Latapy is backroom quality at best should have etched out a long term role as a player/technical development trainer/coach a long time ago, he better at imparting knowledge with he feet than anyting else........ might have learnt more about actual management and tactics with more time in the background instead he has become a bit of joke,

I spoke to former high school football and youth team coach Mike Grayson. He told me that we spinning top in mud when it comes to girls/female sports. Girls football development is negligible at best. He said TT girls need to start at primary school level. Most don't. By the time they reach high school, they are now playing catch up to their peers. Unless they seriously start, football, TF, basketball, netball at primary school, we are not going anywhere fast. You could blame KJ all you want, he can't coach them girls to the level as those other countries. They are way behind.

I agree with this fully

I have never seen a  girls team at youth level look so bad ..... this has to be a coaching issue
yeah well if we only want to appoint "coaches" who doh know how to turn girls into competent athletes how we expecting dem to shape competent footballers....we have national teams full ah girl who still fluttering about "limp wristed" barely able to keep d ball against teams with girls who sprinting full send with d ball fully in control :cursing:

they looked competent man, I like that the runs and positional awareness was on point, most notably they ALL looked like proper athletes and not just "girls" trying to play ball, sumting I have always wanted to see from us......want to see them against competent opposition though, Turks was clearly ah "pick up side", it does worry mih dat these teams does only come out to make up numbers and doh actually develop, which would in turn MAYBE push our development to ah nex level and not jus artificially inflate we ego jus to get it crush jus one step up d totem

We exist to push their development; other teams exist to propel ours. That stated, the result does not signify that TCI is not developing. Rather, consider it a snapshot of where they are in the process. Different trajectories on each water-surrounded landmass.

It is important that all of these teams participate. Not to mention individual talent would be sacrificed if they did not.

nah I want dem to participate ah jus want dem to be ah challenge too

If we walked away from that match with inflated egos then we are dumber than rocks.

I meant broadly across this and similar regional opposition certain types of fans see these kinda results as what should always happen in the region and anyting less is failure.......I jus feel we will grow better and faster with ah more challenging region to compete with, is all :-\

There were several goals with lots of commendable virtues among the 13 - especially more than one assisted by Kedie Johnson whose fluency with the ball will surely ultimately deliver her to a Starting XI role consistently.

Tough decision, but decision made. Best goal: Cecily Stoute.

some more takeaways even though Guyana had us under pressure they could have easily lost this game if wasn't for some last minute defending on ah couple of occasions, d Ref rigid interpretation of d tackle for d Guyana pen was unfortunate dat wasn't ah foul d player was taken in d follow through not d first contact......knew exactly where d pen was going too d taker didn't do much to disguise it.....Levi is ah decent false 9.......Dennis had ah good idea by playing Levi as ah striker, he jus play him as d d wrong type.........False 9 suits Levi a lot more than winger, better fit for his mentality and approach...........even though he a lot less selfish now
So why clubs developed & play him as a winger then ?

um he inverts a lot for his club so it's pretty similar...........he was drifting into wide areas for us in these games, and creating room for others with his inside/out running the dude is not a "traditional" winger in Greece either he does traditional winger things but he is ah wide/inside forward mostly there is ah lil difference

Add: He can also play "for himself" more to our benefit than he would otherwise as a winger......IMHO

Unlike the Barbados game where they score 9 goal, this one was very competitive. This game was a good game for TT, win, draw or loss. It showed we not there yet. We have a lot of work to do. I am glad Guyana had us on the back foot.

Levi had a penalty saved, then the keeper save a header from the corner originating from the penalty, which caused another corner; that Levi scored; 1-1...guyana dominated; we only played decent in the last 15 minutes and created good chances. Doesn't seem like there is good comradery; and I don't understands Eve's tactics in making such late subs with players that was playing level tata; powder being a big one, and I cant remember the other fella name, but he plays in USL, a shortman

getting back sumting after suffering and not playing well for ah long period.........this is good......we move

honestly speaking guys...this Guyana team had me thinking we were playing against the team that gonna win the World Cup in Qatar. They literally have us on the back foot for extended periods, creating more chances, corners etc.. We cant string passes together in the midfield, yet alone getting into the final 3rd...Guyana is dominating us, the only player that making any sort of impact is Levi Garcia and Aubrey David

this is good, the regional teams have to challenge or we jus spinning top in mud.......fed up ah padding GD and feelin good jus to get bent over by CA and NA teams.

this good and it end 1-1 we move

I didn't see the match. But when it's at high altitude and the need oxygen, you really can't expect much.

