Alyuh know what Auditing is???

Auditors provide reasonable assuarance that the financial statements are in accordance with GAAP. The key words are REASONABLE ASSURANCE.

Also, auditors have a level of misstatement that is allowed
e.g If a firm dealing with 10 million in revenue, the auditor may have his threshold at 50 000 to 75 000. If the mistatements fall between or under that figure, he not going to press management of the company about it, unless the auditor real anal.

KPMG is one of the big 4 accounting firms... yuh really feel dealing with up TTFF is going to dirty their name???

Because the TTFF have no shareholders or likely investors, is not like the TTFF going to press the auditors for the Audit report.

I suppose the motion too. now when I home and have to travel, PH/H.. it doh matter to be. But I think what the authorities trying to do is really attack lawlessness. If it is a law, it should be enforced. talk done.

Doh gimmie no poor man trying to feed family bullshit...
Yuh want to feed yuh family, go and convert yuh car from P to H.
As someone said before, if you get in an accident. I hope yuh going to feed yuh passengers and their families when they cyah work.

PH car working small routes like- La Puerta or River estate and blue basin is one thing, but running town to diego or san juan. nah.....

St. Anthony's 02 team was playing like a ranked NCAA Div 1 team. Was a serious bomb squad.

I eh no bout that.  It eh have no high school team, none in trini that beating a ranked NCAA Div 1 team.  Not happening...

But each and every player from that squad either play college ball or in the national set up now. from the keeper-( Jan Michael Williams) to the subs. It would be hard to find a player from that team that didnt go to college for ball or otherwise. That team was assembled and created eh. Just like a college team. In the starting line up, I think maybe 1 or2 persons orginally from the school.

ok...let me start addressing the anthony's issue
the 97 anthony's team i believe had carlos..they had win intercol...knockout qrc in the semis
that year north zone had three bess squads
compre had glen and had win north zone
anthony's had carlos
and qrc win big seven with men like sobers, duane campbell (throw way the penalty in intercol for us to lose), marco elcock, rudy rudder that side was arguably QRCs best in recent years altho the 2003 squad might have sumtin to say..

the 2002 anthony's squad was an advantage side tho...that side hit qrc 8 home AND away - i was so glad i had stay home both days then
that side had kenwyne, julius, khalil mathura, roderick anthony, steve sealy, christopher sam..they had so much players neaves used to ride pine all kinda thing...they hit p/town 6 in the intercol final that year
the 2003 side wasn't as dred but similarly impressive...for the entire season that side lost twice...to QRC..once at QRC...the other time in the North Zone Intercol final... Anthony's came back to knock us out in national semis with a golden goal...
that QRC squad had simba aberdeen, aldo hope, radanfah abu bakr, jason devenish, mikhail awai and thorne holder and richard 'torpedo' thompson..it was the only team that could have stood up to that anthony's team....

i can't really pick between those squads...
but intercol has not been the same since that 2003...
btw the black man pull it off yes...

That 2002 Tigers yuh talkin bout. Mathura was never on that side. Mathura is a CIC player. That team had Cabral and Chin Sang on the bench ( men who grovner coach from young) it was Stevie, Ian Mc auley, kenwyne, neaves ( never use to bench) Anthony on the right and  benito (from trinity) and trim, J james and Yohance Marshall. It also had small small and rhal other players who use to come on and the game never drop. That qrc side had nuthn on that team. the only team that was close was malick with Tinto.

Another good side was 98 Fatima..  Gibbings had just leave to go st anthony's.. It had stevie, FF, Brent Radix, Stoute, bosierre, JP and Marlon Rojas. I think it had a lee sing on that team too.

The compre with glenn too.. that team was good. I think that is when the school now start to get money from sponsers.. willies ice cream sponsor they uniforms...

8

Gary Glasgow was the main striker for that team.
I was telling everybody who wanted to listen that the team would not get past Haiti from early on primarily because I saw Haiti U21 destroy the U21 squad in the Larry Gomes.

All this bull shyte talk about Anton and allyuh forgetting he was Wim assistant also.

but fishs.. We beat Haiti in the group stage 2-1 0r 3-1 or something like that.. That is when they put scott to sitdown..

