Is you son 14-18 years old and interested in playing in Portugal?

Train with former Portugese & Arsenal FC standout, Luis Boa Morte, and earn the chance to get a tryout with the youth academy of Sporting Club De Portugal.

Are you 15, 16 or 17 years old? Do you think you have what it takes to play in the top leagues in Europe? Are you willing to prove that you are?

I am close friends with a mate who coached top division in Bulgaria, Turkey and 3rd liga Germany. He is close friends with an scout from FC Twente, whom is putting together a showcase in June, this year.

FC Twente plays in the Dutch Eredivisie (currently 2nd), is looking for good young players and develops them into young pros.

If interested, please PM me.

He is resting now and should be back to full recovery!

Watching a game between Atlanta Silverbacks coached by Brian Haynes against FCEdmonton with Carlyle Mitchell.

Look nah sometimes we are hard on our pro league on TNT but you know the stands is not packed here but they do have a few give ways and promotional events.

The level of play is comparable to our pro league from what I have seen.
I would think our best pro league team. Could hold their own in this league .

Of course the stands not pack.....(1) the game was played in Edmonton (a team that finish bottom table and then dead last 2011 and 2012 respectively). Yet, they not going to have 50 people watching a game.....(2) these two teams are two of the weaker teams in the league and don't usually have big support. Atlanta and Edmonton does swap last place positions every year. Although this season they have had a better start. You ever went down Carolina and take in Railhawks? Or even San Antonio (although this season they flat like a pan cake)? Sold out games.

The top team in Pro League can surely hold their own in the NASL. Without question (in my opinion). The difference however is consistency and efficiency.

Yes Terry have his UEFA 'A' License, but I really meant the TTFF National team coaches. Sorry for not being specific.

I would really like to see where we as far as coaching education is concerned.

Lester Peltier better fix he attitude and fast, he is a good player who we may never see play for T&T again, and both parties will sorry one day, no winners here.

Ah woulda like to see Rundell Winchester, Robert Primus, Julius James, Willis Plaza and Mekeil Williams get a call up.

But other than that, nice team. Glad Kenwyne Jones not there.

Rundell Winchester will make a good player upfront because we tin up there. He and Glen will combine very good.

Sammy, surely!!! Julius James. I don't understand why the man only getting overlooked. He has been a defensive stalwart in the MLS and yet he hardly been called up.

The Winchester fella good...not sure if I would call him up for these friendlies tho, since they using it to look at players for the gold cup squad. Maybe start him off with the U-23.

BTW - I ain't care what alyuh say lol Kenwyne HAVE to be in that gold cup squad.

Of all the Trinidad & Tobago coaches (U-15 upward), does anyone of them hold a 'A' license? If yes, who?
(Besides Anton Corneal)

I recognized that the TTFF don't offer the 'B' license or higher (only up to 'C' and the waiting list for that long from now until god come).

Can anyone shed some light?

Football / Re: Peltier: I have no attitude problem.
« on: May 09, 2013, 08:15:57 AM »

Sam, I hearing what you saying my friend. But the reality of it is, Dwight and Latas were stars....exceptional players....known worldwide.

Yes they break camp...party.....deal with girls....take money from Jack...etc...but at the end of the day, they stepped on the field and dealt with the game. That's what stars do.

Listen.....Samuel Eto have 4 or 5 children with 4 or 5 different woman.....he is a known womaniser.....Ronaldinho is a party animal and a womaniser.........Maradona did cocaine for breakfast.....Mario just a nut case....Zlatan does tell coaches whatever on his mind (good or bad)...the list goes on and on.....but one thing these guys have in common is that they are superstars and get the job done when called upon. Peltier ain't no star.

You also mentioned about Shabazz and Hudson can't coach. Maybe you right, maybe you wrong. But I believe there are two principles Peltier should take into consideration...understanding and respect.

