Football / Re: T&T v Slovenia friendly
« on: May 29, 2006, 04:02:19 AM »
Well, one of the goalkeepers seems to play in Fürth (SpVgg Greuther Fürth).
Fürth is a small city next to Nuremberg. Greuter Fürth is playing in the 2. Bundesliga and failed the 1. Bundesliga (sort of Premier League) again this year.
Slovenia (was part of former Jugsolavia) is a small country, next to Austria but might be an interesting game.

I keep my fingers crossed for TnT. Hope to see you all in Nuremberg

2006 World Cup - Germany / Re: Accomodation In Dortmund & Nuremberg
« on: May 27, 2006, 03:37:05 PM »
If you are still searching for accomodation in Nuremberg contact me. A friend of mine is renting out serviced apartments. Walking distance to the stadium only 10 - 15 minutes. Underground close by.
The apartments have a bathroom and kitchen. If you want to know more about it send me an email. Nuremberg is worth a visit. We will have a lot of parties here.

2006 World Cup - Germany / is that true???
« on: April 03, 2006, 09:01:46 AM »
I just read an article on

www.karibik-journal.de from 2.4.2006

They are writing that because of flooding the socawarriors will not stay in Rotenburg but in Ellwangen.
I am not sure if that is true. Does anybody have information on that?

Thanx

2006 World Cup - Germany / Re: Frankenstadion renamed
« on: March 21, 2006, 01:40:40 AM »
That`s right. It was a big discussion here. Anyhow the train-station (S-Bahn) will still be named "Frankenstadion". That is what the Deutsche Bahn announced.
By the way the city of Nuremberg will have a big festival not far away from the stadium where people can also watch the games on big screens. There will also be a lot of stalls and place for lime and wine.
Hope to meet you there. Everything will take place at the so called "Volksfestplatz"

I am not sure if you will find it on the international site of ebay but if you click www.ebay.de
and then click community
then you will see the message from 17.3.2006

I really think it is great. The big event is planned in Düsseldorf and they will have a special internet page. This should start in April. Also Meet and Greet and other things like that seems to be in the pipeline.

I cannot wait!!!

2006 World Cup - Germany / Re: Where R U Staying for Each Game?
« on: February 20, 2006, 05:02:04 AM »
I anybody interested in staying in an serviced apartment in Nuremberg. Up to 6 can stay there and the price is ok (maybe 50 Euro p.p.)
Kitchen and cable TV is in every apartment available.
If interested I can give you the contact. They have as far as I know three apartments they are renting out and they are all in walking distance from the stadium.
I am from Nuremberg so if you need any information contact me. As far as I hve heard there are planned parties as well. Nuremberg is cool anyhow. Stay here if you can. Only 2,5 hours by car from FRA and maybe 5 from Dortmund. There are also daily flights from NUE airport and the train connections are good too.