9
Controversial

That digicel team was not that bad for a mostly local squad. I remember Scott Sealy came, played the first match and then none after. K Baptiste and he yellow boots only want to beat. Tinto played alright
Theobald tried to play the Yorke roleHardest play alright.Glasgow throw way too many goals in that tournament.

What I remember most is Daryl tho. Played well every time he was on the field. So I would like to know why you said a weak forward line??? The forward line was not the best, but it wasn't "weak".

Being new to the board and being a lurker for several years I've noticed that many posters tend to forget that anton corneal is at the head of the selection of the team, with the blessings of jw. It is because of him, players like pacheco, noray, tinto, sancho, dwarika, theobald, jemmott, josh johnson and many others who are not in his biased list, can't see a national call up. Under Wim many players got a chance for the digicel, he may not have been a great coach in terms of giving the locals a fair assesment, or boosting their self esteem but he picked better teams locally and gave many locals a chance, under corneal, he picks players who he favours, which more than often is not based on skill or talent, but on who he likes personally.

We as supporters then blame maturana who is not even responsible for the selection of the team, nobody has asked the question as to whether maturana has ever attended a local pfl match or super league match, maybe I'm wrong but I have never read about it. He really doesn't need to because Corneal picks the team and knows what he wants, not what is best for T&T football.

conTroversIal, welcome to the board. that last line seem to sum it up. if corneal has become indispensable (like jack), then sadly the players have to follow suit. what setup you have in mind where players could be selected without "bias"?

change the assistant coach, its as simple as that, when wim was in charge, corneal had to take a back seat, only with regards to the blacklist of the foreign based, was the only time wim's selection power was diminished. Otherwise, it is clear that a neutral party who takes interest in the local game will see the best players, wim did this, thats why the players mentioned above got a chance, even the likes of errol mcfarlane was also given a shot at the forward position.

Im not saying wim was the ideal coach or instilled confidence in the local players but at least he picked the best available, we reached the digicel final with a weak backline and forward line, the midfield was the only plus, but now we can't even see those players on the national team, namely because corneal's power has been strengthened.

I remember lisana liburd, keith smith and many others highlighting the play of the midfield during the last digicel cup and theat if the blacklist were to end, with the best local based, we would have a very strong squad, up to now, i haven't seen the strongest side stand up, corneal has made them sit down or get out.

Which digicel was this???? Could you list the team??

O’Farrell Included in T & T Team for Return Leg in Brazil
Oct.15.2008

Brendan O'Farrell makes his return to the T&T team for the 2011 Rugby World Cup qualifier return leg against Brazil in Sao Paulo.

O'Farrell the influential fly half was unavailable for T&T's first leg game at Larry Gomes Stadium last Saturday when the Calypso Warriors were trounced 31-8 by the South Americans.

T&T flew out this morning for Brazil determined to rebound on Saturday. However the Caribbean champions will need to win by 23 clear points to advance to the next round of competition.

TTRFU President, Leslie Figaro, who will travel to Brazil to witness the game said he is confident that the T&T players will put aside last Saturday's lackluster display and show the strength of character needed to secure the margin of victory required to negate Brazil's 31-8 first leg win.

The T&T team travelling to Brazil :

Adam Fredricks    S elwyn St. Bernard      Brendan O’Farrell
Wayne Kelly     Damian Martinez                Dexter Snaggs
Don Rojas               Felician Guerra                   Greame Alkins
James Walklin     Jason Clark                            Kelson Figaro
Kidane Silverthorn    Kirk Aanensen               Kirk Quashie
Kurt Quashie             Miguel Lara            Nigel Arismandez
Jonathan O’Connor    Samuel Roberts          Peter Bacchus

Any man who play at any decent level know that if you are on a yellow card, you can't a tackle like that on a man in the corner a few minutes after you just get the card. You are taking a huge chance. Yes, on all the replays we all see that he got ball. But I for one thought that he was in trouble when he pelt the tackle. You are playing away, You have to be disciplined. Dem spanish trying to get you sent off.
Nah the referee was not up to mark but Cyd let we down.