Look, if I'm working in JP Morgan and I am used to my company doing things a certain way. Then I leave and go IMG and things are done differently....I can't just open my mouth and say things anyhow and to anyone. I have to first understand why IMG do things that way and then respect it (I don't have to agree with it).

I do however have a choice (1) I can stay and accept what they do (2) Or I can leave and go back JP Morgan.

In Peltier's case, he needs international caps to move up the ladder to a proper European league. So be smart, use the national team...get your caps and international experience....when you get to the EPL or La Liga or where ever, then you can open your mouth.

Now because he "voice his opinion" as  asylumseeker said he is entitled too, he has to pray and hope the National team give him a 2nd chance.

Darryl Roberts play in the Eredivisie....Carlos playing in championship.....why the National team coaches not saying these players have attitude problems? Peltier say things are done differently where he plays, but I am 100% certain that things were done 100 times more professional in the leagues Darryl and Carlos played/playing than the league Peltier is playing in.

Both Carlos and Darryl both know the TTFF in a state now (that's understanding part) and they choose to accept it and play for Trinidad (respect part).

I always heard the saying "shut your mouth and let people like you."

Peltier should probably do the same.

You are NOT in a place where you can open your mouth and say anything. Dwight Yorke could open his mouth (he was at Man Utd and one of the best strikers in the World at one point)......Russel Latapy could open his mouth because he was regarded as one of the best midfielders in Concacaf (by the highly rated Mexicans) and also played at top Scottish clubs........Kenwyne Jones (EPL player) can open his open....Stern John (former EPL player and T&T all time leading goal scorer) could open his mouth......but Lester Peltier, you don't have that type of right just yet.

Why?

First off, you play in Solvakia my brother.....Solvakia!! A European league that is not even ranked TOP 15 in Europe. Second, you have done nothing for Trinidad national team......you scored a couple goals in your domestic league (which in all fairness to you is great, because it means you are heading in the right direction)......no one knows of you on the European stage or simply even in Concacaf.

But my advice to you is to respect the coaches of Trinidad national team and just shut up and play when you get the chance. When you start bussing a goal a game for Trinidad and move to a better/more respected league....then of course my friend, you go right ahead and open fire!

You are talented, but not a star.

Talent can take you places that character CAN'T keep you.

Hey my name is Jason Akal. I live in the USA but always dreamed to play for my country. Who would I have to talk to in order for me to get more information? Me and my brother want to come down, tryout out and help TT go back to the world cup!!!

Don't waste your time youth. You might as well go and plant peas in Tobago.

The fact of the matter is, Trinidad football just not in a good state right now for you to even risk spending your mother's hard earn money on a cheap Caribbean Airlines flight to Trinidad to tryout.

As you found out yourself, you can't even find relevant information online. This says a lot by itself.

Anton was one of many that wanted Jack out of TTFF. Now that Jack is gone, he (Jack) will try his best to ensure that TTFF crumbles and burns under the Anton regime.

This is really unfortunate. We (TTFF) really was never properly funded, well organized and truly professional organization. Now, with this current situation, Trinidad football is now 300 and dipping.

LOL

EDIT: I wonder if they could beat we?

The level in the Oceania region is quite poor. I see there games very often (U-23 & Senior teams).

Generally, New Zealand dominates that region but even they too are not strong.

Here are some highlights from the game. It looks like the game was high tempo and sharp from the youtube but if you saw the entire game it was like watching paint dry. Although, there are some individual talent on these teams.

Molino with a nice build up and then with the return, scored a diving header to tie up the game (1-1) in the 54th.

This guy should be playing for a bigger team.

All this time I thought Orlando was in de NASL with Puerto Rico and dem. Me eh know is an even lower division

NASL and USL pro is the same level of football. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE (in players or level of play).

Unfortunately, the US soccer federation sanction USL as the 3rd division; a decision that was made mainly on financial reasons.

