all i have to say is this:

we are all just fans, we do nothing that directly affects the team and how they play, maybe if we are actually at each game screaming our heads off.
BUT
buying a shirt and backing "ah bess side" doesnt give ANY of us the right to shit on another human being for solely backing another side.
be it banter or picong should remain team/player/manager focused and NOT directed at the supporter.

the quicker we realise this and do not engage tollerate and teach the younger one how to be real FOOTBALL fans the more fun we will have. now i a man cant take talk about his sides performance thats his problem and should take up golf

just remember, nothing lasts forever, manu fans in particular will find that lesson the hardest to learn simpy because of the great heights they have been lifted to by thier manager and the players he controlled NOT by wearing a shirt and shouting glory glory man united. i have alwayssaid i like manu the club an drespect thie rachievements i do not like how thier fans treat other supporters of other clubs. wlcome to the beginning of the end of an era

Kos was boss per growth slipped a lil
santos was a new man second half
song consitent
ramsey played he socks off
gervinho tracking back worked his socks off too
theo like the man take the pill in that movie limitless
cheezey was himself big loud cocky and made some fine free kick saves
rosicky came on and wante dpiece of the action
i havent seen this team play this hungry since the invincibles

Anyway fellas just wanted to give my 15 cents on what happened yesterday and why I am excited about this team.
Namely the upside for this team, this team has not reached it potential yet this season we haven't played our best team yet. We scored 5 but conceded 3 defensively the first half was crap but the second half showed a marked improvement.

Vermalean is back and despite the injuries he in my opinion may be the best sweeper in the league and the fact that our defense is improving and 'Kos' is playing out of his mind means we can slowly nurse him back.  Ultimately, the pairing that Arsene always wanted in the middle was Kos and Vermalean and right now that is a frightening prospect.

Walcott seems to be regaining his confidence a bit, but a one off game won't sell me on the youth but dammit he is fast! I saw him outrun Ashley Cole ... and ashley cole is not slow at all ... when he contributes like he did today we're a totally different animal.... long may it continue he's even working back defensively.

Aaron Ramsey did ok today and he seems to be finding form and that is def not bad plus with Rosicky snapping at his heels he cant f**k around  (Personally with Rosicky's form I'd start him or at least rotate them in every other game). He did miss some passes today for RVP that I know Cesc would have nailed but its asking too much to expect that of him Cesc is one of the best in the world to accomodate him barca has even moved Iniesta to the wing ... go figure.

Song and Arteta continues to do the things needed in the middle they give a good hustle keeps the play clicking but above all gives the defense an outlet to pass too. Song tends to pick up frequent yellows though but he has coquelin and Frimpong to come in .. that aint bad .. aint bad at all

Djourou is doing ok in the wing back position it's a chance for him to get playing time and regain his confidence while not having the responsibility of being the sweeper .. plus the youth Jenkinson is back..

Santos is doing well while Gibbs recovers from yet another injury.
In my opinion Gibbs is better .. he's fitter, faster and he has a nice delivery but in terms of playing and understanding the game Santos is a brazilian ... so I like the competition created for that position

I know Ive been singing everyones praises and not Per personally I feel Verminator and Kos better than him but I cant deny that his presence has changed this defence around .. he's calm he's there when others slip up and although he gets beat he's never really fully beaten because he is so long ... I'd like to see him up against man City because they have the smaller quicker explosive types his positioning and anticipation will be tested .... but he was a good buy and he's a good presence for the team .. obviously an easy going guy.

Ox .... Arsene said something about him that his concentration is a bit off and he doesnt work back defensively and I see where he is coming from exposure in the champions league will help him mature a bit.

Park has scored and looks a good prospect confidence is a helluva a thing it would be nice if he can be come the reliable goalpoacher we need to back up RVP.

Sagna still to come back, as well as Wilshire and Gibbs and the tall man in the middle.

In Sces we finally have a reliable goalkeeper ... nuff said.

Gervinho looks a good replacement for Nasri truth be told Nasri doesnt really look happy at Man City guess maybe because he isnt the man there... that be Da silva .. but oh well

RVP .... simply wow theres so many good things about this guy he plays a post up game but drops deep so its dificult to mark him ...... he's fit for the first time in years fully fit and scoring but above all .... he is leading this team and embracing the captaincy ... he likes it he thrives on it .. last year Cesc was captain but he didnt embrace it his mind was elsewhere as we all know and the added pressure affected his game he looked unhappy ... I'm impressed with him big time.
At the end of the match RVP went over to applaud the spectators and gave a fan his jersey and the guy went crazy lol excellent stuff ... this team is coming together and they havent peaked theyre building up to it which is how it should be done .. I believe Man United has already peaked and Man City hasnt been tested by a team that doesnt fear them .. enter Arsenal!