  :applause: :applause:
It was a good tackle. But why would he take that chance. He done on a yellow. Doh fly down in the corner.
The ref wasnt good. So Cyd didnt notice that??? If yuh know the ref questionable, doh give him a reason to send yuh off?? Think.  plus,We only know is a good tackle cause we see the replays.

T&T ready for Brazil
Tuesday, October 7th 2008

TRINIDAD and Tobago rugby coach Rhett Chee Ping is confident the national team is ready for Brazil as the T&T Rugby Football Union (TTRFU) selected a 26-member squad for the crucial second round 2011 Rugby World Cup qualifying clash.

T&T, Caribbean rugby champions, will play Brazil from 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar, Arima

Chee Ping said the T&T team, which includes three UK-based players, is very focused.

"On the day, it is up to the players. IÂ have done everything possible to prepare them," he declared. "I expect them to complete the job."

British-based Selwyn St Bernard, Damian Martinez and Nigel Arismendez are in the national line-up,  which will be captained by Adam Fredericks.

The T&T squad was to train last night at the match venue and will practice again tomorrow from 7 p.m.

TTRFU selection committee chairman Curtis Nero said: "It is never an easy task selecting a team from a squad where all the players have worked hard, with tremendous commitment, dedication and camaraderie.

"In the end, the selectors had to make decisions on the basis of the game plan. The team selected will be reviewed following the first leg. All the players involved in the training squad understand that the selection process is ongoing and changes can be made," Nero added.

T&T Squad: Adam Fredericks (Captain), Jonathan O'Connor, Kirk Quashie, Kurt Quashie, Miguel Lara, Samuel Roberts, Jason Clark, Graeme Alkins, Abdeel Giles, Peter Bacchus, Don Rojas, Wayne Kelly, James Walkin, Dexter Snaggs, Ade Innis-King, Andrew Crooks, Adam Seedansingh, Kirk Aanensen, Kidane Silverthorn, Abdre Cabrera, Carlton Felix, Felician Guerra, Kelson Figaro, Selwyn St Bernard, Damian Martinez, Nigel Arismendez

Rhett Chee Ping (coach), Blane Chee Ping, Ian Parry, Dave May (assistant coaches), Rajesh Dharrie-Maharaj (physio), Curtis Nero (manager

Let dem go way with that shit.  Same thing they used to do on President's Ground with Rangers.  We used to have to compete with dem for space, and they used to act like they were some kind of elite.  Who vex, vex.  How many people really going out to look at a Rugby World Cup qualifier?  No disrespect, but we know which sport is the bigger draw.  Leh dem go in the Oval.  At the same time, the TTFF REALLY needs to sort out their choice of venues for international games.

Yuh saying that, but rugby have 4000 5000 players and supporters.....

Football have a set of waggonist.. so how yuh go say thing.

QRC venue for crucial T&T/Brazil Rugby World Cup game
Sep.05.2008

Trinidad and Tobago and Brazil will play their crucial 2011 Rugby World Cup first leg qualifier at the QRC Grounds in Port.of.Spain .

Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Football Union (TTRFU) president Leslie Figaro said that local rugby had run out of options and fortunately QRC came to the rescue .

The TTTRU had made a booking in July for the use of the Hasely Crawford Stadium on Saturday 11 October but with T&T playing a FIFA 2010 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday 14 October uncertainty arose as to the status of the TTRFU's request .

Fatima College the venue for the 1996 Brazil v T&T Rugby World Cup game ,which T&T won 46 -0, has a Inter col game scheduled for the 11th October .St Marys College ground site for the prestigious Carib Beer International 7s rugby tournament also has an Inter col football game carded for the day of the Rugby World Cup qualifier.

"It is not about right or wrong,it is about what is in the best interest of sport and the image of the country.I am disappointed by the way the Stadium has handled the matter. But both the T&T national football and rugby teams have all important World Cup games "said Figaro

It would be the first time an international rugby game will be played at the historic local landmark.

Figaro,a QRC past student and senior executive at WASA, said that the TTRFU will ensure that the QRC ground meets the IRB/RWC guidelines needed to pass the Match Commissioner's evaluation.