I have been working with Andi Sullivan since she was 12 years old. Hard working player, glad to see her on the score sheet. On the flip side, why do we go from 1-0 at the half to 4-0 second half? smh

We were VERY lucky to come out with a tie. You know they say in football, even the best teams need some luck. I think we had our share against Panama. The referee called back a goal against us that would have put Panama 2 goals up....Winchester had a 1st touch of a rhino that ended up as a goal. We would surely need to get our acts together going into the Honduras game.

Kudos to the T&T defenders; they were hard working and determined.

And why Ave have to tell reports his plans or intentions in different game scenarios?

Not looking for excuses but Leston Paul, Hyland and Robert Primus were missed. ...These 3 players would have made a HUGE difference.

Mexico is a world class team...no questions about that. But at the end of the day, 7 goals in an Olympic qualifier is TOTALLY unacceptable.

Kingman

23
...No offence, but isn't there a glaring contradiction in a member club of a league which includes the word "Development" in its name signing a near-forty-year old player?...

It is normal for PDL teams to sign older more experience players that can positively influence the team and younger players.

Fredericksburg as in Virginia?

Yes, approximately 1 hour (+ or -) from Washington, DC.

I think they used to be called the gunners not too long ago and had a pretty decent team.

Anyways, keep kicking Wise. Congrats!

Sam, Fenwick holds a UEFA 'A' license.

But, we both know Trinidad will never put him in any position to coach ANY national team.

Stuart Charles got his chance already too and he failed. He is also not a 'local' product. Have St Lucia ever went to a Gold Cup? Have St Lucia ever won a Caribbean Cup? Have St Lucia ever went to a World Cup? Have St  Lucia ever produced a world class player/s?

Charles can go back to St Lucia for all I care.

I think Anton is the most 'qualified' coach to fit several key coaching positions in Trinidad and Tobago.

If I am not mistaken, he holds a USSF "A" License, National "Y" License, NSCAA Advance or Premier Diploma and had several decent coaching experiences (community college coach etc) in the United States before returning home. So as far as licenses is concerned, he is the most qualified local product we have (I think). Hence, I understand the reasoning behind his selection.

Digressing a bit, we have coaches in the professional league that coach top teams but don't even have their 'C' license or just acquired it. Of course Anton will get the notch over them when it comes to selection (not to mention, he is the only coach that is given all the coaching opportunities so his resume continues to become "decorated").

However, Anton has failed many times when it comes to coaching for Trinidad. As you mentioned in the article, the U-17 qualified for the WC kind courtesy the help of Leo. This is no secret.

Also, there is going to be blatant shifts in the selection process now.  Obviously the head coach depends on the local staff to help in the selection process of players. We will now see players that have been ignored under other coaches, now back in the mix. Is this a good thing? Maybe....maybe not?

Let's see what's the outcome of this.

I don't want to believe that there are coaches in the Pro league without a C license? smh

Poor shooting and finishing sums up the score line.

The young warriors earn about 3 free kicks right outside the 18 yard....3 corners back to back at one point and we did not make one count? Not to mention when we shoot, 95% was off target. Everybody wants power, no finesse.

Crossing was poor, even though we only had 2-3 or them (2nd half).

Technique Technique Technique......smh.

The one game that we should have won, we gave away points.

Anyways, on the next one.

The biggest mistake for JP is when they took Tinto and Yu off in the 62nd minute at the same time.

- Not sure if Tinto was tired but he surely adds spark to the team. He torments the San Juan defenders but his ability to cross consistently lets him down sometimes. Maybe he was injured? IDK

- Yu is the ONLY player on JP that was keeping the ball and they took him off. What had me mind boggled was the fact that JP likes to keep the ball by finding players feet. Therefore, why take off the ONLY player that helps the team do that the best?

When both players were taken out, JP fell apart. There was NO spark and they had problems keeping the ball. I didn't understand it but the results showed.

All credit to San Juan though, there defense looked solid and very organized.

Overall, both teams showed POOR signs of professionalism. Players attitude on the field (towards their teammates and coaches) are PISS POOR. It was sad to see; but things can only get better (I hope?).

Anyways, good game San Juan. All the best moving forward.
