The chemistry of this team still needs work but individually they are better than Bermuda. Which means nothing because its Bermuda. 8 years ago we would have demolished them. Their game has risen dramatically. Us....not so much. If by some miracle they actually qualify they could be decent at full strength if handled properly.
AGREED 100% They need to step up BIG TIME vs CR on Wednesday in very HOSTILE stadium...and we should be aiming to score as many goals as possible TODAY because goal-difference could be a factor

Flex with Sheldon Phillips out I suggest liasing with either the Senior team manager William Wallace or David Muhammed...and the earlier the better...this is a BIG game with ESPN/FOX etc likely to be covering...I am willing to assist in this from down here so just let me know what you need.

That 1st half was a joy to watch! I cannot remember the last time I saw a T&T team start so quick off the blocks!!! I worried if we could sustain it, and while we did fade a bit in the second half overall I am satisfied with the performance. Coach Hart is a BOSS!! He clearly did his research and prepared our team well...Mexico already showing their pedigree hammering Cuba4-0 up to last score so I'm glad we face them last as we get another match on Sunday for our Warriors to better gel as a unit before the acid test next week!

Team played well, dominating for most portions of the game that I managed to see...the stream was poor so hard to give a proper report but I DO know Winchester scored our 1st goal and #18 scored a brace...other goals came from #12 and #17, sorry I don't know who's no is which player and jerseys didn't carry names, so best I could do

« on: January 21, 2015, 02:19:52 PM »
Operative word is if.....had you thought that the team was good enough you wouldn't be using "if". Just like most of our national teams this team is ill-prepared.
Good luck today guys.

We have never beaten USA at this level.

They won 5 and draw once.

Romain Gall of Columbus Crew can score.

Actually we HAVE beaten the US at U-20 level 1-0 off a goal from Jerron Nixon when we qualified for Portugal 1990

Also USA drew with Guatemala so the group TIGHT, we REALLY needed to win last night but if we can beat Aruba by more than the 4 Panama put past them and hopefully NOT concede either as I think goal-difference is going to be a BIG factor in the end. We play the US LAST, hopefully they won't need a result against us by then, but as it stands now we need to make up ground against Panama

Football / Re: Should Stephen Hart quit T&T?
« on: November 21, 2014, 05:11:25 AM »
I vote he stays...but under the right circumstances, meaning the TTFA must take care of his needs, and NOT just financially, but with a proper schedule of matches against quality opposition, ensure access to players, have training camps, staff and players must be paid on time and proper arrangements for their  comfort too. This is the first time in a long while that I have seen a T&T team show continuous improvement and there is evidence of team cohesion. I would hate to see all the progress we have made under SH lost by his departure and I hope he stays, but will respect his decision to leave if his needs as Coach are not being met by the TTFA.

POTENTIALLY the next "Tallest"

Finally some GOOD news for me this week! Keep it up T&T!!! I know the match being played at a new venue, but when last we ever win IN Ja?

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association today announced at a Press Conference that the November 19th Friendly International against Jamaica at the Hasely Crawford Stadium will see two of this country's 2006 World Cup team members recalled to the current senior team for a send off in front of the home fans.. Christopher Birchall and Carlos Edwards will be added to the Squad and local fans will have their opportunity to say thank you to the two stalwarts for their services to the country. Birchall has officially announced his retirement from the international game while Edwards has hinted his intentions.
Coops you're wrong on this one buddy. When David Nakhid had a testimonial match it was in an International friendly vs South Africa (although he came out of retirement to play in the 2006 qualifiers) and when Russell Latapy had a testimonial in was in our last local warm-up match here in T&T before the 2006 World Cup (although he too later came out of retirement to play in the 2010 qualifiers). So based on precedent Testimonial matches have been traditionally International friendlies
Also, given that BOTH men quoted came out of retirement after their testimonial matches, chances are we may yet see Birchall play for T&T again ;D Carlos hasn't "officially" called it a day yet and I'm pretty sure if Russia 2018 campaign lookin good he will offer himself. PATRIOT out! Peace

Was at the game...disappointing performance and disappointing turn-out...WConnection should have won 2-0...same striker threw away a sitter, then then an easy 1 on 1 with the keeper, wouldn't want to be him in that dressing room tonight, nuff cuss will pass...agree not enough urgency showed by players...a couple players impressed me though, Connection #6 and #3...also peeps who went COVERED for $150 you got a chit-sheet (like in all-inclusive) for 2 doubles, a (mini)BakenShark, Corn Soup, 2 Shandi or Beer and a bottle water... so I was happy, didn't have to worry about dinner afterwards lol

would have been my highlight for de night  :beermug:
It would have been except for some nice "Scenery" in the stands :)
