Darrel clearly is not in shape as evidenced by his 22+ 200m in Florida last month. Thes 10.4s and 10.5s he's running cannot surprise anyone if he can't break 22 over 200m. Conditioning is waaay off. Let's see how much he can improve by before Trials
Who is he being coached by in the States?
So we have a stadium named Manny Ramjohn and we hosting Manny Ramjohn Memorial Invitational Games at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, which will not be sold out anyway so why didn't they keep it at the Manny Ramjohn then ? and is his name Manny or Mannie ?
Manny Ramjohn Memorial Games on April 22
Thursday, April 12 2012
A large contingent of foreign-based track and field athletes will return to Trinidad and Tobago for the annual Manny Ramjohn Memorial Invitational Games, which races off at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, on April 22.
Local male and female athletes expected to be a part of this year’s proceedings are Keston Bledman (100/200m), Jehue Gordon (400m/hurdles), Emmanuel Callender (100m), Aaron Armstrong (100/200m), Mikel Thomas (110m hurdles), Kamaria Durant (200m), Chelsea Charles (4x400m) and Kernesha Spann (400m hurdles). These top locals among others will compete for honours against a lengthy list of international competitors.
Athletes will be coming in from 13 countries such as the USA, Canada, Bahamas, Kenya, Ivory Coast, US Virgin Island, Barbados, Jamaica, Nigeria, Dominica, Guyana, Puerto Rico and St Kitts/Nevis. There will be a general entrance fee of $40 for adults and $10 for children. For more information on the meet, contact the chairman of the organising committee Jim Clarke at 684-1512.
It may only be a sub Caribbean TF meet but this is the premier junior meet in the Caribbean after High School champs in Jamaica. There's so much history- The Iaaf president likened it to the World Champs- SO many athletes get picked out to go to the USA to train just from here.
I think because we were so far away from Bermuda it would have proved costly to send a large squad.
Horrible, horrible day for T&T. I think T&T got 4 medals. NO gold! I guess this is what happens when a team of 44 athletes is sent. Dont expect T&T to improve on last year. This is shaping to be the worst Carifta ever for T&T. At this rate.... 20 medals max.
Good luck to the athletes!
Why can't they name the athlete and get over with it. Is it because of the upcoming Olimpics.? Is it Richard?
Is it the same cold medication that AB took. For m what I heard it would just be a warning so what is the problem , people fail to remember that the current world champion Yohan Blake was warned for a similar infraction, also Olympic champion Shelly ann Fraser, so are we just blowing this out of proportion
John Mark Constantine Falcon games TobagoMany thanks Jason23!http://www.youtube.com/v/z-5jGshmfCg
John Mark looked good in lane 5!
He always seems to get a rocket start and then the others are left to catch up if they can!!
Looks like John Mark clocked about 10.6s in that race!
Next time please also give us the age group, official windspeed and times clocked by at least the first 3 finishers in the race.
And does anyone know what is John Mark's official 100m PB right now?
Many thanks