Last but not least  "In Arsene we believe"  people wanted to fire him  ... he brought in Ryo, Ox, Arteta, Per , Santos, Gervinho, Joel (costa rican), Park, jenkinson ... people criticize him they dis him .. his team lost 8-2 with his weakest team because of injuries and suspensions (and we didnt have our deadine transfer or starters) they say he dead .. and he never stop believing he keep giving his players chances and having faith him in them AND now he leading this team .. to the promise land only managers of his calibre like fergie and mourinho could have done that with this team after suffering the loss of Cesc and nasri.
He balances out the injuries to gibbs via Santos, elevates the level of Kos via Per, keeps Theo guessing yet never losing faith with him with Ox on his tail, and utilizes Arshavin as a super sub and playing him in the hole in the carling cup he's realised how to get the best out of him  ....... We're leading our champions league group after having to qualify via a playoff against third place udinese who we beat in both legs and we're moving ... ladies and gents welcome to Coaching 101!
In Arsene we believe!

Nice win, but United has not peeked and Spurs are the the best team in London.

you better hope that united do peak i seriously feel is manu arsenal chelski spurs n pool fighting it out for 2nd 3rd n 4th this year i not seeing city dip they keep building and keep scoring, scary stuff. they doing like chelski, buy buy yuh first 2 years win a lil cup to taste victory, buy some more, have a big hungry squad then set them loose like a firework in a bathroom

News is AVB tear d players a new one in training the day after the game and instead of the usual 20min cool down session and getting to go home he keep they tail outside for a hard training session.

This team has to step up or they could find themselves in another rot like they did this time last season ....it would be even worse now tho as they are already 9 behind the leaders

They deserve every new one he rip them (Drogba, too!)...speaking of Drogba, is it me or did the same tackle that got him (deservedly) sent off against QPR the same one that some committed on Mata's goal?

just you
song didnt go in two footed at mata
song went in one leg trying to block the shot
there is a differencesong was trying to get between the ball and goal not tackling the man

tell ya what, an underpar arsenal was only defeated by a spurs team playing hard almost to the limit of thier potential. and there in lies the difference.

arsenal are not clicking, flowing, making the runs, clinical, ruthless, hungry and slow.

we are not playing the arsenal way

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! Period

I was there and spurs fans were singing aweful shite about wenger.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

You love the cheeky chants the supporters of english clubs come up with to show love or hate from the terraces.
Its a double edged sword so don't be shocked and amoral about it. This is my view after being in the crowd and hearing all the chants.

Not one racist chant, awesome. Two chants one each directed at opposition player and manager. The rest of the dozen or more chants were for arsenal support, RvP and Cheesey. The rest were chants at tottenhams lack of premier league titles, us winning the league at white hart lane in 1971 and 2004, that north london is ours, tottenham is a shit hole etc.

What was sung to adebayor was hateful spiteful and regretable. Many better things to have taunted him for.

"It should have been you! It should have been you! Shot in Angola, it should have been you!

Hoping to get a ticket to sundays derby at white hart lane, wish it was emirates but never been to a north london derby

OK i stayed quiet about this because i was fuming mad when i read the "quotes" glad they aren't true, but wishing, hoping praying arsenal meet barca for a 3rd year running in champs league.
Cesc Fabregas has revealed he has received an apology, retraction and damages after a magazine published an article claiming the Barcelona midfielder said he left Arsenal because he feared a prolonged trophy drought for the club.

Cesc Fabregas re-joined Barcelona this summer for around £35 million
Sport magazine attributed quotes to Fabregas, 24, which were soon rejected outright by the former Arsenal skipper, who left the Gunners for Barcelona this summer for a fee in the region of £35 million.

Fabregas has now confirmed that the issue is in the process of being resolved. He wrote on his official Twitter account: "Got the apology and retraction from that magazine that made up an interview about me. Can't believe some journalists.

"I will also get ... damages that I will give to charity. Hope it teaches them a lesson. I would NEVER say a bad word about Arsenal Football Club."

i feel he blinked at that moment, thought twice about a simple tap in or a cheeky chip? but for that nano second there was a blip in concentration.

however recent video footage that has since been removed from websites including wikileaks/sports.net shows SAF with a lazer pointer at the moment FT misses, an intricate arangement of refelctions off camera lenses and the referees whistle, aligned perfectly to pu tthe spanish hitman off his target...

sickness
voodoo
karma

something jus wrong man, need something extra f**king dramatic to wake shit up

now way playing like would you justify ever getting paid to perform like that. i the real job world men woulda been fired or on report already.

