You should have played the local keeper, that Ailon dude is shit, he got beaten on his near post then over his head. Ottley is way better than him.

Young Warriors face El Salvador for quarter-final spot
By Jelani Beckles (T&T Newsday).

THE Trinidad and Tobago Under-17 boys football team will try to upset El Salvador in the round of 16 of the Concacaf Under-17 Championships, at the Estadio Pensativo, in Guatemala on Sunday at 9 pm TT time.

T&T qualified for the knock-out stage after finishing third in Group B with one point after getting one draw and two losses. T&T sealed their place in the knock-out phase after playing to a 1-1 draw against Barbados in the final round of the group phase. An 82nd-minute equaliser from Lindell Sween was enough to see T&T qualify for the next round.

Before the match against El Salvador, T&T lost 3-2 Canada and fell 3-1 to the US.

The T&T defence will have a challenge keeping the El Salvador attackers at bay as the Central Americans scored eight goals in group play.

El Salvador finished second in Group D after ending the preliminary stage with a crushing 4-0 win over Suriname. In earlier matches, El Salvador lost 4-1 to Honduras and defeated Haiti 3-1.

Coach Shawn Cooper said: “We want to play in transition and use the speed of our wingers in the transition—we want to stretch them,” he said. “The Central American teams don’t like you in their face and they don’t like you to run at them. They play a lot with their bodies when they don’t have the ball and try to foul you early, so you can’t use your foot speed.

“We are expecting that and we are trying to prepare our boys for that.”

Whoever knows anything fraid the FBI and in turn the US government so they not saying a word. They already stated that it's a silent indictment and big heads supposed to be involved so if that is true, the FBI will be very harsh on anybody who screws with their case.

I could understand why Rooney had to get sex when his wife was pregnant (ask any married father what sometimes goes on during pregnancy) but why pay for it when i am sure he would have gotten it free.

Look back at the England game and examine Carlos Edwards' play, he was refusing to even throw the ball to the local defender Cupid, yes he had a bad game but the man free as a bird and Carlos still forcing the throw inside to Stern and we losing the ball. Also Carlos should have been helping Cupid defend against Barry and Downing i think because that's what a midfielder is supposed to do but where was he?? I think there's something definitely up in our team judging by the attitude we are seeing from some players towards each other.

Who's this Sam, you fuh real??? Which other FA asks their government for money, none, Fifa does handle every association with money and where is the TTFF money going, right in jack pocket and he's not giving anything back. The government give them money for world cup and still can't get the accounts and you want them to give them more money, are you slow, simple or stupid??

Take a shoe lace and do T&T a favour :rotfl: :rotfl:

I just glad i didn't spend my money and go the game again. If i only knew that shit was going on in there, i would have stayed from home and pelt some big stone on the field and buss a few heads. Father's day keep me home and my son was crying for no reason that i could see a lot of the day but i'm sure it was a better spent day than if i had gone that mess of a game. The worst thing though is that anthem thing, if that is real, boy oh boy we're in more shit than anybody would have thought. Right now it looks like the players will be at home in T&T watching Africa on tv.

11
Carlos can't even hit a cross and he want to play he's taking free kicks..waste of time all around

12
And all the fools in the stadium cheer this man and boo the minister. So many foolish people live in our country and people still asking why the country the way it is. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Football / Re: Carlos, what did you guys think??
« on: June 03, 2008, 08:28:56 AM »
Up to this day, Edwards still can't cross the ball, trinis jumping up in the stands when Carlos doing nothing but cutting back or across and people figure he beating his man but he not making any forward progress. He also never supported the right back in any form or fashion. Cupid needed a talking to by someone on the field and he needed the support of his midfield partner and he got neither. People say Carlos is a shadow of his old self and i say he's just a shadow. A big 30 year old man and still cn't cross a good ball :-[ :-[

Are you all blind, this just proves what i thought all along, i was telling my sweat partners that England was paying their way and for everything regarding this trip. This was my theory and that is why the FA is making a loss because they don't really want to play us but it's a must because they want the vote so whatever demands Jack throw at them, they have to bend and take it although they will 'ben' and screw and make a loss.

