About the dutch
I thought we already had the group of death at worldcup !
now we have france italy and romania haha
vBasten already says he will stop right after euro2008
Dutch big newspaper says that the new dutch coach is one of the following 4:
Frank Rijkaard (FC Barcelona)
Bert van Marwijk (Feyenoord)
Fred Rutten (FC Twente)
Co Adriaanse (Al Sadd).

Not really the magnificent 4 in my book.

but Guus Hiddink is making too much euro's in Russia
Louis vGaal can't leave to do Holland ( contract says he can only leave to a foreign national team)
Beenhakker is doing Poland but perhaps he will do Belgium
I rather see the following 4 on the shortlist:

1)Luiz Felipe Scolari  or Jurgen Klingsman
2)Foppe deHaan
3)Mourinho

Rijkaard I don't think so, why would he really want to do that ?
He might move to Milan one day but I'm not so sure about his relationship with Berlusconi, perhaps Berlusconi preffers vBasten. ( I think)
then Koeman might finally reach Barca.
I hope Hiddink will do Holland one more time after he goes with Russia to wc2010, so from 2010 till 2014

I think it is but touches third pic certainly is not that must be Lindsay Chanel ( model ).
very pretty girl Lindsay, should stop biting her nails.
spannish press says he will make 82 millones de euros por cinco temporadas. (82 mil euro for 5 years)
# Lo que supone 45.500 euros... al día.  ( 45500 euro a day!)
look like he is sold his brother and manager says:

Roberto de Assís destacó que el delantero azulgrana "está muy bien, muy tranquilo", que tiene una "relación fantástica" con el Barcelona y un contrato hasta 2010. Sin embargo, no descarta ningún desenlace, porque "cada miércoles y cada domingo se escribe otra historia y todo cambia muy rápido en el fútbol".

Looks like Roberto wants to move to London too.

Warner fights back in Fifa row :challenge:
By David Bond
(Filed: 16/09/2006)

Fifa were last night rocked by a series of explosive counter-claims by under-fire vice-president Jack Warner after he was accused of profiteering from the illegal sale of black market World Cup tickets.
advertisement

An investigation by the auditors, Ernst and Young, claims to have unearthed proof that Warner, a member of the Fifa executive committee, and his son Daryan set up secret deals worth millions of pounds.

However, Warner hit back at yesterday's meeting of the Fifa executive committee in Zurich, presenting the results of an investigation by a former US federal prosecutor which not only rubbishes the Ernst and Young findings but goes on to accuse senior Fifa officials of trying to frame him.

The Daily Telegraph has seen a leaked copy of the report by John P Collins, a respected American lawyer who sits on Fifa's legal committee.

The report, which was handed to members of Fifa's executive committee late on Thursday night, also details evidence of a potentially damaging rift between Warner and Fifa general secretary Urs Linsi — two of the most powerful figures in world football.

In one letter from Warner to Linsi, dated Sept 10, he accuses him of being "hostile" and issuing "veiled threats" over his role with the Simpaul Travel Company and their purchase of World Cup tickets.

The Collins report goes on to claim that Ernst and Young's investigation was "fatally flawed" and was "based upon incomplete information and contains erroneous conclusions".

Despite the report by Collins, Warner knows he faces a major fight for his future. He made an impassioned plea to his fellow committee members yesterday and Fifa have now decided to set up a new inquiry into the controversy by an independent disciplinary committee.

It could have deep ramifications not only for Warner but for the future of Fifa, as the Collins report goes way beyond trying to defend his reputation against the latest claims over his conduct. The report goes on to raise "serious issues for Fifa and how it conducts its business".

Sebastian Coe, the shock choice to head Fifa's ethics commission to fight corruption in the game, will be relieved that the new watchdogs have not been asked to take on what is certain to become a messy political squabble.

At the heart of the controversy is an invoice for World Cup tickets purportedly ordered by Warner and worth €29,820 (£20,082).

Payment Report 20,605 is at the centre of the allegations made by Ernst and Young. It appears to be the only evidence of a direct link between Warner and the purchase of tickets which, it is claimed, ended up being sold above face value on the black market. The document purports to outline the number of tickets that Warner apparently ordered for nine World Cup matches, including England's group game against Sweden in Cologne on June 20. The invoice also includes a credit card payment form, which has not been signed.

The most recent of two Ernst and Young reports, dated July 8, says the claims against Warner came to light after a Swiss ticket agent, named Antonio Gallicchio, reported that a batch of tickets he had ordered for Switzerland's games against Togo and Korea had been sourced directly from Fifa headquarters on June 14.

Ernst and Young traced some of the tickets he had received back to Warner, claiming Payment Report 20,605 proved that Warner had ordered and paid for the tickets himself.

But, according to the John P Collins report presented to the executive committee yesterday, Warner only agreed to pay for the batch of tickets after Jaime Byrom, the joint head of the World Cup tickets office, had demanded payment.

