL ALIVE AND IT IS STILL SO MUCH MORE THAN MOST OF US COULD HAVE HOPED FOR

THANKS FOR THE GREAT RIDE WARRIORS I EAGERLY LOOK FOWARD TO THE REST OF THE JOURNEY

Football / Re: Lets Pray For The Warriors!
« on: June 10, 2006, 11:53:00 PM »
Father we thank you for this opportunity as a nation and a people. Thank you for all the years of never forsaking us as a people, you have always blessed us. Through hurricanes and Muslimeen you keep us together, and for that we are thankful. Thanks for every sunny day, every hunt and every river lime.

Your blessing once again has brought us to this place and we know that you are with us. Our prayer is for our boys tomorrow. We pray that you give them strength and peace. We pray that you help them to play their dream game and fulfill their dreams. I know that as a nation if we win tomorrow many of us would just fete and not think twice about giving you a second thought or even thanks. But I will not forget you and Marvin will not forget you. As for us Father your name would be lifted up in this and your Glory will shine before men. On paper it seems impossible to win, that's why we look to you because with you all things are possible.

We ask you Lord for a win so that at least, myself, Marvin and the other forumites that believe in you would use this to testify of your goodness. May we find favor in your eye now, give our lads strength and peace now. In this quite time and final hour. Use this Father, to make our nation proud, so that our heads maybe lifted high enough to find your gaze and see your love.

My prayer is that men everywhere would find you and be free. In Jesus name I bind every spirit of fear and intimidation and doubt form the players, in Jesus name. I speak into them right now and call forth the natural skill and abilities that you have given them. I declare renewed youth for Yorke and Latapy in Jesus name, composure and vision and creativity in Jesus name. I speak into the spirit world and release Stern from every curse spoken against him about his form and I declare freedom for Stern John tomorrow in Jesus name. Amen and Amen and Amen.

AMEN AND AMEN

THANK YOU FATHER IN JESUS NAME
