Football / T&T matches in the UK
« on: September 23, 2005, 10:13:31 AM »
Jamaica (can I mention them on here?) play some home games at Loftus Road (QPR's ground in London), and Norway have held squad get-togethers in Blackburn, England.

So, bearing that in mind, and seeing how many British-based players you seem to have in your squad, have T&T ever considered staging a 'home' friendly in England?

Cheers fellas,

We've got Coxy too, yes, I forgot about him.  He's been very poor lately and Sancho should replace him at centre half now after his immense performance against Pompey.

We're 20th now, but we're rebuilding from scratch after two shocking seasons saw us relegated from the Championship to League One.  The gaffer knows what he's doing and we'll be climbing the table before long.  Not sure if we're quite good enough to go up, but then again, I've not seen anyone to be afraid of yet, either.

Hope you guys get the result you need against Panama in a couple of weeks.  As you're probably well aware, the knives are out for Sven after England lost to Northern Ireland.  Hopefully, the players will be more committed to the cause for our next round of games and we can get through.

PS: I've not a clue when it comes to Trini-slang, so I'll have to pick it up as I go along...

Seeing as we've got one of your very own Socawarriors in our side, I thought I'd better sign up here and see just how much YOU rate the cult hero that is Brent Sancho.

He played right back for his first couple of games, but on Tuesday night against Portsmouth in the Carling Cup he moved inside to centre half and looked absolute class.  Neither of the two pens given against him were justified.  TV pics show he made a textbook sliding tackle for the first one - and the second one was a clear dive (from my seat in the stand) by Todorov.  What goes around comes around though and the big-toothed striker put the pen wide anyway.

Sancho arrived with rave reviews from Dundee fans and he's quickly becoming a bit of a hero at Priestfield now, too.  He's probably my favourite player - and wouldn't it be great to see Brent and T&T taking on the world (and England, hopefully!) at the World Cup in Germany.  Just make sure you qualify, OK  ;)
