I supported Germany.
But in the cofee shop I was in, everyone in the end began cheering for the Polish goalkeeper!
Not the teams, the keeper!
This guy is amazing & I am sure his price will go up!

We have a scottish guy at work and he said he wanted your man "Scotland" to score the winning goal. So the next day the headlines will read:

SCOTLAND KICKS THE SHIT OUT OF ENGLAND

Which is a headline he will never see in his life as he said!  :rotfl:

1 - I promised to cheer for Trini
2- I will always cheer against England.

I HAVE TWO GREAT REASONS TO CHEER FOR YOU!
I can't wait for that match! Make Beckham cry!

Oh, but one word in your ear, Do not be over confident.
Do not be happy before the match.

Look how Bahrain celebrated before the trini match and now we are at home.
Please Trinis, don't let the draw get to your head. I want to see you in the next round.

Good luck and we support you.

Thanks for the support & good to hear from you.
Aren't two of the best Equador player playing in your Quatar league ?
Man your league is getting better and better.
succes.

Thanks for all the beautiful words.

Qatar is actually a neighbouring country. Its not the Bahraini league.
The Bahraini league is poor so it feed players to the Rich Qatari league.

You may want to see what Qatar is doing, they are really focusing on sports
they have the best sports Acadamy in Asia. Look at www.aspire.qa

What the Bahraini Press is saying about T&T:

Mohammed Ali Hussain of Alwatan Sports said  (transelated):

The Soca warriors made us dizzy yesterday. They played with a special flavour and transformed themselves from the limited to the infinite.
I kept on looking for the locations of amazement in their game. Those who put an end to our “mondialic” dreams, oh how they embarrassed the “Vikings”.
Alert & sharp, gentle and predator in the same time. More than one arrow of innovation streaking through time & space.
They even got out of their tough spots with intelligence. Just like how they got out of the cocoon in front of us”

Hello guys!

I heard in the News that Iran may be Banned because of thier nuclear activities and if that happens Bahrain will take over.

How do you feel about that?

I can tell you from now that all bahraini's don't care anymore. But they are split into two: one side says we shouldn't go because thats wrong & disrespectful.
Another side says in 1992 Ygoslavia had the same happen to it & Denmark went instead. So its a good chance to gain experience.

I wanna know what you think.

And another thing, I went to an Irani forum to see what they are saying, and as usual, they are disrespecting us and insaulting us.
But this time its different!
They are insaulting your socawarriors too!
One Bahraini poster was defending the warriors saying how good Yorke was but... well...  you read the forums & tell me if you can talk to these guys because I woun't even try.

Thanks to everyone who replyed, your comments are much appreciated.
JDB gave us a very decent argument, thank you for that.

I am looking at how other leagues developed like Japan, USA and of course T&T. I am writing a study to be published in Alayam newspaper, inshallah.

Our football is 50 years old next year, but it was always treated as a hobby with no ambition of world status. That just started in this centuary which makes my team young and in-experienced.

Thanks Trinis, I will be watching all your games. Make me proud.

Football / I am doing a study, I need T&T's help
« on: April 20, 2006, 06:23:28 AM »
Hi guys..

Hope you didn't forget me already! I told you Im staying right!  ;D
I have a question to ask T&T please!
The Bahraini football scene is very messy now after you guys won the last match. Small problems are coming out, people want to change. Clubs demand a better association. Players demand better pitches. etc etc...

I think this is all good. In business, the stages to a performing team are:
Forming; Storming; Norming; Performing

I am glad Bahrain is Storming now. I hope after the dust settles down we will have a better football team and a better organisation like you guys.

I would like to know, after you were unsuccessfull last time in getting into WC, how was the reaction and what changes happened?
Did the rules or laws change?
Did players change?
What is different between T&T89 & TNT 2006?

Thanks in advance to everyone who will take time to answer.

BTW, I am fully supporting you as promised in WC. I hope you do well.

And pleeeease beat the English! I don't want a draw, I want you to WIN! I studied in scotland so I really want to see you beat them!  ;D They deserve it.

Football / Re: Pele, Maradona or Ronaldinho?
« on: January 16, 2006, 07:03:59 AM »
Redbelt:

Answer the question nah?

What does Maradonna's off the field indiscretions have to do with his on field performance and his status as the greatest "player" ever?

Because I t hink a sportsman is more than mere skills
Its also attitude, respect for others, acceptance of defeat, acting like a role model & so on, things we call "sportmanship".
however, if you will compare purely skill then that is a different matter.

you don't want to hear this, but if Iran is kicked out, Bahrain will fill its place as the closest squad to WC after Iran.

...

Yeah I don't want to see that either!  ;D

PELE

While Maradona was a good player, he was not a good sportsman with all his drug problems

Ronaldinhio is too young to be a legend. But he will be.

Redbelt...good to see yuh back bruddah, was beginning to think yuh forget about we.

Senior level, high school, college etc need to be able to play a full 45min half. Its the world game and thats how d world plays.

Thanks mate..

Anyway, we have such high heat & humidity in summer its not funny. Imagine over 45C at night and over 95% humidity.

Your body will over heat with no way to cool down (your sweat will not evaporate), so maybe training sessions OK IMO. but official ones no. Because if we can play well in humid conditions, we may not doo too well at aroun 15C and below. THATS home advantage.

Oh, don't forget hight from sea level, the higher you are, the less O2 you enhale.
