Most interested in the times that will be run by our sprinters in the finals. Its good to win but how fast you running at this stage in the season can indicate how much more work you need to put in before the world championships

Well i hope our timing system is working well.

Imagine DL left 25 year old Ranjitsingh on the bench for 30 year old donkey Foncette. Imagine dat!! SMFH

What is the basis of this statement?

I had hoped that Dennis would have used this opportunity to cap Glen, but saying that Foncette is a donkey is indicative of the mindset of some people.

If Joevin in puts his mind to it, nothing but a tractor would stop him from getting crosses in from the right, regardless of his dominant foot.

Quick question..........crosses for who?

pull stones, I disagree with you on Dwight. Dwight did quite well and succeeded. Could have lasted longer at ManU? Maybe. But Dwight did it all.
deeks Dwight did it on raw talent and his love for the game but if Dwight had actually put his shoulders to the wheel and put the boozing the partying and the fraternizing behind him and seriously worked on his craft that boy would have been the absolute king of the hill, that dude had it all and I mean all that it takes to be the best baller ever, that is why sir Alex was sore at him because he saw the potential in Dwight to be the best ever.

Ask Floyd mayweather what was the secret to his success and he will be sure to let you know that it was dedication to his craft and less bullshiting with his mates, in fact ask any great athlete Micheal jordon -Lionel Messi - christiano ronaldo- usain bolt- those lads put in the over time mate, itís not guess work itís actual science.

Stern and Latapy also had what it took to have a very long and successful careers in the sport, do you know how hard it is to score 69 international goals? Thatís a mega achievement in case you didnít know. if stern was actually dedicated to his craft people would still be talking about him instead of phenomeno. our boys survive only on raw talent and itís time they learn to put in the extra work that would afford them better ball control concentration and foot to eye coordination which only comes with constant practice.

I disagree. Dwight did put in the hard work. I remember reading an article after a GC win, while the team was celebrating downstairs Yorke was absent. The reporter went to his room only to realise Dwight was working out in his room before coming down to celebrate.

There were other instances right in Tobago while on vacation Dwight would be seen training early in the morning. So to say Dwight wasnt king of the hill because of a lack of dedication to craft is an extreme exaggeration in my opinion.

Alex may not have approved of the lifestyle Yorke was pushing off the field and used that against him, but Yorke has always been dedicated to his craft. Look at the time at Sunderland ....Yorke at 35 was rated the fittest player at the club.

 :beermug:
i was in England when Dwight was at villa and man unitied and itís common knowledge that Dwight loved the night life and did a whole lot of partying, the reason why it didnít affect him as much was because heís a freak of nature with great genes whoís happens to be super gifted, and with the necessary work required he would have been a monster.

he was the only player in our countryís history to go straight to top flight English football at such a tender age bypassing the lower leagues entirely. thereís no mystery that man was super talented and had all the goods to be the next pele had he put in the work, and no he did not put in the work.

It is laughable that you actually think that Dwight Yorke didnt put in the work.  Many people associated with the clubs that Dwight played for are synchronized in voice when it comes to the amount of work that he puts in.

I understand your point about the need for hard work, but Dwight isnt a good example.  Maybe if you had used Arnold Dwarika, your point would have been better received since i think it is a good point, but even to this day, Dwight still puts in the work and his fitness is never taken for granted.

ah love it!!

Unsuccessful;

https://www.liga-zwei.de/sv-darmstadt-98-kein-vertrag-fuer-alvin-jones/

(google translate of important bit;)

"While the search for a new center-back continues, Alvin Jones, who has been tested in the training camp in Spain, is not required. The 24-year-old right-back, brother of Joevin Jones, could not completely convince coach Dirk Schuster and returns to Trinidad and Tobago, according to the Darmstadt Echo."

I heard today that he got thru with a contract.  Not sure with who.  Will see if i get more details tmrw.  I wish him all the best!

Quick Question:

Has any Trinidadian coached or been involved in coaching at a level similar or even close to what Dennis Lawrence was exposed to at Wigan, Everton and Belgium?

