Raymond was really solid indeed.  The agent "issue" you raised is an interesting one, not sure our players are "coached" on getting doors opened vs "settling"...

SportsMax previews the CONCACAF Women's World Cup Qualifying final round Group B matchups for Trinidad and Tobago  with T&T head coach Kenwyne Jones.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/4EjEx_ApqEI" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/4EjEx_ApqEI</a>

It appears that Kenwyne thinks he - at some point in time - made a clear and definite statement regarding the departure of the former NT captain and the now avid scorer of goals in Turkey, but he has not in actuality been sufficiently definitive. Had he been, the questions would not be persistent several weeks after the precipitating events.

While I understand the balance he has sought to strike, he could have saved himself from the persistence of the questions had a different approach to engaging public comment on the decisions made been taken.

It has arrived to the point that he can identify the pursuit of the line of inquiry BEFORE the inquisition is fully formed. That standing alone is instructive.

What we are left with is - as an astute observer noted - he wants to appear flexible, but solely on his terms. That standing alone is also instructive.

Surely there is a more expansive interpretation of "in the national interest" other than a resolute, entrenched position.

Yeah, this is unfortunate to say the least.  One wouod think given what KJ himself witnessed as a national player with respect to player selection he would rise above that in the name of national interest.  As tiny as we are we need our best players always...tragic that this story simple recurs with every generation of football...

Yeah, B'dos was poor, no debate there.  That said, we have seen many times TT (as Angus said) play down to the level of the opponent.  It's a WIP, onto the next match and the "true" test will be in the NL matches

Here are some key points I gleaned from this effort:
1. X's and O's are a small part of success. A Coach's personality makes a huge difference in morale and spirit which can ultimately lead to success
2. Fitness was obviously a key factor! There were too many turnovers; playing faster; loss of concentration. These are all elements that improve with game fitness.
3. With the next WC opportunity in 2026, Angus should now turn its sights to bringing in a much younger squad. At least 10 of the squad are in their 30's. Only goalkeepers are likely to have good performances in their late 30's.
4. Use the next few years to schedule games in every available opportunity. (Over the next few months, WC qualifiers would be looking for games).
5. All the minute steps forward would be meaningless unless the administration (whichever survives this normalization process) gets serious about working for the issues of the country and not for self-gratification and personal gain.
6. Get the local league up and running soo the local players get some game fitness.
7. Stop this local players vs foreign players bs and select the best available players, whether foreign or local.

Go Warriors!

L. Diaz of Colombia will probably be the player of the tournament. Not sure what club he plays for but his stock certainly went up! Some fascinating goals including last nights winner over Peru in the dying seconds.

Porto, but not for long.....

Huge news!

Yes. But I hope you ain't implying that it is a benefit for us? We haven't played the new Curacao with the introduction of top flight Dutch boys. I was hoping to see this game. But it is what it is.

So once we have a higher goals for than El Salvador, we can pull a tie and qualify.. Not sure if that really proves or tests the team. However as the saying goes, "we go take dat".

Yeah, this could either way....i too was curious to see how we match up vs Kluivert side but that said, Guat fear us from long time, but this is a different TT side.  No easy games in this GC especially with where our football is, so let's see...give it your all guys...is all you can do

I want to believe replacements en route to Dallas already and Eve is just keeping this close to his vest...no brainer that these injured guys cannot play 3 games in a week.  No mention of Levi or Bateau above but clearly we will need our best available player pool

Muckette is a great player (wow, smh) You guys not easy... I don't agree with the change by substituting Hyland for Muckette. Muckette is not a defensive midfielder. plz look at the game again

Yeah, not like for like, muckette remind me of riquelme...

Anybody knows if T&T is allowed to call up any new players for these upcomnig GC games?

....
Was wondering the same thing....would be good if Levi and Bateau can be in the mix (if avail)

you and me both. sulking over Belgium right now, can’t stand the spaghetti boys. hoping they don’t go all the way.

Yeah, ah wanted this Belgian team to win it all, for men like Lukaku, Hazard and the speedy Doku....but this Italy side is very good...don't see anyone stopping them unless they don't show up
