The truth of the matter and let's be real, TNT can bring in whoever as Coach, any big name coach..... we players are not competent enough. Just look at the games, every game there are very simple basic mistakes that are made that costs us.....Not one player plays in any high-level league and it shows. A new coach can bring their own identity but the players have to execute and this is the issue we face.

QRC beat St. Anthony on penalties to win the tournament. It was a good lime and teams from all over came out to support the soccer.

Next year things will get even better because the word is out now.

Condolences to Rawle's family. This is sad news indeed. Memories of a cool dude when we played soccer as original members of W Connection soccer team back in 1999. Wow. Life is so short.

Conteh from Sierra Leone, he played for Joe Public. I can't remember the dude first name but his last name was John. He was a great player who played for Caledonia, I believe he came from Saint Vincent along with his national teamate who was a short stucky forward, I forget his name also, he also played for Caledonia. Jose Luis Seabra was a fantastic talent along with Jefferson Goulart, Titus Elva with those flips after he scored. There were alot of really exceptional players who passed through the pro league

I played with all these guys but Earl Jean when he played for Connection truly demanded respect throughout the league as he made a huge impact on and off the field.

just cool you are right and i agree with all you said. proper academies and youth development is needed to implement proper structure and mental development of the young talent.

I was only making reference to intercol soccer but not alluding that schoolboy soccer is the way to develop players, no way.

Yes we have scraped by on pure luck and raw talent and that is why we struggling as a soccer nation, it's not enough. Not even enough to beat the other Caribbean nations. It's the mental approach that will take the team to the next level, this is where we lack as a nation.

People may not want to accept it or not but in reality the talent level of players have fallen drastically over the years. The era of the strike squad's talent when all players were local compared to now when there are so many players in inferior leagues around the world is second to none. The talent has dissipated. You can even compare intercol back in the day to now and it is quite evident, TNT soccer has for the longest time been bad on a macro and micro level.

I can't even say we going through a transition period, we have been stuck in the rut for the longest time. Where is the next Latapy or Yorke? It's highly unlikely coach Hart can turn this demise around, it's not about a coach being the savior of TNT soccer.

When I played at W.Connection back in the day there was something we said, "Professionalism is an attitude." Life is all mental. The mentality of TNT players must change, in reality there is a culture issue that produces what we see on the field today. What else can it be.

Now hear me out, if the population as a whole loves fete match soccer, what do you think will be the mindset or culture of soccer in trini. You can't get a proper crowd at the PFL games, but for intercol where there is more of a show and a lime the crowd comes out. Yes, there are people who are trying hard to create the proper mindset for the sport but the underlying culture of trini has a lot to play in the finished result on the soccer field and a lot of the intricate details of life in trini.

I am a realist and this is my opinion. Everyone is entitled to one, ok maxg. You do not have to agree with it, just respect people's opinions and move on.

I want the best for TNT, would always give my support, I am just sickened when I see our brand of soccer. We can do better, i know we can, hopefully this dry spell turns around sooner than later.

As simple as someone's personal comment which everyone is entitled too makes for real drama on this socawarriors site. Why are trinidadians like that. I have been on this site for a very long time, I check it everyday but I simply refuse to make comments or post anything because of the fightdown and small talk which simply makes no sense.

Why people can't respect people's views and leave it like that. We should all be able to agree to disagree and keep it moving than this fight down and foolish bickering that trini people like.

I see it everyday on this site and I simply shake my head.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, whether someone agree or not. Respect is a must.

We as a people should be bigger than that and just keep the love.

After watching TNT vs Haiti I had to post this song in tribute to the national team, the ship has sunk. That was by far the worst performance to date and a very shameful performance.

I am sure after the 2-2 draw with El Salvador many bandwagonist came back in support of the soccer team but after last night's performance the line was drawn.

I love my soccer but Trinidad's soccer is just not attractive to watch, plain awful at times. I wonder if we play Tahiti who will win.

Carlos is meh boy and bleeder are two senior players but their time is up. The sad thing is that there are no players who can replace them with their experience. This is a shame.

How do you play two attackers who are so similar and stationary, there was no one to put the defenders under any pressure by making runs off the ball.

There was no creativity or imagination, not just in the last third, the whole pitch for TNT. I saw the El Salvador/Guatemala game and the creativity and imagination of the two teams were amazing, the midfielders would actually thread balls through knowing the attackers would be on the same page to make those runs, very nice indeed.

I have noticed that TNT players do not dribble anymore, even within the confines of team ball. This is shocking.

Our overall pace of game is too slow for elite soccer. As they is say in Trini - today for tomorrow.

