what can i say, no loyalty from a bunch of wannabe footballers but never good enough, now you spend time critising those who can!  You may be 'hero' warriors but more like grumpy old men! Cant be bothered with your negativity for a player dedicated to T&T, he gonna wash wash wash all those worries away!

I think there's a bit of mis-communication here. The overwhelming majority of people on the forum recognize Birchall's importance.

Football / Did anyone see the banner (and reaction) at the Newcastle game?
« on: September 15, 2008, 12:37:28 PM »
Given the situatoin with Newcastle and the glaring ineptitude of thier management, the fans brought out a few banners. This was perhaps the best one.

When the banner came out, it appears that all of the VIP's as well as board members vacated their seats except one man (Mike Ashley I think). The commentators certainly had a go at it.

What if there was a similiar banner at the next Trinidad & Tobago game?

True. Making post expressing feelings and concerns is good. The only thing is you have to come to this site to view them. You are right, organization is the key. Choose a day, any day. Make that the "action day". Start a thread with people who on that day arecommitted to  bombarding the TTFF offices though all media available. Jam the phone lines, keep a steady stream of faxes coming out of the machine and fill the ttff e-mail linbox with dozens of messages until doing the most simple of tasks becomes difficult for them.In essence, take the fight to them.

5
Exactly.....the more people that do it the better it will be. I can't do it alone.....collectively we can, and given all of the other options I think this is the most active response with minimal physical effort.

6
Strategically I think our options are limited, but tactically I think we can cause some discomfort. Personally, I think bombarding the TTFF with faxes, e-mails and phone calls is a good start. There are excellent posts which highlight every issue ranging from the text messages to player selection. Since I am at the office this weekend, I am going to send dozens of these posts via fax. In fact I think I will make it part of my daily routine. Collectively I think we can create a stir in the TTFF office.

Football / What action can we take against the administration and Maturana?

Given the dismal performance by Trinidad in the last game and the lack of profesionalism by TTFF administration and staff what can we do to put pressure on them?

Please mention the good he has done and rate each act on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most generous, unselfish act imaginable to Trinidad and Tobago football.

Par meaning some sort of an equilibrium that balances good with bad. As it is for Jack, the bad deeds significantly outweighs the "good deeds".I believe the average person is above par meaning that their good outweighs their bad..As we all know, he is well beneath par.

Football / Can Jack Warner redeem himself?
« on: July 23, 2008, 08:35:45 AM »
There is no doubt that the name Jack Waner evokes emotion from Trinidad & Tobago football fans. I think that everyone on this forum can investigate the man and his deeds and arrive at an appropriate conclusion. Personally I agree with Marc Anthony's assesment of men and their deeds in that, "the evil that men do live after them, the good is oft interred in their bones". Given all of the negative things Jack has been a part of, I believe his legacy will always be enveloped in in a cloud of doubt and suspicion. What I would like to know is if there is any way for Jack to redeem himself. Given all of the negative things that have occurred, does anyone think there is a way for him to bring himself back up to par? Suppose one day he awoke and had an epiphany, what would he have to do? I do not think he can redeem himself, but I would like to gauge the forums response.

Well said.Birchall has a solid foundation. He does not strike me as being a timid player and a good coach will be able to fine-tune the areas he may be lacking in.I hope there is someone in the current national setup who can do this b/c his ability to shoot from distance and be very successful at it will be a terrible thing to waste.

I guess it is a matter or preference. Birchall has shown that he can score goals in a remarkable manner. It takes a confident person to shoot from outside the 18 and not slice the ball wayyyy to the left or right. With a little more time and some good coaching, there is no doubt that his game will improve even more.

It is all quite obvious. FIFA elections are coming up. Jack Warner’s actions have shone a little more light on FIFA “business” than Sepp Blatter would like. Simply put, Jack is on Sepp’s blacklist and will be replaced by another “yes man”. Google Jack Warner and see what happens. All of this talk about Jack being good is simply an attempt to win a few fans after Sepp kicks him out…..just like Ismail Bhamjee (ex-President of the Botswana Football Association and Honorary FIFA member)

P.S. Ismail was fired for selling 12 (only 12) tickets at three times their face value for the Tinidad vs England WC game. Jack’s future is in doubt.

Change is inevitable.Every article on blacklisted players, every post and every piece of media attention (no matter how small) caused change.

Perhaps i'll delete this from youtube.....or leave it as a solemn reminder

Good observation on the Marxian bit as it is primarily a basis or analyzing the conflicts between the powerful and the subjugated. I hope my sentiments are not misconstrued with communism as the two are different. I could not help but identify stunning similarities between Marxist theory and the current situation. (i.e. exploitation, alienation, base and superstructure, class consciousness, the proletariat and bourgeoisie etc). I do not subscribe to the theory but rather view the theory and its inception as proof that through struggle and conflict, change is possible; struggle and conflict can be a useful catalyst. I am not filled with empty rhetoric. I am working on bigger things (not another video). The video was jus the beginning.

I hear what you are saying West Coast and to be honest I partially agree with you. Apathy and disenfranchisement are huge obstacles to overcome. As a student of history I am obliged to believe that every Caesar thought they would reign supreme and untouched, seemingly invulnerable to outside forces. Things never turned out well for them. The key is organization of the masses. Ideas become ideologies and then lead to change. This is merely the tip of the iceberg. Maybe nothing will happen....but no man is an island. If Jack is the architect, he must have support. "Place doubt in a shaky mind and suspicion spreads like blood across the tip of a blade". Who in the TTFF is going to take the fall for Jack? Anton, Alvin, Lincoln.... I find it hard to believe they are naive enough to think that no one will be caught. Jack is Sepp's buddy. Can the rest of them boast about that? Jack knows Sepp's little secrets and will have leverage. What leverage does the TTFF have over Jack. Probably none. Think of all the little accounting practices they might not have covered sufficiently because they became complacent and lulled into a false sense of security. It might not be instantaneous but maybe this is the foundation for something much bigger. Then again, you could be right.....this may amount to nothing.

It is interesting that you are asking questions. After all, that is the point. Do you think that he got away with the ticket scandal? Maybe if you're interest has been peaked you can google it and see all the articles that come up from reputable sources. Have you ever heard about Jack Warner and the Scottish FA? Maybe you can research that as well. Then you will delve deeper into the psyche of Jack Warner. Here's a little extra from another source:

Part 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqxMdTSSxZg

Part 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvPpY8X4U60&feature=related

Be objective. But my goals is this.....for people to start asking questions.