The Collins report claims Warner's son had already settled the bill for those tickets in cash two weeks earlier. He says that Warner was immediately refunded the money he had paid on his credit card in cash once the mistake had been spotted.

Collins not only raises question marks over the use of the credit card slip signed by Warner as evidence against him but amazingly goes on to suggest that it was a part of a plot to entrap him. Collins writes: "The E&Y [Ernst and Young] letter was issued on July 8, 2006. The issuance of the letter on this date seems more dubious than coincidental.

"The only conclusion is that the E&Y letter had been substantially drafted and the 'conclusions' reached before Jack Warner had signed that document."

The allegation will place Linsi under intense pressure as the man responsible for World Cup ticketing and for appointing Ernst and Young as auditors to stamp out any wrongdoing.

Warner maintains throughout the Collins report that he did not break any rules over the purchase of World Cup tickets and that he has severed all links to Simpaul, the Trinidad-based travel company run by Daryan. The company have an official Fifa licence to sell World Cup tickets. Earlier this year, Warner was forced to distance himself from Simpaul after he was found guilty of a conflict of interest by the Fifa ethics committee. He and his wife sold all their shares in the firm.

Fifa's disciplinary committee now face the difficult task of picking their way through these conflicting accounts but, with Fifa president Sepp Blatter reliant on Warner's support in next year's elections, it looks as if Linsi is instead facing a fight for his future as general secretary.

How does he keep those 35 happy ?
35 can become 34 or 30  less, perhaps Haiti isn't very pleased how they were treated last time.

Did you ever asked yourself how much that costs.

Liverpool are believed to be close to clinching the signing of Dutch international Dirk Kuyt.

Reports emanating from Holland claim Liverpool have won the race for the Feyenoord striker.

The Reds are believed to have beaten Newcastle to the punch for Kuyt even though Magpies boss Glenn Roeder was in Dublin on Wednesday to watch the payer in action for Holland.

Kuyt's future has been the subject of intense speculation all summer with a number of top clubs across Europe expressing an interest in signing him.

Liverpool are reported to have agreed a fee with Feyenoord for Kuyt and the Dutch club have given them permission to open talks with the prolific forward.

Kuyt is expected to arrive on Merseyside on Thursday to open talks and undergo a medical.

The former Utrecht man has hinted that he is close to sealing a move with Liverpool his preferred destination.

"There are a few clubs interested - but only one is my dream club," Kuyt told Sky Sports News.

"I don't want to say anything about that - but I think we can say more in a few days."

Liverpool could offer Dutch defender Jan Kromkamp as a makeweight in the deal with the player seemingly surplus to requirements to Anfield.

The FA Cup holders could also help fund the deal by selling Florent Sinama Pongolle to Lyon.

Lyon boss Gerard Houllier is a big fan of Pongolle having signed him when he was in charge of Liverpool and is considering bringing him back to France. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=410337&CPID=8&clid=14&lid=4163&title=Reds+to+land+Kuyt

well yeah
he is just amazing
look at the stats:

SC Heerenveen   15 (17)
Ajax Amsterdam    15 (16)

That is 40 goals in one season for 2 different teams ( 33 for just the dutch competition) !!
Further partly thanks to him we won UEFA under 21, Bergkamp or vBasten never won that one.
Just exiting when you see his touch & true killer instinct.

On top of this he is a real nice guy.
And he wasn't even such a high flyer in his early youth.
Its great to be Ajax supporter in 2006 with Hunter & Stam. :)
Can't wait for the 31'st to come.

Well the man DOING the bizness as we speak.........HE done SCORE 2 goals....Nedrlans leading 3-0

He made today 2 goals and 2 assits ( so that is 4:0 ;))
Not sure if Ajax is able to hold him, we aren't at the 31st of august yet.
Just keeping fingers crossed that there isn't a major bid like in the 20-25 mil. pounds region.
I think he will brake Rooney's record.

The real reason is that Birchall playin fuh T&T would more than likely mean he would on national duty much more than Claude Davis.  T&T bein a WC team etc would more than likely have many more quality games to play than Jamaica.

Ent RF?

When Jose Pekerman or Fop De Hanha take over the national TD Job for US$3M per year, you think he will be sitting around in Kingston twiddling his thumbs? We will be playing abeating teams like Brazil and The Netherlands with great regularity.   >:(

RF,

I was wondering is the Jamaica FF in a healthier state then that TTFF ?
Are there competent people running it ?
I don't know but would like to get informed.
Foppe de Haan could never work in Trinidad with a JW.
Just impossible, you need a 'bit of a jerk' that has ''seen it all" like Leo.
(I don't mean that bad I think he is a great trainer and was a perfect match with T&T incl. JW ;))
Perhaps Arie Haan or Co Adriaanse could get something done.. but Foppe ?
Na, but I'm wondering if your federation has better people.
Seems like Trinidad is moving 10 years back in football development,

After being unable to sign several forward targets, Portsmouth have changed tack and are offering a deal to Kanu, who left West Bromwich Albion at the end of last season. Harry Redknapp, the Portsmouth manager, has dismissed his chances of signing Diego Forlán, of Villarreal and formerly with Manchester United, and Klaas Jan Huntelaar, of Ajax.