I have not solutions for the team, just speechless. Where do we go next. How do we as a nation turn soccer around to get on the world's stage

Overall, F. The only way we can go is to fail forward

good game by kj, what all yuh is consider good. did he score, did he assist, did he really change the game. one time i saw tinto had a break away and he pass kj and home boy standup and did not run to give support, i was like that dude lazy. yes he did one or two things ok, held up the ball once and passed it off, another itme he distributed the ball wide, yes he had a header but for the most part he was missing in action. good u say. your standardsa too high dred.

if the englsih want 20 million for him, that means the english like him for his size etc, he could head the ball etc and if the market want tate him 20 million then so be it but he still not a rated player, to tell you the truth he is not rated 20 million, tevez and adebayor is rated 25 million and is way better than kj.

kj as usual, he no good, mess
spann, wayy boy, tata
carlos fight but nothing decisive, dansing around but no telling crosses, he needs to study beckham on them crosses.
tinto, composure brethren, this is not intercol football, play it simple
scotty look heavy boy, touches all over the place
cornell i were missing for most of the game, should have scored that lob.

tnt football just missing something, we brand of football just does not look like world class brand, back to the drawing boards.

kenwyn jones is not a striker, he is a player without a position. he is not comfortable in front the goal. just because he has size the english put him infront but it is like fitting a square in a trinagle. he has no touches, cah control and lack the prowess and instinct as a striker.

how in the world he starts for tnt amazes me. stern produced, his numbers showed for himself, yes later on he slowed up with age but he was class. people saying kj is only 24 but in modern football stars produce at that age, at 24 stern was a star producing goals.

i do not see kj getting much better until he gets a position he is comfortable. where that is i do not know.

TNT NEEDS A COACH LIKE ENGLAND'S CAPELLO

he would not take any crap from jack warner, he will run the show and he will command trhe respect of the players. yes he strict, he is a different breed but he will get the job done.

the coach has a big part to play to bring out the best from the players and a coach like capello will surely scare the heck out of the players to perform or take the bench. if capello was the coach do u think kj still playing, ha.

i cah say anything about latapy but does he get the respect from the fellas, what is his leadership skills in leading the warriors forward. is he the right coach, i do not think he is of of now, tnt need a more seasoned veteran and latapy can be his understudy. he was given this job prematurely and out of emotion. only the future will tell

the problem is not just calling up the youths, it is developing the right culture for the generations to come. the current system has to be scrapped and a new culture established. them same under 20 players have the same bad habits as the big team, cah pass, cah trap, cah knock the ball, lack of fitness and it goes on and on, lack of technical ability etc.

u can call them up but i believe tnt will get the same result. it is a shame.

case in point, the school intercol does not help develop the youths, it develops bad habits and does not help to get the players better, its more like a show league, dribble dribble, playing for the crowd etc, it does not help refine the players to meet international standard. when our young players playing school football the other players in the world's tops countries playing top football and training hard to become pros themselves, how can we compete ever. in america they take the top talents and put them up in the training facilities in florida and they also go to school there. what does tNt have in store for the young talents, nothing really, only talk and dotishness.

you all not serious as a country and it reflects in all areas as a society and it trickles down to the soccer field too.

so just calling up the youth is not the answer even short term, tnt needs a complete overhaul. if something is not done soon, trini football is dead and dying quickly.

rememebr jack warner would not be around to spoon feed the federation for too long, what happens when he is no longer around? look how easy it was for the under 20 to qualify for that world cup, thanks uncle jack, its a mirage really.

one question, are our players in high demand to play in the leagues overseas, no, why is that, and even if they get a contract it is to play in the lower leagues. do not tell me about kj(thanks god for his size), if he was not that physical he would not be in europe, probably playing for w connection still. so when this current crop fades away, stern john(we missing him on the team, sad to say), carlos, etc, who is in the wings to take over. i just know that the young players like peltier feel they make it big already but they still in trinidad fighting up.

trinidadians have skills but skills does not make u a professional, i hope the young players know that, if not someone needs to let them know that they need to learn true professionalism and make football a job and work damm hard to make it a career.

i am so so disappointed in the level of the football played by tnt and there is so much work needed to be done for tnt to be a world class football nation

i saying that the man not any good long time, he not a striker and his instincts and skill(lack of) show that.

why am i still on this site, wasting my time writing about the soca girls. the team just not good enough, the level of trinidad soccer is so low and the admistration kills it off.

well well the under 20 in the world cup thanks to uncle jack, looking to see the set of licks they getting soon.

i am naturally a positive person but i have lost all hope with trini soccer, the level so low and it just not getting any better.

we as a nation need to start from scratch and develop a new breed of players, mentality to begin with, tactically then physically.

the attitude of the nation reflects in th soccer team, this is a shame, sorry for who offended by this statement but it is the truth, one day trinidad u all will overcome.

latapy not ready as a coach, i hope u all who wanted latapy as the coach real happy. he is inexperienced and not up to par with world football, yes is the palyers who play but it is the coach to have them ready.

jack you have done alot for football in trini, u have done alot of wrong too, i wonder when jack steps aside what will become of trini soccer in terms of the financial resources needed for the developmment of the game.

wow i ave so digressed form talking about kenwyn jones, well he is nothing to talk about that is why. it is ashamed he has a name in england that he gets an automatic pick for this team.

steupps, this may be my last post forever on this site, soccer i trini is dead and i hope it gets life in the future.