The local governing body for rugby will be extending invitations to a number of local dignitaries including the President of the Republic George Maxwell Richards and the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs,Gary Hunt.

"It will be a grand occasion for local rugby and we (TTRFU) have an obligation to make sure the T&T team has the inspiration, support and atmosphere they need to give of their best"

Figaro revealed that the TTRFU had hoped to make the game available on the Internet via streaming but that and other innovative marketing and media coverage plans now had to be put on hold as the QRC venue does not have the modern and world class amenities as the Hasely Crawford.

"We had targeted a crowd of 3 -4000 based on certain strategic marketing plans but our plans will have to be altered. But the most important aspect is T&T winning the game." added Figaro.

The local rugby chief urged the public ,media and corporate T&T to appreciate the fact that although less popular than football. The T&T national rugby team needs the support of the nation in the "Calypso/Samba" rugby match up.

that team jersey number thing is ah serious ting...

it might sound trivial to a casual observer, but that team number scene have massive implications..

from the team perspective, what does it say that a player can come into a team and demand whichever number he chooses? it sends a statement to the rest of the squad that one player is bigger than the team, which is not good for team ethic..

from the individual perspective, sometimes a player has grown so used to a team number that he cannot envision himself playing without it and there are the mental repercussions..

I with Seedorf on this one.. Players have came to clubs at the top of their game and had to simmer down and subscribe to the team.. Ronaldo had to go with a 1+9 on his jersey when he wanted his number 9.. Beckham couldn't take the 7 off Raul back.. no player is bigger than the team.

let dinho relax heself and hold ah twenty something.

Number is a big thing but some players go hold they corner till it come to them.. That is what Seedorf did. He wanted 10 and Rui costa was on the side so he hold he corner.... Ronaldo, when he went to Inter wanted the 9.. He start off with 10 and finally get the 9.( Zamarano had it and they allowed him to wear a 1+8 on his back). I believe to some players, it bigger than others...

I see man in the savannah get vex if they cyah get they number.. telling coach to tell that man take off he number ..

kiffy... yuh good.. you actually taking on this man..

He trying to make people laugh. Leave him let him make a spectacle of himself. The man step up for WC, Gold cup and the Digicel in 2006.
He talk about failed trials, but most of our footballer fail trials. That does not mean they not talented or skillful. It means the coaches looking for something else.

I feel is jealously. After all, he was part of the Under 17 and 23 set up. So, unless you are currently competing with Theobald, stop crying down the man and make good points nah. Say " he doh turn good, or he doh distribute.   The only point yuh have is that he hand over the armband.

« on: July 15, 2008, 03:30:41 PM »
from Ac milan website:
RONALDINHO: A.C.MILAN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
7/15/2008
AC Milan and FC Barcelona have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ronaldinho to the Rossoneri's club. Tomorrow the player will be in Milan for the medical and to sign the contract which will tie him to Milan until June 30th 2011.

 and from BBC:

Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho will sign for AC Milan on Wednesday, according to the Italian giants.

"AC Milan and Barcelona have reached an agreement in principle over the transfer of Ronaldinho," the Italian club said on their website.

"The player will be in Milan on Wednesday to undergo a medical and sign a contract that will keep him at Milan until 30 June 2011."

Manchester City had also bid for the 28-year-old Brazilian.

City appeared favourites to sign Ronaldinho from the Nou Camp outfit after reportedly tabling a £25.5m bid.

But Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported on its website that Milan will pay Spanish side Barcelona just £14.6m for his services, with the figure likely to be increased by performance-related bonuses.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty

Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has been in Barcelona for talks with the club and the player for two days.

The two-time Fifa World Player of the Year's time at Barcelona effectively came to an end in June when new manager Pep Guardiola announced the playmaker was surplus to requirements.

Nevertheless, the Catalans were not prepared to release Ronaldinho to join Dunga's Brazil squad for next month's Beijing Olympics.

Ronaldinho helped Barcelona win back-to-back Spanish league titles (2004-05, 2005-06) and the Champions League in 2006, but failed to cement a regular place in the starting XI last season because of injury and fitness issues.