SOMETHING has to change, its the same khaki pants!

i mean rovers had 4 shots on goal! kos own goal wasnt even a shot at goal it was a cross back intop the 6yard box!
song like he blink or brain fart, until the ball hit him!~

tomorrow shrewsbury coming out for blood, any team coing at arsenal and we find it hard to win

we need to just put teams over our knees and flogg them mercilessly show no farkin respect for any side home or away! just get the job done! pretty football my arse we not even playing that anymore.

only thing pretty i want to see is silverware

yet we have a divided board, youngster earning more than they have earned, and senior players who should eanr more but find that more in pastures greener.

wake me when its over

hmmmm men quiet....

from what i can tell about the game v dortmund, the score lien could easily have been as bad as what we got at manchester....

so put that in perspective, whats changed? the defense looks a lil better (also i feel manu scored more than usuall on the opportunities presented to them (something a champion does))

we still havent found what works bestfor us, our attack seems disjointed and confused from game to game.

still not sold on benayoun at least he runs more than AA

again AA should not be playing out on the wing...

wenger also mentioned that dispite finishing 4th we had the best away record in the league last year, what really killed us was the number of games we drew, for get the loses, those draws killed us

so apart from dortmunds great/lucky? goal we faced two very attacking teams in europe and havent lost. bear in mind we have managed to feild our strongest teams for Champs league games vs not quite and certainly not first teams for the premireship.

we are getting back to full strength, even with jack rambo tommy n diaby out injured and frimpong suspended, i think gervinho and song are back for prem but in migth be wrong

blackburn a re a sticky wicket away, and even mor eunpredictable given the fans building dissent towards the manager and board. wil this affect theier teams performance come saturday? lets see how we perform saturday, what players wenger picks and how hungry those players are to win...

Mertsaker cannot jump! We knew he would be slow but his strength was supposed to be his heading ability which I was not sold on today. Cahill might have actually been a better option!!! The season is still young though.

If anybody thinking that Mertesacker's strength was buttin a ball, then they were sadly misinformed.  People fall into that trap because he so tall.  But Crouch and Dennis Lawrence are tall too but below average headers of the ball.

Mertesacker's strengths are his positional play and the fact that when he makes a tackle, it's clean, he invariably takes the ball away from the attacker (as happened on a few occasions in this game...notably a double take away in the first half), and doesn't tend to give away needless free kicks in dangerous areas.  Matter of fact, his tackling percentage without getting booked (yes...they keep track of these things) is so high, his nickname in Germany is "Mr. Clean".

Oh...BTW....Sinclair from Swansea is the first player I see thus far dat had Sagna in school.

Now I eh know if Sangna simply not match fit, or if he comin off an injury, or if is jes Sinclair mash him up like a novice.  But Sagna couldn't contain him whole match.

Sinclair is definitely one to watch this season.
Sagna was ill, has been hence why he wasnt at manu game...not sure if he turned out for france during international week...

Watched the Game at an Pub in Chicago, The GLOBE PUB, its a chicago gooners pub, but they show all the prem games (and every other sport) full of ex pats spurs, city, chelsea, everton, liverpool fans too. most manu fans go to a manu pub a few blocks away (think its time for a good ole fashioned yob rumble (joke))

that said i shall be the newest memebr of the CHICAGO GOONERS  :beermug:

watched the game and have to say there is a lot to improve! but promising...

still poor on off ball movements/runs into the box etc
theo and frimpong need an older respected head to clip them about the ears when they get lippy
still missing many players song, gervinho, Tommy V, Jackie Boy, Diaby (grudgingly but he's better than that shit snake coquelin)
per needs some adjustment, cheesy did awesomely to stop swansea from taking an early lead
our shooting was piss poor that day
AA should not be on the wing! if wenger wants him them start him behind two forwards!
maybe a line up like...4 3 1 2

sagna per tv gibbs
song jack frim
       AA
  walcott rvp

ah well onto champs game at home then blackburn looking forward to seeing what this team can bring

So I just read a brit article on just how much of a bad fit Per is for arsenal defense saying we don't have the team or formation for him to defend well. Added to the fact he got benched first international game last week and then had a terrible displlay yesterday.  Somebody really put a Hex on the gooners boy? Or are we team people love to hate? Want to see fail? Hate us for our ethics and policies?  God I can't wait till we prove them wrong...and I will say nothing because they will coninue to bray at the moon, donkeys that think they are wolves just because they run in a pack

When will it stop?

On another note, when will wenger unleash Ox n Ryo?

They will probably come off the bench in a few comfortable games and start in the Carling Cup
