Haiti making the region proud, if Jamaica handles Curacao with reasonable goal difference they can win there group. We are a complete embarrassment with no points, -8 goal difference sitting comfortably at the bottom of the group.

KJ thanks for your service, very few get to play in the EPL and have the life you have had. Most have no idea how difficult it was to achieve what you have achieved. Much success in your next endeavors, hoping that you remain in football in some capacity.

Sando, I know you pissed off at the national team. Yes, they underachieving. But to say the other CFU national teams have not improved is not true. But it is frustrating to see our team’s  gross inability to put away teams or hold a lead with 5 mins.  to go in a game.

Like I said this is “practice” games. And I hope DL and staff are making appropriate assessment of players. So when the real games come up, starting with the CFU Cup, we don’t want any excuses. One thing bothering me though. Someone questioned if the players selected are chosen to see if they can make the grade at the international level, or are the chosen to get the international caps so that they could be sold to clubs overseas. If it is the latter, then that defeats the purpose of the former. We can’t be “playing games” with the development process for selfish reason.

This comes back to Contro. I know he pisses off the forum sometimes, especially with the call to bring back SH. But he has alluded to this on some occasions. I think many of us or all us know this sort of thing is going on. This is a new era in football where big money, legal and illicit money is driving or ruling the game. Take your pick.

You are correct that the latter defeats the former, thus the results. DL has won 3 matches, drawn 3 and lost 7. However, the practice continues though the results exhibit tremendous failure. We are calling up players age 29 and older that will be too old to compete in/for Qatar 2022 yet DL is rebuilding.

One last thought is that these players are still not paid to represent their country for the March matches, so I believe an understanding exists between the TTFA and the player for the call up. regardless, the players do not appear motivated to fight to the end for TnT, not sure its due to the lack of compensation or DL inability to motivate and inspire.

Let me guess Guyana and other Carib teams have improved so much we should expect not to beat them  :D (dais the same rhetoric I was hearing after the Grenada game in here)

For me its more like T&T has is so bad now we on par with these Carib teams
.

Agreed! Our level has dropped, partly because of the selections of including 14 Pro League Players to boost the number of caps required to transfer players to other leagues. Unfortunately, the players not good enough to impress other than Winchester who has done well for himself. Kudos to him

hard to explain these 2 games. We may have to stick to Caribbean opponents for sometime, Antigua and Bermuda next.

Not really, we are experimenting and our last two opponents are not the push overs that we think they are.

Having said that, we are undefeated in our last two games.  ;D ;D

Please for him that he got his first cap, however how he was selected is puzzling. He played 10 games for Toronto FC II in 2017 not having scored a goal. On his team are Telfer and Andrews who had much better season and more appearance but they did not get a call. Not to mention his team was the worst team in the Eastern Conference of USL.

At least they looking at USL seriously, Ranjitsingh get a call but made the right choice as he just won the 2017 USL Cup.

Interesting that two TNT nationals have won back to back USL Cup's but neither have received a cap for TnT.

Noah Powder NYRBII 2016
Greg Ranjitsingh Louisville FC 2017

Prepare yourselves for plenty more of this in the years to come

Kudos to the reported 2000 to 2500 fans that allegedly came out to see the game.  Die hard T&T supporters, family and friends
here you go with the gloom and doom, why can't we see this as the beginning of the rebuilding process where we have to get down and dirty in the clean up campaign, why not reserve our judgment for later.

The team had already rebuilt and was having success.

Allyuh puppeteers decide to sabotage the team to use it as dey personal audition stage to try and sell players in the Pro League to make $ fuh deyself.

Now you have the gall to come on here and preach bout rebuilding and patience?

Allyuh must be really feel people dotish in trute.  Your message board name well appropriate.

That's the truth . . .
when did that happen? maybe im missing something here. I was somehow under the impression that rebuilding a team takes time and lots of effort and not some fly by night venture. lord give me strength. sigh.

Go back in history...maybe 18-24 months prior to today's date. Check to see which person was at the helm of the T&T men's senior team. You should need strentgh to ask why are we rebuilding a team that had been in the same rebuilding process almost 2 years prior. Instability is a hell of a thing eh.

Doh waste yuh time with Pull Stones he is a mouth piece for the TTFA, using words like facts without facts. He wanted to give Sainfiet a chance to rebuild too. I am not for firing Dennis but lets be honest his record is  record is poor.

Dennis has coach 12 mataches; Won 3, drawn 2(both Grenada) and Lost 7. The wins against USA and Panama in WCQ, the other a friendly versus Barbados. He lost 6 WCQ games in a row.  Some people still high over eliminating the USA and so silly confusing that for progress and development.

This is not rebuilding,  this is clearly a coach and an FA with no plan for the future. We are calling up players to geta look at them that but these players will be 33 and older by 2022. It makes sense to include young players with seasonned experienced veterans though those veterans will be too old in 2022. These seasoned veterans have so much to share with the young guys that these fringe national  players that will be too old in 2022  do not have. England played Germany a few days ago with a very young squad. We play Grenada with Pro League men that will be too old to compete for 2022. Pure pack a shit

Glad we playing some games, decent team but I feel players 29 and over like Kevon Villaroel shouldn]t really be on this team, now is de time to groom some younger players, especially left footed players and a number 10.

Noah Powder, Rundell Winchester, Duane Muckette, Shaquell Moore, Andre Fortune, Aikim Andrews, Keston Julien and Tyler David.

Even some of them SSFL youths like Kierron Mason, Oba Augustin, Quinn Rodney, Judah St Louis, Kyle Thomas and Che Benny.

Sam

Those players not playing for WConnection.

