Well said Jones and I hope the TTFA don't try to get vindictive and prosecute Jones for speaking out on behalf of the players.

Kenwyne was speaking on the behalf of Kenwyne, because everybody else saying that there was never any plans to boycott anything.  Not only that, while the FA had made arrangements to bring the checks to Jamaica, Brent Sancho apparently got involved by contacting the Minister of Sport directly, and the three of them decided to circumvent the FA and have the players go to the PM's office for yesterday's horse and pony show.  Mind you, it was the Ministry's responsibility and fault for the late payment in the first place.  Madness.

Heard that too. I called my friend who is in and around the football in T&T and he confirmed Sancho advised the players to try and embarrass the TTFA and wait till Thursday to collect cheques from the Gov't.

I read all the articles and I found it funny the Min. of Sport have claimed they had come to the rescue when a cabinet note had been passed weeks ago after the TTFA were the ones to get it done in the first place. Politics again.

I had it recently confirmed that the new hierarchy in the TTFA also discussed a players association when meeting with the players when Tim Kee etc came into power.

Good job by the TFA.

And thank God, or else we would have had no games to long forward to this international date.

I understand they paid the bill.

Thank for for helping out the TTFA also.

Where you get that info from Errol ?

I could not make the game in Bago as I had to fly out to Europe but I called my friend who went over and he is well informed as he knows alot of people in the current football set up and he told me that the TTFA offered a friendly game to both TFA/THA since July because they have not hosted a game for over two years. According to him that was the new general sec's idea. Tiger's son, cannot remember his first name.

THA only wanted to give 50k towards the event so the TTFA informed the TFA they can have all gate receipts to help out.

The reason for the U20 selection, I'm told , was due to available resources and the need for the U20 to get a final practice game before they host the 2014 CFU cup. My friend say the boys held their own and should have won the game. Not bad vs a senior team.

TFA did not think the stadium would be ready and did not want to support the event but I'm told TTFA, SPORTT and Peter Granville really pushed it over the line and we have to give some kudos to all involved for pulling it off with limited resources.

As a fan of Trinbago Football it was refreshing to hear 3 parties come together to ensure a smooth fixture and allow the kids to gain some much needed experience.

Insider like to panic people.
I just called someone close to the U20 team and he said they are going tomorrow morning via CAL, confirmed.

I am hearing good things about this U20 team. Can't wait to see them in action next week in Trinidad.

This doesn't make sense! Insider said that there was a problem with flights and they may have to fly in on the day of the game.

You said it's panic talk because your mole has said they're flying tomorrow morning.

Isn't that the day of the game or has the game changed to Sunday?

I just reporting what I heard from people close to the U20 team. Heard talk that the team wanted to travel together and Saturday morning gave them that opportunity.

Not sure what the big deal is here. It's a 15 minute flight and they are going tomorrow to play the game.

And Football Supporter, I suggest you take a look at Insider's post history. Seen quite a few attacks on Central FC. I am a big fan of the work you guys are doing there. Keep it up ! Having been outside over Europe, to finally come home and see a couple clubs with ambition is refreshing.

back to square one......... every top concacaf country utilizing international dates except us.

every top concacaf country also has full Gov't and Corporate support.

Food for thought.

I've been to some U20 sessions as I have a few kids that used to be around in the youth leagues when I was active, on the current team...they doing a very good job so far. Interested to see how they do in the future.

I have it on good authority that this recent story from Mr Liburd is false.
FIFA recently approved $2m USD to the TTFA for multiple programs to get off the ground ...why would FIFA approve that If they also issued a warning?? It makes little sense. I have always been a fan of Lasana but his stuff over the last year seems to come with an agenda. I have quite a few friends working in and around the TTFA and T&T Football and I have been hearing some positive steps since Mr Phillips and Mr Tim Kee took over. Of course it has not been smooth sailing at all times but to think they inherited $28m TT in debt and have paid down $11m in debt this year is impressive with hardly any support from Gov't and Corporate T&T.
