Streams:

There are two to try. I hope at least one will work:

Special thanks to a partner of mine (who is English born of Jamaican heritage! - so don't say they aren't helping us out). He will be sending me the BBC2 feed and it can be viewed here once it's up on Saturday:

http://meta.globix.net/m/wm/c9l/wln-21/COMP001071LIV1_wales.wvx

The other I will pull from the point alive site, but I never got in touch with them and I don't know if it will crash under the strain of many users like it did with Peru:

Football / Barca plan American expansion

http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=324671&CPID=23&clid=&lid=10&title=Barca+plan+American+expansion

Quote
Barcelona have revealed plans to form a team to play in the American MLS.

The Catalans believe it will help to boost their global appeal and president Joan Laporta confirmed the idea was no gimmick.

"Barcelona have a lot of plans," Laporta declared

"One of them is that Barcelona play their own team in the MLS, but now it is at the development stage.

"The MLS's characteristics are very different from the Spanish league but we want to play in the United States.

"However, we do not understand the rules completely yet."

The MLS is divided into a two-zone format, with 12 teams playing in both the East and West Conferences.

However, it is possible to buy a team franchise as president of Mexican side Chivas, Jorge Vergara did last season.

He then established 'Chivas USA' who played in the Western Conference, but struggled, ultimately finishing the season bottom of the division.

It now seems Barca are planning a similar move, although the plan is some way of coming to fruition.

I wonder who they'd get to play for them? their B side? and would that even be beneficial for the young players? and considering that the MLS season is in the summer it is possible for youngsters to play both in MLS and b league
I know Chivas did somthing similar so what players do Chivas put on their Chivas USA team? Are those guys from the youth squad or just guys not good enough for the real team??
As a side benefit with a team there... for example when a player has a serious injury he might tell them to join the MLS team over the summer and make a few guest appearances to recover... like for serious injuries like knee ligament damage.
If this does happen and is successfull, and they last more than a couple years, yuh think we could expect Real Madrid, AC Milan, Man U, Chelsea and all the others courting the US marked to follow suit.

Football / Re: Warner: Supporters Club coming with first dibs on tics
« on: November 20, 2005, 06:16:24 PM »
Anyway, how do you solve this problem in the future.  A few suggestions:

1. Develop a database of former national players (at all age levels).  This is similar to something that Tallman told me he wants to do when we spoke in Piarco airport on Thursday.  Provide them at least the option of purchasing 2 tickets for international games.  It is the least we could do for those who made sacrifices to represent this great nation.  I am certain that at any given time there will not be more than a few hundred people on this list.

this is somthing i in full agreeance with....

new development...

Quote
(LOC) Germany 2006 Ltd that the sale of tickets for the abovementioned game will commence on November 11, 2005 from 8.00 am to 4. 00 pm at three venues ONLY - Hasely Crawford Stadium - Port of Spain, Skinner Park - San Fernando and in the east, at the Arima Velodrome. Remaining tickets will be available at the Hasley Crawford Stadium on the 12th from 9.00 am.

Instead of using selected RBL and KFC outlets as they did in the past, the LOC's decision to change the arrangement is 'to protect us (and KFC) from the large influx of fans that are likely to converge upon branches to purchase tickets" and the inherent crowd and security control issues .

The public will be advised of the change in due course.
