Alan Cabral and he twin brother Colin went CIC from 81 to 86. Not sure what de odds are of 2 Alan Cabral in Trini. Dey had some older brothers that went CIC too( glen and ??) so ah doubt it was a senior and junior thing

Yeah I grew up with Alan and Colin, they had two older brothers Glen and Dirk and a younger sister. Dunno if Glen or Dirk played for CIC and I never saw them play. But Alan and Colin played all the time in a park in Diego Martin. Colin was/is a very decent player with a lot of heart and passion, my guess is if he did play for CIC, it may have been for the second eleven team...lol but honestly, Colin was more on gyuals than football.

FYI, their cousin - Shane Correia - did play 1st eleven for CIC in the 90s though.

This is interesting...I am wondering if this team was attached to the "Casuals Club" that existed around the QP Savannah back in the 80's? I use to go there as a kid with friends who are actually related to the Cabral's. Ring a bell for anyone?

Miguel Mitchell - St. Anthony's College

Cyah remember the year though...he should have gone on to bigger things.

There was also a Carrington (cyah remember his first name..maybe "Kirk") who played for CIC in the midfield...de man make the passing game look sooo easy, he reminded me a lil of Rijkard.

My two cents

Gents!

At the end of the day...Dwight demonstrates the ultimate technique of shielding the ball when in possession. "Harkes" give some kukos to Dwighty tonight...dee man have some good genes fellas.

BUT!, what's most important of a great player iz how easy he makes it look!

Last time I see ah man in the college's league show any little reflection of that was Miguel Mitchell (St.Anthonys vs QRC)

Nuff respect to the "Yokre!"

Owww!

ACL and MCL...damn, I am presently recovering from similar injuries and ah could testify that it not easy. Rehab work before and after the operation is vital for full recovery.

Its been around 4 months now since my surgery and although i can walk and do a slow jog, there are still spots around my knee that are still somewhat numb to the touch.

Hard luck there KJ ah feeling it for yuh dread...positive vibes!

Where did you get the england game???

I wonder how much higher he would be if he started and stayed in Britain instead of Portugal cause Yorkie at #11. Nice to see that legacy being recognized.

I wonder how much higher he would have gone if Alex Mc hadn't moved to rangers!
Seems like every time Latas got into a top flight club was always a manager that that
 ended his potential sucess.

My 2-cents

Colvin Hutchinson
Terry St. Louis
Kerry Jamerson

There was a youth from St. Anthonys decades ago that I thought had real promise - Miguel Mitchel

From the other side of the pond, I feel Kieran Richardson is underrated and should be in the England squad.

My 2-cents

Cheers

Really? when were these men ever underrated or unappreciated. Those I have spoken to, have the highest regard for them.

St. Louis used to coast a lil too much scene but HIGHLY talented. Woulda make today's side with only one testicle and one eye.

I would have to say John Granville, Maurice Alibey and perhaps White Boy (Birchall). People just seemed to overs de man after the WC, like we have that much defensive mdfld talent that know how to cross and shoot from the outside?

Peace,
VB

VB.

I should have been clearer, I meant underrated and underestimated from an international club perspective. I am sure they all had the respect of their peers.

As far as I know though, Kerry never got the opportunity for an international contract and Colvin was one of the first few men from the Strike Squad to get trials in England which didn't pan out. If I am missing information on these two let me know.

I didn't know Terry was a a big "coaster"...you think that (and that alone) sank his international career?

Granville in this present time in TnT football would have been an international for sure (yuh went back far there boy!)

Birchall - YES! I agree with yuh there.

However..."Maurice Alibey"?! Yuh let meh down with that one dread...he was talented, but only as far as savanna football. De man had nuff chances to leave a mark, but in the end (in my opinion) became a big joke in that squad...maybe just one level above Philbert (throw away) Jones.

Elliot Allen was another name I was trying to remember with my first post.