Canadian national football is higher than Wigan and Everton.... beligium of course is higher than Canadian but Hart is far better

Canadian Football is what? Higher than Wigan or Everton? Ok cool......this not even worth continuing

I wish it was... when the topic of racial discrimination came up as to why Greg wasnít selected, I said it has a lot to do with Jan and some members blocking his selection, Andre Samuel somewhat agreed with this line of reasoning ...

So no it wasnít ole talk ... if there is a better keeper locals protecting their place would block it for self preservation

What are you talking about? I was there when Ramjitsingh was in the squad and he looked pretty decent and i heard that Hart liked him.  I HAVE NEVER suggested anything relating to RACIAL DISCRIMINATION.  What kind of crazy name dropping is this?

What i know for sure is that it is the coach's call which players are selected............NOT A RACIAL PREJUDICE!!

In my opinion, Greg should at least be in our squad, since i dont think that there are 3 keepers locally that are better than him.

Football / Nicklas Frenderup Thread
« on: October 18, 2018, 03:07:34 PM »
Just saw a Facebook post of a guy named Nicklas Frenderup stating the following.  "Very proud to announce that I am going to represent Trinidad and Tobago national team"

He's a 25 year old goalkeeper coming out of Denmark.  He plays professionally in the second division in Norway and his mother is  a Trinidadian.

He seems pretty confident that he is going to play for TnT. He just got his passport sorted.

Meanwhile, Greg Ramjitsingh still waiting to be called up.

Interesting discussion

I have seen Ramjitsingh play once and i have seen him in training live once.  He seems a very competent keeper.  Very good on crosses and pretty decent positionally.

I agree that he should at least be in our national set up as a worse case scenario 3rd string keeper, even tho i think he is better than Marvin.

Jan is still our undisputed number one keeper! He commands the respect of the rest of the team and he is one of the leaders in the squad.

I asked a member of the technical staff about Greg and i was told that Hart liked him alot, but he wasnt good enough to risk the possible impact on team chemistry, especially the defensive team chemisrty.

However Jan and Marvin are both around 32.  So i expect this to be their last campaign.  Hopefully, the technical staff will see Greg's value sooner rather than later and start integrating him into the national team so that we wont have the chemistry issues by the time the next campaign rolls around.

ah love it!!

The list you have there is good, but i disagree with Marc Burns on that list.  He consistently made Finals over the years which is no easy feat.  Essentially, he was in the top 10 world sprinters for more than 5-6 years

No man can know it all...Unless he is a fool
No one can know the whole truth
Yes...
But if we only put our heads together we can come to a much better comprehension of the truth
Name calling and demeaning where does that get us
In the end which is where we all strive for ...I am positive we all want the same result
We all want the best and to see the same
We should all stop wearing our emotions on our sleeves...Man up and be respectful of each other
It's time to grow up..And I am not referencing physical growth ...But mentally
This tit for tat shit is very childish
All I have is common sense...Those who know better should take the lead
It's unwise to know better and do it not

Thank you. This is what I talking about. I know damn well that some of these members here who into the name calling and insults are well into their 40s and 50s.. But when you read their comments you would think otherwise. I telling some of allyuh go and read some of the comments that these teenagers on Instagram and Facebook does post. Not much different than what our fellow members on here post. If you know how I HATE reading the bickering and name calling that I does see on here. And some of all yuh wonder why we youth does get into all kind of beef and rivalry with each other..

We just lost a fellow member weeks ago. RIP Weary. So let we try to be civil with each other.. And if that make some of allyuh upset. Then is real beasts we have on this forum.

This forum wasn't created for insulting and name calling. We have more to gain from each other by being civil and reasoning with each other. As I said if this post here get people vex.. Then something really wrong.

What nonsense is this i am reading?

Have you been reading the posts?  Gino is the one who insults and attacks everyone who doesnt share his opinion.  I disagreed with him once and called me a puppet for the dictator.  Since then he has had an issue with everything i said.  I am not into the name calling, but i will call a spade a spade and say this.

No one in their right mind would come within a stones throw of what Gino has been saying.  He is not the same person that i have known for the past 12-15 years.

Not only does he post the wildest of conspiracies, but he finds a way to repeat it in every singe facking thread.