Are you the same fella who published the breaking news story about the western sky taking on a strange red tinge every evening?

I also said you were smart and to boycott the game but nobody listened especially to the first part... :rotfl: :rotfl:

Football / Re: British press: Warner dictating financial terms
« on: May 24, 2008, 06:56:34 AM »
Once again, the T&T public got a 6 for a 9 from Jack Warner. We going to see a second string English side with no set of big names and since 'ALL' the tickets already sold out Jack smiling all the way to the bank and we getting seconds as usual. I figure they knew all along that England wouldn't send their big name players down here because they have nothing to gain (the players that is) and the FA tell Capello to release a statement saying that all players must report if called up knowing full and well we in Trinidad will be reading all the news so we got chained up. fatten Jack pockets without hesitation then Capello now saying the exercise is not worthwhile. He must not even know how to spell Trinidad far less Tobago and must have told the FA "Siete tutto il pazzo, perché siamo che andiamo a questo puntino giocare questi shithounds" :rotfl: :rotfl:

If these were Sterns' words, he has definitely improved from school days. It was nice reading and as the man said, his stats really do speak for him. It will only be left to seen what the future holds for him regarding TT football but the good thing is that he is one of Corneal's cash cows too  ;) :-X

i won't be there, but i think i'll reconsider ever supporting PNM again i this match cancel... if this is the way Gary hunt move. look at the timin of this ting.petty
i wonder if jack onto something when he say that gary not into football...

This is exactly what Warner wants people to do, he politicises everything to make the current government look bad and he's the biggest thief in the country. All the crime happening and he can't say a word because he's a white collar criminal himself, the worst of the lot.

On the fact of the stadium rental, the agreement was always there but since the TTFF never have money, they used to get a 'bligh' now the stadium management realise the kind of money being hidden, they must have said no more. Gary Hunt still giving them a bligh because he said he'll take the 150k and not the 10% of gate money which is more. Jack could pull that money out of his wallet but since he's the scamp who he is, he doesn't want to pay and then have people thinking he's lost a battle.

Football / Re: Maturana names his squad for England clash.
« on: May 20, 2008, 07:22:27 AM »
FATZ, I have a question.

Do you really think that you can compare the Eredevisie with League One?

Daryl Roberts is one of our better players.  He is playing in a high league and has a work rate that is 20 times higher than Jason Scotland's.

It's true that Scotland scored a whole heap of goals and in my opinion he should be in the squad.  But the comparison and the justifications between him and Roberts are out of order.

Roberts starting/off the bench for a team in a league that is in the top 15 leagues in the world, and u want to compare that to league one? Are u serious?

As i said before, Maturana went to a Swansea game and saw the same thing that the section of Swansea fans have been booing for some time. A poor work ethic.  The coach knows what kind of players he wants in his team and i think at this point in time, he aint want to have Scotland and Stern John...........lol

nb: Kenwyne only scored 7 goals this season too.

eredevisie is better than league one yes but Scotland still scored 26 goals and goals is goals in any competition because you still have to be able to score them and he was working fine enough and he deserved a pick more than Roberts because of the way Darryl got his pick. I'll just leave it to performance on the day and see what happens with whoever starts the England game then we could fight each other down and everybody else who decides to jump in the battle. I can't wait for the jabber after the match!!! To hear and see who have to eat their words. :rotfl: :rotfl:

n.b Kenwyne also had about or over 10 assists
Jermaine Beckford was right behind Scotty with 20. Ah waiting for his England call-up.

Is this a trick question or are you that foolish? Don't even bother to reply because i'm done speaking about this topic

They mad to leave out Scotland, Roberts only in there because that is one of Corneal's cash cows.
Roberts is there because he was playing and scoring in a top flight European league. Just because you don't follow the Dutch league, or because he doesn't have 20 threads dedicated to him, doesn't mean his pick is undeserved.