Hé Pompey,

Is this still news in your city ?
I don't think ( and hope) that the HUNT will sign with
Portsmouth. 10 million pounds sounds way too low anyway.
GET FORLAN ;)

Today's hot-off-the-press transfer rumours. Some spot on. A few still in the balance. Others best taken with the proverbial pinch of salt.

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has been told he must stump up £10 million for Ajax's hotshot frontman Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

Redknapp wants the Dutchman as a replacement for the club's record signing Benjani Mwaruwari who is on his way to French side St Etienne after just six months in the Premiership. Diego Forlan is another striker being linked with a move to Fratton Park.

Football / Re: England too cocky
« on: August 15, 2006, 04:14:53 PM »
the comments about the wink are true, the England players didn;t see that until after the game, but with the same respect, I can;t believe the referee saw the stamp on carvalho, I think he sent Rooney off for the push of Ronaldo and then changed his mind. But none of it matters now, it;s all history.

I still believe England had the players, not nexessarily in the squad, but available for selection, to win the world cup. We didn;t because we had a poor manager who selected the wrong squad and tried to make amends by playing a system that did not work.

That along with the fact that no English players, with the exception of Hargreaves, played anything like as well as they can. but, as I said, it's all history now.

I think it is something else that made it really hard for England to win this WC.
I think they are like the dutch 10 years ago, the worlds worst penalty takers.
From now on after losing 3 penalties shootouts in a row they will take it finally serious.
Just like the other top countries that know what it takes to get in the finals( Brazil,France,Italy Argentina and of course Germany) But for the UK it will take a new generation to become good at this, since you need to start early preparing them on good penalties.
Of course you could win a WC without any penalty shootout, but this is difficult to achieve and knowing your opponent is better at it also doesn't help to play good in the last quarter.
Just like the Portuguese said they could see the fear in the UK players eyes, by then you already lost on penalties. So the UK should be OK in 2014 or 2018.
Here in Holland the under 25 are also much better at it then the old boys.\
Well, this is what I think about the UK team

Its says that M v Bommel & R v Nistelrooy can from now on forget about the dutch team under Marco.
vBasten preffers the following:

goal: Van der Sar, Timmer
defense: Ooijer, Mathijsen, Heitinga, Emanuelson, De Cler en Jaliens.
midfield: Landzaat, Sneijder, Van der Vaart, De Jong en Schaars.
attack: Huntelaar, Robben, Van Persie, Kuyt en Vennegoor of Hesselink.

so he says the change is small they will ever return in the dutch national team.

keep in mind that: Khalid Boulahrouz and Giovanni van Bronckhorst are suspended.
Also Maduro is not called since they want him to rest ( he is still growing )
I'm happy for Huntelaar, did you see him score twice against Copenhagen, exactly he scored twice from the 2 changes he got. 100 % effective !!

here is more info, but it seems that the international press is only mentioning Ruud and not to vBommel. http://www.ireland.com/sports/soccer/2006/0811/1155291263109.html

(2) in spain they have a group of racist fans (e.g. Atletico madrid)

However, in every country they have a group of racist assholes...yuh can't judge de whole of Spain based on dese assholes, and say that Spain should be banned from de next world cup...steups....I think Fifa should try to do something to prevent this shit from happening again though but we all know Fifa is a bunch of political spineless idiots

I was unaware that there is such a thing as a "natural trinidadian game"..... I have seen our tactics and style change from coach to coach.... can you explian what our natural game looks like?
Quote

hoss, i talking bout individual play, u reach on d team... trinidadians usualy tend to like d ball at their feet, to run at defenders.. look at how both dwight and stern's game changed when dey played in england... steups.. the prem only allows wingers ( which luckily carlos is ) to really run a t ppl... every thing else is quick passing and hard running and ting....

I kinda see what you mean, but we need more help techinically, as a team and especially as individuals.... And there is no better place than England to learn as grown professional (as a youth Holland and South America). Look at Carlos for all great attributes he has, he still not a great crosser of the ball, that man could run at defenders in any league, but I fail to see what you learn by doing that.... Yes Ronaldinho needs to be in La Liga, not Carlos! WHY? Becuase Ronaldinho has all the tools at his disposal already, he needs an open platform to utilize them.... Our players in general are lacking those those fundamental tools... And i am not talking about "beats".... is de Trapping , crossing, positioning, heading, fitness, passing, toughness and speed, i does worry about...... I agree that La liga is more beautiful to watch, but I don't think it's necessarily better for a players development!

As far as the English game curbing players from running at defences, i've got a couple names for you:

Henry
Pires
Yakubu
Bent
Roberts
Rooney
Hasselbaink
Keane
Pires
Owen
Cahill

Don't agree all the way
Look what vPersie & Fabregas  learn at Arsenal
You CAN learn in England
just book with the gunners