Tristan Hodge in 2016 could not survive 5 games at Toronto FC II but he keeps getting called. Kevon Villareol is 30 years old in Pro League and you have 2 or 3 18/19 year old LWB playing at a much higher level than him but not getting called.

This is a total waste of time

And the worse team in the Hex beating the second worse team in the Hex is motivation? Why?

Our motivation can only come from us establishing high standarda and developing a plan to meet those standards.

A reaction to the USA response to us beating them can not be our motivation for excellence. What type of dodoo is that? We give 19 goals in the Hex, get motivation to be co.pact in defense. In 10 games we did not score 8 goals
and you want motivation to come from USA response. Come on 2 Pull

maybe not. mexico is not as quick and explosive as the hondurans and the panamanians so we might be able to contain them providing that we have the right keeper in the goal post(hopefully its ranjitsingh) I like this young squad and just maybe we might give a good showing now that the pressure to win is off.

"Mexico not as quick and explosive as Honduras and Panama" What the hell are you smoking 2 Pull? Mexico score 11 goals so far in this Hex, the quick and explosive Honduras and Panama have scored 9 and 7 respectively. You think a young inexperienced squad can surprise a squad with 10 European based players from clubs like Roma, West Ham and FC Porto. You probably still believe in Santa Claus and the tooth Ferry.

Someone mentioned it before, I forgot who, he will kill it then try to bring it back to life so he can be seen as a hero....but I don't think that's likely.

Anyone thinking that way has to be either a fool or know nothing about the development cycle of football. Maybe BOTH!  It simply takes too long for player development for him to bring it back in the window of a TTFA President's term. He would have been a hero if he kept Hart in a cycle with a weak US team in disarray and let the cards playout but he just prove he is either an ASS, a DUNCE or BOTH

Which team was gelling?
i understand everyone's frustration mate i really do but we must keep in mind that a coach was fired in the middle of a hex by a broke federation who did not have the finances to bring in a top notch coach like benhaker a champions league winner who had money bags jack warner footing the bill last time around and with good reason, jack knew how much money was at stake to blow such a big pay day so he gave Leo cart blanche to prepare the team well and we all saw how that went.

this time around we had a federation president with no ideas no clout  and no sponsorship who could not even afford to scratch his head let alone bring in a minor league coach so they opted for a rookie who had to hit the ground running, fair enough. but the questions was which team was gelling, believe it or not this team may have been out classed by some very good teams like Costa Rica and honduras but it's not like they were totally dominated by any stretch of the imagination with the exception of the usa at home, and in any case Lawrence used all the same players that was on hart's core squad starting line up.

j jones
Molino
Cyrus
M Williams
K jones
Hyland
Garcia
Cato
Lewis
Bateau
David
boucard
kevan goerge
ceaser
Abu bakar
Mitchell
Marvin phillips and jan micheal williams.

Curtis Gonzales Alvin jones and hashim arcia was featured in harts tenure with the only new faces being Carlos edwards boatswain and villaroel and none of these guys replaced anyone of major significance with arcia and boatswain only featuring on the starting line up when kenwin got injured. I really dont see the problem here.

Pull Stones you are really 2 pull. Coaches do not travel extensively anymore, in case you and TTFA do not know most leaques are either telivised or live streamed. Furthermore, there are a couple scouting servixes that warehouse video of every serious league on the planet.

26
105 alone you say?

One of the reasons for our catastrophic fall is that results older than 4 years drop off.
What happened summer 2013? Stephen Hart took over at the Gold Cup and we had the first hints of a revival.

Look for more precipitous drops as the positive results of Harts era begin to fall off the calculation. We ent seeing the bottom yet.
You are correct, I was hoping that the strength of the Hex competition would cushion our fall. Just wishfull thinking.

27
Dennis Lawrence totally full of shit, first the man drop KJ, then he not calling Boucaud and only now looking at Ranjitsingh. Please explain to me how players like DeLeon, Bostock, Hackshaw, Guerra, Powder, Telfer, Moses, Jack not getting called but Pro League men constantly in the roster. We needed a General as national coach instead we got a soldier who simply follows orders.  T&T will fall below ranked 105 in FIFA rankings by November.

I think a lot of people on this board don't understand the psychology of sport and suffer from insecurities and an inferiority complex

They constantly feel other teams are far superior when that is far from the truth.

Our team was destined to qualify in the top 3 until the dictator took over the federation..

No matter how much you think it doesn't matter, that destroyed team chemistry and our chances, it wasn't the players being less talented, it was a significant disruption

Our players need a great coach, they had one and he got fired because of the dictator and his ulterior motives..

If you want to preach your narrow mindedness that's fine but don't deem what I'm saying as nonsense because of your own fallacies

Regarding talent, I would not say we have better talent but outside of Mexico and Costa Rica our talent is on par with the other 3 teams in the HEX. We had a credible chance to qualify as 3rd place team with proper coaching and proper player selection but the TTFA showed their inferiority and inexperience when they panicked and fired Hart.

In truth we do not believe in our abilities, however I preface that by saying Pro League players are not the quality we need

Congo,
I see where you are coming from but the challenge is getting 5 -7 players to agree to make that move.  At the end of the day they seeing our history of poor administration so the group scene may not happen.  They probably waiting on others to make the move such that no one is making the move.  The Federation needs to sit down with a group of players and convince them at the same time.  However, I doubt they are capable of doing that so we stuck in this current mess.

Real MADNESS

Yuh right but the foreign based players will not sit with DJW, ISSA and the lot. Players in 3rd Division Europe and 2nd Division USA are accustomed to a level of professionalism that our administrators do not have.  Sadly, when you engage these administrators they are jokey and juvenile simply big men with little children brains.
