Whose position would you rather be in right now?  Guatemala ot Trinidad's?

I say Trinidad.  We have Panama in Panama and Mexico at home long after they have already qualified.

Guatemala has a wicked game against Mexico in AZTECA next.  Already qualify or not La Volpe job is currently on the line, so they going to go all out to put in a good performance and beat Guatemala.  Their last game is Costa Rica in Saprissa.  They are Central American rivals and would like nothing more than to send Guatemala home crying.

So relax.

The next game, even bigger than the Guatemala home game we had, is the Panama away fixture.  That is a MUST WIN.  I do not expect that Guatemala will get any points in Azteca.  We will then be two points ahead of Guatemala with one game left.  As I said before, CR will go all out to send their rivals home crying (as we would love to do to Jamaica given the same situation) and we have to hold serve against a comfortable Mexico.

We Will Do It.

It is a marathon.  Not a sprint.

hate to tell you this but Mexico will not be playing La azteca and the coach said he will be veiwing the game in the skybox/ and Guatemala will have all thier  bigs guns who where missingin the last 2games

marquez out on suspensions

so Mexico will proably go with a home based squad with proably less fans than there last matchin a  much smaller stadium then the azteca
mexico fans call it a b squad its not officially a b squad if it was Mexico would of been out of the WC, its just not there top players playing, they are allowed to rest players or call up who ever  as long as there citizen of that country

Guatemala
will have their full squad toghther including dwight pezzarossi( missed allmost every quailfer expect the first two vs Panama,T&T,,)and Carlos Ruiz( served his suspensions missing the game Vs usa), and will call up there top defender luis swisher from the polish premier leauge( hasn't played any games in the HEX because he refused to play but know likes there chances)

this game could go all 3 ways tie lost or win for both teams but Mex coach even said he will be taking a vacation after they quailfy to WC

and this should be guatemala Best team in the whole hex for the both games vs CRC and MEX

Panama vs TT

TT should have most of there squad
pressure is on guatemala is ahead a pt  and if they somehow win vs MEX there pride factor will come in at TT last game
will lapaty be called up again?
possible injuries during club play?
very inconsistent even with there top 11 all togheter not very lucky on the road either

Panama
possibly will rollover and die  there is no way to classify not even 4th
or will play there last Home game with pride and make up for the bad results
key loses ricardo phillips good winger won't hurt there attack

panama should at least grab a pt
but if they don't they really gave this one away there morale has dropped tremendously after the Gold cup

Trini boss real confident . i am anticpating a result. in my honest opinion on how the first the 5mins go it could go either way you guys score a goal you might ride it for 90mins if they score first you might see the fustrated  T&T try to level the game out.

I know Central American footbal very well espcially Guatemalan i live 30 Mins from the guatemala border and we get thier games. There National squad is Basesd of player from there coutry powerhouse Municipal bancafe who is all the current UNCAF champions beating the Sapprisa of Costa rica,

that being said there pedigree of football is much superior than trinidad local football
not only that there midfield have more chemistry being very home based and having time together i saw the panama vs guatemala game  this is not the Gold cup squad they sent this a much more tighther marking squad , they held the ball in the panama's  goal area 64% area and attack the hell out of it.
That Ruiz fella is in top form but he is Much more than Dwight ( yes i said dwight yorke) he can put em away in da air and the ground  he can do it against  tall jamaican backs ( 3 times )
 but you should be lucky that dwight pezzarossi is not playing there the guates consistent player in europe and he put those two rockets behind shaka hislop,

i know T&T has a lot of great over sea players, but do the peaces fit? is lapaty  fit to play International football?guatemala has plenty of players over seas and 1 defender in poland's top flight( is not playing)
this is not like road to france 98 this country is 12 million deep and football mad. they have lots of good prospect in the states just like Trinidad has in the UK

all im saying is dont doubt the guatemalan midgets good luck i will be hoping for clean, well offciated match.