What you expected ?? be upset at the health bloody minister and that CMO .. you having save zone fete but cannot have football ?This is how the sport is treated ...

dude we holding a low block and man was gettin stepped pass like dey not dey, I agree with yuh point re: facilitating some proper arrangement for training and prep and d gov't seeming lack of interest but d manner in which Bolivia broke our lines with d space available was scary. we not fit enough to step across 3ft to give we self ah better chance of defending d situation ??? there wasn' even "tired effort" in some ah dem goal........I didn' come with no high expectation or rose coloured glasses......I knew going in we were more than likely going to lose

Mexico is the only team that is guarantied a spot the other 2.5 spots is up for grabs.
Canada Honduras U S A will battle it out for the other spots with Costa Rica and Panama with a outside chance of taking a spot.
El Salvador coach has added some American steal to El Salvador but he has taken away there attacking flair they are going to struggle to score goals.
Once Jamaica and TT continue to hire a bunch of local coach's they will never qualify for a WC

When did they have that?

come now seeker :shameonyou: don't you know that any country the even close enough to smell d air in Argentina and Brazil have attacking flair.....I cry :shameonyou: good sir

Sando, I used to talk to the late Coops(Kenwyn Cooper). He coached the TT national in one of these Shell Cup and I think they won. He told me that he liked this tournament because it gave the younger players exposure. As a matter of fact they have lost some of the tournaments by using the B team. He was under no illusions that being Caribbean champion made them ready for the Central Americans. He bemoan the fact that they could not get some of the top English teams that used to come in the 60s and give us a run for we money. He would have liked to get South American opposition sometimes, but TTFA always had "other" plans. Which led to nowhere.

I think Eve's inclination towards pragmatism caused him to lose very "gettable" points in the end though he would still got fair showing out of the team not good but fair, Fenwick's style and temperament just does not suit this team, result aside, If you looked with an unbiased eye yuh could kinda see "sumting" coming together......kinda....still think he needs to be braver, but yuh could kinda see "sumting", whether it real or mirage should be tested, IMHO, can't say that I could see "sumting" with Fenwick results aside, d players seemed uninterested or a little annoyed on d few occasions yuh could judge facial expressions from d footage of games, dat cyah be ah good sign
whether itís fenwick, fister or hart, these lads want a friend to pat them on the back, not a coach to prepare them to play for their country. I want to know were they disinterested playing for lawrence as well thus the reason they lost 17 games in succession? this international football is not about some prima donnas coming together to lime with the boys and hustle some match fees and head back to their clubs, this is about pride in the uniform. just look at quoto, Quintero and zardes how those guys go out and kill themselves for the shirt, you think they give a damn about whoís coaching them? no, itís all about the shirt and the fans who travel thousands of miles to see them play. our lads could give less than a damn about that ttfa logo on their uniform, or the flag for that matter, in fact itís all about them.

in the absolute beginning no maybe not, as tings progress yes, Trinis have fragile sensibilities, annoyingly so, for d most part, Trinis unfortunately like winners and "advantage ting" so Lawrence's collapse to abject failure would have lead to d same said loss of confidence/interest, with Hart it was blatant undermining by d new Admin to get local club players in the team even though it had been proven time and time again dat dem fellas couldn' deal with d pace required by Hart.

did Eve fail, yes, can dat failure be interpreted as abject?, eye of d beholder ting dat, but as I said, I could kinda see "sumting" dey, for whatever dat is worth, can I be proven wrong? yes.....but at dis stage ah willing to find out.