If you only knew the real story behind Roberts you would never be saying that, how many goals did he score for Sparta? 7 is the answer and right now he's out of a contract and Sparta just finish above the drop zone, Corneal set up the contract and get big money now he is out of contract, he has to get caps to get another contract meaning more money for Corneal and since the beginning Corneal was the man scouting for and pcking the side for Maturana.
How many goals did Kenwyne score for Sunderland and where did they finish in their league?

Corneal could set up what he want. If Roberts wasn't performing to the required level at Sparta, he wouldn't be getting games. And he has been getting games and starting consistently throughout the season. So, the fact remains he's a Eriedivisie standard player who has had reasonable success in that league. So his pick is deserved. Who make money off of it, me eh business.

Know your facts, for the last 2 months he got 2 starts and was substituted at halftime for the 2nd start then he played a sub role for the remainder of the season with his most mins being 30 so i guess he was a consistent sub and his last goal was on the 9th March

Ah boy Fatz....another one bites de dust....hear wha...if yuh get ah ticket just make sure yuh come in a black juzzy!!

Fellas, de tickets are for his brother  ;D

:rotfl: :rotfl: what a good brudda Fatz ;)
ya brudda might need somebody to go wid him ent

If everyone had a brother like me, the world would be a better place. You could go to the game by yourself, i did it for the Bahrain game. You must see someone you know, that's just how it is with trinis. You could go quite Australia for a trip and somehow you'll bounce up another trini and you'll get a lime. We all over!!

You wasn't the one who was lambasting people for not boycotting ???

I wouldn't say i was lambasting, i was just saying we as trinis, have no balls so we would not boycott as i want and will support

But FATZ you eh find this sounding kinda lambastish ???

All the no balls trinis, just keep bending over and taking it from the back, we do that in everything and it seems there will be a gay pride parade just now. KFC gone up, they quarreling while in the line then smile with the cashier and make they order. Chicken prices cut in half is a headline in the papers today, yuh think KFC price going and drop, NO and not one man jack will breathe a word, just continue to fatten prestige pockets. The same goes for the football all the money they made for the cup, they try to hide it, the government blow the whistle on them and they still trying to hide, ease we up and give the fans a bligh. Warner throwing dollar party for carnival, why doesn't he throw a TT$100.00 football game as a show of appreciation for the fans. Boycott of the game will be the biggest statement we could make as a people. The wear black thing is just a sugar coating of sh1t and the end when yuh lick the sugar off, all you'll be left with is sh1t. I'm tempted as the days go by to buy a ticket but i'm holding my resolve so i'll go outside the stadium in a black jersey but i'll not go in and i challenge all the people to do the same. Also someone should try to contact Lasana Liburd, i think he will definitely be interested in writing something about the black day as i call it, he may even get Jenkins to write something in the English press.

and whappen to yuh stand? take care yuh end up with no balls like de rest ah dem..

I was now reading that(posted before i read the board because i was having an argument with some co-workers) It burns me to know the barmy army coming and i won't be going but i decided that i will be standing up against oppression more now and by boycotting this, that's my stand. Even if it's by myself, i'll stay strong and go all the way although it burns. The wearing black thing is a pretty good idea but the fans will still have paid their money. It will also be hard for it to be successful since there are way too many posers who will be going to the game (unfortunately) and they just turn it into some kind of catwalk. I was alone in the Bahrain game (last game i saw T&T play in) and it seemed as though it was halftime throughout the game because most people were just walking around modelling (good eye candy though) and disturbing my view of the game. Black isn't the most fashionable colour today so the posers and non-supporters will find it hard and most likely won't even give a sh1t about a protest. Good luck in getting support though but for it to work, it'll need more than a post on this forum. I suggest it be posted on every possible forum, triniscene, trinituner and whatever other forum trinis gather on.

I never singled out any one person, it was a generalised statement i made and that's far from lambasting, if i wanted to lambast, i'd be on every post beating people about going but it makes no sense because just posting clearly will not work so i just gave up trying to get people to boycott because as i said, it makes no sense because in the end trini mentality will take its course. Unless i have some kind of incriminating evidence against everyone going to the game and i threaten to release it with pics at the game then everyone will still go.... :rotfl: :rotfl:
